Pros: Clean carCons: No chance to review pre-existing damage with employee, I documented a paint chipped area myself, but when I returned the car they said I was lying. Now they want to make an insurance claim against me! Poor customer service, I will avoid Alamo/National from now on unless they admit their mistake.

Pros: Friendly staff at pick up. Staff saved me money. Drop off was as easy as I could imagine. Car was well maintained, clean, and came with nice features.Cons: Not much. Car could have come with iPhone adapter for CarPlay but that would’ve been above and beyond.

Pros: NothingCons: When i booked the reservation i typed in AUS for Austin airport the first item that popped up was offsite. did not realize it was off site until the day off and on site was out of cars. ended up paying a lot more. Pros: Drop off in vegas was easy and staff was kind helpful.Cons: Pick up process in Austin was poor. Agent just said follow me. He walked around vehicle and then said i could go. He did not do a vehicle check with me meaning confirming there are no damages. Didnt tell me where keys were and did not ask if i had questions regarding vehicle functions. I had to go get him and ask where keys were. At that point the agent made me feel rushed and as if i was an inconvienence not a customer. I had to fingure out how to use lights, cruise control ect. I had never driven that car before so perhaps the agents should be mindful of that.

Pros: N/ACons: If I reserve a sub-compact or economy car, then that is what I want and expect --- and not to to be 'up-sized' to a bigger car - regardless of rate. Valuable vacation time was wasted on this issue. Honor the reservation !

Pros: Stuff was friendly, processing was quickCons: I made a reservation for Mitsubishi Mirage, but they made me take Chevy Spark. The Mirage has standard seating for 5 passengers; the Spark can only carry 4. The Mirage Hatchback has 3.2 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Spark. I am not going to use Enterprise car rental next time.

Cons: Had to switch the first car because it had not been serviced and needed an oil change. The second car ended up being low on wiper fluid. Staff was super nice and helpful in making the switch.

Cons: Prepared to be nickeled and dimed. Gas tank showing well above full, but they can squeeze a little more in? Charge. Return a few minutes late? Charge. All of course within the Terms and Conditions that you sign when you rent the car, but up to you if you want to do business with someone who is going to take every possible opportunity to squeeze every cent out of you as you can.

Pros: The car was clean and drop off was easyCons: I am active duty military on orders, I have rented cars thru numerous car rental agencies. When I arrived at budget they would not accept my military extension drivers license they said I could not drive the car!!! If I didn’t have my fiancé with me I would have been screwed. It was rude and they lack the ability to understand uniformed personnel extensions and the importance of accepting such extensions. I personally will never book with them again

Pros: Very nice drop off staff. Check-in guy wanted me take economy car since it was intermediate sold out; he did not offer me a discount for smaller car. I asked for intermediate or larger; he gave me a larger car. He was very polite though.Cons: See above.

Pros: They tricked at the counter, the attendant never told me I was going to be charged for an upgrade. When I received my final bill by email, I realized they charged me $30 for an "upgrade" that was never delivered or discussed at the counter.Cons: AS BAD AS IT COULD BE! The car was in terrible condition, ketchup on the door panel, plus had a disgusting juice spill all around the cupholders. Employees maybe we're waiting for a customer to clean up the car. The car had mirror lever is broken, head console buttons (SOS) where jammed/broken.

Pros: We ended up with a truck, albeit an impractical one, with decent features at a great price. Drop off experience was pleasant.Cons: Beware of their dealer’s / manager’s special. They’ll try and give you a diesel vehicle and lie at pickup to convince you to upgrade and/or tack on extras. Worst rental pickup experience I’ve ever had! Go with Fox if you need a low-budget rental.

Pros: Drop off was easy.Cons: Long wait at pick up. They didn’t have the compact SUV and instead suggested I take a pickup truck. I was worried about the size and they assured me it was “small or midsize.” It was giant. I could barely get out of the airport parking lot and it was difficult to park throughout my trip. The back window wouldn’t close.

Pros: The car was clean and reliable.Cons: I feel there is a scam going on with their gas policy. I declined their auto fill option which they marketed heavily to me. I filled up the tank a few minutes before dropping off the car, and on my car rental receipt they charged me $12.99 for 1.3 gallons of gas. They said it was full to 14 gallons at the time of rental and that I returned it with 12.7 gallons. I know that is not true, but of course I didn't save my gas receipt. I didn't have high hopes for getting my money back since I didn't save my receipt, but to my surprise when I called the representative offered to remove it immediately. He seemed all to familiar with my type of call. If I had to guess, I'd say this is a common practice for Payless and if you don't want to get cheated out of $12.99 you have to call and complain.

Pros: Very uncomplicated pick up and drop off! Friendly staff working efficient. We got an upgrade and were totally satisfied with our car! Excellent value for money!Cons: Counter was closed and we were sent to budget counter which was also closed. So all people were directed to Avis, which meant quite a bit of a queuing.

Pros: There was no staff available at the Payless at the Austin airport. Staff at the Austin airport was rude and clueless. It took 1.5 hrs for the Budget rental agency to find a car for me. Instead of promised Chrysler 200 or similar car, they offered a 10 seater van or a pickup truck. inappropriate optiCons: Never take any deal from Payless

Pros: I liked the car and the gas mileage for the economy. It was relatively clean and easy to return.Cons: It took over 2 hours to wait in the Hertz line and get a car. There was some old wrappers in the car so it could've had better cleaning.

Cons: I never got the car. When I arrived at the location, Hertz claimed (even though they had my name on their list) that they don’t work with Kayak/Priceline. They turned me away, and three people’s weekends were ruined. I will never trust Kayak again to actually be able to hold any reservation I make.

Pros: NothingCons: When we got off our plane, I called to get a ride for our car and was told that they had overbooked and had no cars. Even though I had prepaid, I couldn’t get a car. Dramatically changed our trip to Austin. They told me to call customer service, which was closed, so I couldn’t reach them until Monday.

Cons: Terrible customer service. Had a completely flat tire 6 miles away from pick up. Lost too much time waiting to get the tire fixed. Was told I would receive a discounted charge, instead I received additional charges. Tried several times to get this resolved. Horrible!

Pros: Absolutely!Cons: Seems counter productive to have your checkin counter closed due to Covid. Limiting staff. Then have people stand in line for an hour breathing each other's breath. Wouldn't it make more sense to move the people through as fast as possible to limit exposure?

Pros: The person who performed my rental transaction was very helpful. However, when I walked all the way to space 25 there was a different car in that spot. I had to schlep all of my bags back into the building and stand in line again. The counter person was apologetic and said someone must have put the wrong car in the slot. She reprinted the papers and even walked outside to give them to me. I liked the friendliness of the employee who checked in my car for return on 12/31. There was a wonderful woman in the security booth who checks cars out. I saw her again when I returned my rental on 12/31. But I don’t think she works for Thrifty.Cons: I am so fed up with Kayak and Thrifty car rental at Austin airport! I received an email confirming a cost of $184 +$79.52 taxes = $263.52 due at pickup. However, I was charged $300.36 at pickup and didn’t realize the discrepancy until an hour after I rented the car so immediately tried calling the airport counter, 512 530-6811, about 15 times but never got an answer, just a recording saying all employees are busy helping other customers. I tried calling Thrifty, 800 334-1705, but was told I have to go to counter to dispute charges. I am over an hour away from the Austin airport! On 12/30, I called Thrifty and after 19 minutes on hold, Anna told me I need to call the airport directly and gave me a number to call, 512 225-2815. When I called that number, a recording came on saying mailbox is full and it disconnected. I called back and was told by Lilah that I need to go to the airport counter. I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was placed on hold and music played while I waited, for approximately 30 minutes. Then the music stopped but I was still connected. (50 minutes). (I recorded the entire hour). I started recording the calls at 12:49pm. At 2:01pm I finally hung up. I got nowhere and apparently was still connected to Thrifty because the minutes on the line were still adding up, but there was no sound. Obviously it was pointless to continue on hold. By the way, the car I rented was possessed. There was an amber light next to the driver’s side window that flashed 80% of the time for no apparent reason. It was very distracting and annoying. Also, the bright beams would go on and off by themselves so drivers coming toward me and drivers in front of me probably thought I was intentionally flashing my bright lights at them. And when I intentionally turned on the brights, sometimes there was a delay so when I needed them they weren’t on, which is a serious safety issue. In addition, although it didn’t affect road visibility, one of the daytime headlights was burned out. Today, 12/31, I returned the car. Instead of going on my way after the agent handed me my all-clear receipt, I couldn’t just leave. I still needed to go to the counter. I had to schlep my bags a long way to get to the building and when I got there, the line was horrendous, with only two agents working. After waiting in line for 25-30 minutes, I was advised by Kim that I should have gone to the counter BEFORE I returned the car because now it was too late to do anything. WHAT??? So I’m still not done with this nightmare car rental. I will contact my credit card company and dispute the charges and I will attach a copy of my email with the quoted price and expose Thrifty’s fraudulent practices. I learned a valuable lesson. Don’t use Kayak or Thrifty ever again.

Pros: Drop off was very easy, car itself performed well.Cons: LIne to get car was extremely long. it was moved to hertz counter that had only 2 people working and at least 30 people in line. When we picked up the car it had a certified clean label on the door which was a joke. Dog hair everywhere in the car - stuck to steering wheel, etc. A bottle of CBD oil in the cupholder with dog hair stuck to it. Passenger side dashboard was filthy like someone put their dirty feet/shoes up on it. Clearly no one cleaned or wiped it down at all. if we weren't in a hurry and hadn't already stayed in line for an hour we would have rejected the car.

Pros: It was utterly disappointing to see that the reservation counter was closed at 11:00pm when I had the reservation to pick up at 11:00pm. on 9/4/20. I left multiple voice messages to the manager on duty but no one had a courtesy to call back ever! The reservation should NOT have been allowed to start with if the counter is closed at the time of pick up. Also, the local Thrifty airport contact phone number informs that the. counter is opened at the Austin Airport till Midnight!!. I had to spend another hundred dollars, come back again the next morning to pick up my rental vehicleCons: Provide compensation for the inconvenience and better communication on the reservation and the counter hours of operation and the availability of the cars

Pros: Everyone was nice and the process was easyCons: I made the reservation on line (the mother) using my credit card. The confirmation said the driver would have to present license and credit card at pick up (which was going to be my adult son). When we picked the car up we were not allowed to do this without paying extra to have him be the driver. We were told because the reservation was in my name I had to be the first driver. If the on-line reservation would have stated this we would have had him make the reservation. Seems like you could have been more accommodating at the pick up time. Not sure why it makes a difference whose name is on the reservation.

Cons: Associate took a break despite a long line forming leaving only one associate behind the counter with a very complicated customer service issue ongoing. Took over 30 minutes of standing “next in line”. Cost was very high compared to my original reservation with Thrifty.

But there was tape on the windshield from a sticker or sign, which I peeled off myself, and both the driver’s and passenger’s side windows were dirty

Pros: Staff spent over an hour with a family while 40 people were in line. One gentleman was keeping people moving where the woman at the other counter held everyone up. Pay before getting there or you will not have a car if your flight runs late. A family in front was upset because their flight ran late and they gave their car away.Cons: Service. Have more people on the counter. It is not fair to arrive from a flight and have to wait over an hour to be taken care of with the car. Have more cars available.

Prob will never use this rental agency again due to the car selections and the shape of vehicles. Many customers complaining about the same with their rentals at the time I was there!

Pros: The woman at the counter during pick up was pleasant but upselling dismayed me a bit. Drop off, didn't see a Fox employee. Cars were backed up almost the entrance of the return area. An employee could've alleviated that by providing direction to those who arrived before me to use both lanes.Cons: The counter in the airport was closed with a note to proceed to the pick up area on level 3. This information could've been part of the rental information emailed to me. The car was in poor shape with a spare tire affixed instead of the standard one. The form to list all of the issues was 4x6, when an 8.5x11 sheet would've been of more use.

Pros: Donna at pick up was unbelievable friendly and helpful.Cons: The car was ok but not great. A part surrounding the fog light fell off sometime during the trip; no accident or anything, it was just gone. In other ways the car was very basic and not high quality.

Pros: Clean car, at least on the inside. Easy return once I figured out where to go.Cons: Almost all the signs around the airport and parking garage listed directions toward all of the other rental car companies but did not list EZ Rent-a-Car, and the few ones that did were wrong. No one was at the EZ check-in desk. Scratches on car. Huge upcharges. Old car with no modern conveniences.

Overall Good experience, some confusionPros: The vehicle itself was excellent! I was given a free upgrade from what I had requested (compact) to a small SUV.Cons: Check-in was quite slow and rather confusing. The desk for E-Z was unmanned, and the screen behind the counter kept changing, so I couldn't even find the counter until the name of the company finally appeared. Then, there was a sign with print that was FAR TOO SMALL telling which counter to go to for service. I was third in line, and it was over 20 minutes before I got waited on...

Pros: The staff at the Dallas Love desk was very helpful after our flight was re-routed because of the ice storm.Cons: The Dollar rental customer support was unhelpful. We ended up spending over 4 times the planned amount because no one could “help” us. This was not a planned vacation that we had saved for, but rather an unplanned expense, we were going down to bring an ill family member home after they had a stroke on vacation. We were already on a tight budget and the car rental experience made at least part of the trip a nightmare. We were told the original deposit would be refunded but that has not happened so instead of spending under $200, we have spent over $400 and have two separate security holds of $200 each (we had to do 2 separate rentals, one day each in order to keep the bill under $500 not including holds)

Pros: The address on the paperwork for the drop-off in Dallas was wrong. When we got there, there was a sign saying "no rental drop-off". Then a bit further away was a smaller sign hung on a fence with the address of the Hertz drop-off. This caused a delay in dropping off the car, good thing we were not in a hurry

Pros: I had to cancel the trip due to Covid travel concerns but was not refunded the money which created an awful customer experience.......Cons: Have self-awareness as a company of what’s happening in the real world and be flexible when travel restrictions are posed on people due to covid and let corporate greed rule the day!

Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Car return was quick and simple. Loved that the rental facility is right at the airport, so no waiting for shuttles. Just walk directly from terminal to the car rental desk and then to the car.Cons: Didn't offer any bargains on upgrades or anything like that. And didn't let us know of the many toll roads in the area (like to/from airport) and what we were supposed to do if we drove them. Didn't explain what to do if the car had any scratches or damage before leaving the facility.

Cons: Everything was great except pick up at the Hertz counter. Took an hour in line. Only 1 worker for most of that hour, who took almost 25 minutes per person. I was 7th in line when I got there. Drop off was excellent.

Nice car but it left the lot low on washer fluid.Pros: It was a nice car. Staff was friendlyCons: The Washer fluid was low and so every 10 minutes a bell would chime signaling the fluid was low. Fluid levels should have been checked before the car was put out available to drive. It was extremely annoying to have that chime every 10 minutes. Had to walk a mile to get to the rental building and I am disabled. There should have been a golf cart or some way for people to get to the rental building besides walking. The signs where to return rental cars at the airport were horrible with the construction.

Pros: National in Austin went fairly well getting the vehicle. The representative went overboard in trying to get me to upgrade however and when I got to the garage, it didn't appear there were any slightly larger cars available. This left the impression I would have been in the exact same car.

Make sure it’s not a sub-contractorPros: Clean, new car in great condition. Drop-off was quick and easy.Cons: The rental was not with Europcar as advertised. It was in fact with Advantage rent a car who, I guess, sub-let cars. Pick up was slow (why do I have to provide all my personal details when booking if none of these are forwarded to the rental company??). Also, when I called to try to extend the hire by a few hours, I was quoted a price equivalent of more than a day’s rental.
