Cons: For the price, the room was laughably small. The bed, quite literally, took up almost the entire room. The bathroom had more space to move around in. For two people it would have been very frustrating.

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, when we couldn't print using the Internet station they quickly accommodated us by printing for us. The staff spoke multiple languages and helped us figure out where to get tapas and how to get around. I stayed in two different rooms in the space of a week and showed are nice, one had a very modern three mode shower. The wifi was free, quick and I didn't experience any dead zones in the two rooms I stayed in. It's located about a hour walk (at casual pace) from the Camp Nou, a bus to the Camp Nou passes directly outside and it's across the street from a Barcelona City tours stop. There are tons of restaurants and shopping within 30mins walk any direction.
Cons: The elevators are tiny! They hold about 5 adults and barely 3 with luggage. The printer/Internet kiosks are old, slow and a bit unreliable. The breakfast was just OK. We had A/C problems in one of the rooms from the first day and it was never *really* fixed. The showers don't have in lights, they get a decent amount of light from the rest of the bathroom but they are enclosed so it's a bit murky.

Pros: Rooms were nice and clean, and the price was excellent - particularly bearing in mind that it came with a pool.
Cons: See through shower walls, so no privacy when sharing a room. Also, the Sky bar (the only bar in the hotel) was closed the whole time, except Tuesday afternoon. The pool hours could have been longer also.

Pros: We checked in with Daniel in the front, who was AMAZING. He is so sweet, attentive, and adorable. We couldn't stop talking about what a gem he is. He gave us tipa for our stay, offered to print out our tickets to La sagrada familia, which were ready for us as soon as we went downstairs. We really enjoyed the customer service here it was the best received in our entire trip in Spain.

Cons: hotel should be mostly for gays. There were many straight couples, guess they did not know they arrived in a gay hotel. looks like too many straights for the gay community, to many gays for the straight guests. I am gay but this time the mix was not good. Check in lasted forever, they write you a guest pass by hand, it takes forever... worst check in in my life. Hotel was not able to provide service to print out my online boarding pass.. what a shame. I did not feel anything of the original gay concept, I felt they just sold out the hotel to anybody just to make money ( whats ok), but this was not my axel hotel from some years ago. It was just a very busy hotel and not sure if the value for the hotel was very good this time. Just my opinion.

When we arrived, needed to use the toilet facilities - no toilet paper in the large one on the 1st floor - went to dining room to inquire for paper or another facility to use. Was given napkins for the restaurant to use.

Gym doesn't open until 10am and then closes between 1 and 4pm. Means you can't work out before work which is frustrating. Roof top pool is nice. Bar is nice too. Breakfast is very basic although priced cheap. Location is great for BCN.

Cons: The kettle in the room leaked, the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and so it smelt unpleasant, the sink did not drain properly and there were problems with the bedside light electric switches, the room was noisy from the street.

Pros: The overall value was good. In a high tourist season in Europe the quality, location and cleanliness of the hotel was a good value for what I paid.
Cons: The hotel staff was rather dry and unfriendly. On my second day the wifi passwords had changed and I had to go downstairs to the lobby to ask for the new password. The only front desk attendant was giving everyone horrible attitude that asked for the new password, although he knew all the passwords had been reset.
