Pros: The manager Aaron was tryingoing his best to serve the customers.
Cons: Give the staff help, many cars were damaged and not able to be used. Severe customers had to wait for. Vars to be returned. I had the choice between a Ford Fiesta with no access, or a Mitsubishi with a cracked windshield, or another car with no registration sticker. Ridiculous that I paid for a safe, clean damage free vehicle, but get this choice, with no discount. I travel a lot but my days of using enterprise are likely over.

Awful Customer Service Rep at Enterprise
Cons: I recently traveled from Orlando, Florida to Columbus, OH. I approached the Enterprise airport location rental counter only to experience a cold, uncaring customer service rep. The gentleman was less than welcoming. Initially he was unable to find my reservation. When I showed him the printed confirmation sheet he looked at the paper and commented "well duh! I see your problem, your at the wrong location" I asked him him then if there was anyway I could get a rental from the Columbus Airport location. He glanced at his screen and said "No". Knowing that I had just arrived at the airport and that the other Enterprise locations were already closed, he showed no concern, no care and exhibited rude and unprofessional customer service. He exhibited no effort to help me. I told him thank your for his help, which was little to nothing in reality and said I would check with Hertz. He said ok and picked up his cell phone and began scrolling through what I could only imagine was Facebook or Tinder.
The Hertz customer service rep welcomed me warmly, obtained an upgraded vehicle from what my Enterprise rental would have been all at a lower price. Hertz was fast, efficient and exhibited professional customer service.
Based on my experience with your customer service rep at the Columbus, OH airport location I will never use Enterprise Rental again for any services. The clerk was rude and showed no concern for my issue nor did he try to rectify and correct the problem. I certainly hope he found a date on Tinder as he seemed more concern with his cell phone than keeping a customer.

Worst service ever

Cons: The rep was rude, apparently their prices have increased, and you no longer have the choice of selecting your own vehicle. If you want to switch to another vehicle in the same category, that will change the price of the rental agreement.

Good, Bad and Ugly
Pros: Desk agent at check-in was courteous and remembered me from previous visits. He had a lot of customers and handled them well, but wait time could have been streamlined if the people sitting in the staff room directly behind him had offered to help.
Cons: At return, there was just one man working. I asked for a receipt (as I have to turn in printed receipts for expenses and was hoping to drop in the MAIL before my international flight. He said he couldn't do it and walked off mumbling something. As i was unloading the car (I carry a lot of equipment with me when I travel) he returned, asked for my contract and wrote FULL on it (I had left the gas receipt on the dashboard). I told him the contract had "estimated cost" and was not acceptable to my employer, he instructed me to go to desk to get a printed copy. Keep in mind, I have A LOT of stuff, and I'm scurrying to make a 7:00 AM international flight. I am also the only one in the parking garage besides him at 5:00 AM. He made no offer to help me retrieve a carrier, to call the desk to have the receipt prepared, and was not carrying the typical handheld ticket printer every car rental company uses for return ease.
The woman at the desk asked me why I needed a receipt and had an unfriendly disposition about being bothered, as typing the information into the computer there seemed to be a deliberate method of slowly and angrily tapping the keys, then reading the screen with a pinched-up facial expression. She demanded a receipt (despite the gate agent's scribble that the tank was full) and then typed in a whole lot more information. Returning a car has never been so complicated, and as the lasting impression of Dollar, an unfortunate portrayal for the company.

Pros: Good customer service. Good price. Reliable vehicle....enjoyed driving the car. Once I found where the counter was and waiting in line a bit I was on my way.
Cons: Would have been helpful to have someone go over the vehicle with me. Just to check that there are a few scratches here or not. Would have been good to have someone make sure I know how to use the car, since options are located different places in different vehicles.

Pros: There was great customer service at the counter and the pick-up/drop-off was fast and hassle free.
Cons: I had a long trip and the car wasn't great on the highway. It was a bit too small and had terrible pick-up. I also paid twice as much as was listed on kayak.
Pros: Smooth sailing from reservation to turn in. A lady (actually acting in the role of receptionist) met me as I approached Alamo and made everything so simple. I was out of the lot and on the road in ten minutes.
Cons: Nothing. There was nothing not to like.

Excellent staff at Alamo CMH
Pros: The staff at this location, both behind the desk and in the garage where I picked up the car, were bizarrely nice for a car-rental place -- not just polite, but they joked with me and were truly friendly. It was confusing. I think maybe they didn't know car-rental places are supposed to be rude and deliberately unhelpful. Made my whole day.

Pros: Both the gate agent and the lot agent stayed late so the I could get a last-minute car to drive to my home, after weather had forced my flight to be redirected to columbus.
Their willingness to go above and beyond to stay after closing was much appreciated!!!
Cons: Cancelled my reservation since I didn't pick up within 1hr. window. Reservation made using West Coast time which they claimed was East Coast. Had to re-enter whole reservation. Busy so took nearly an hour. On return tried to overcharge me $190 for gas claiming empty tank. I had filled up <2miles from drop off. Attendant didn't know how to issue receipt. Had to wait till they found supervisor in office to find out how much they overcharged.

Pros: Did not agree to an "upgraded" SUV. I had been traveling for 24hrs, only looked at the bottom line of the total cost of my agreement and went on my way. When I returned the car almost 60 days later they pointed out I got an upgraded SUV and was charged almost $900 more. I have sent and email and waiting to see what they have to say.

Cons: A car rear-ended me. I had to wait two hours for a tow truck to come from Budget. When the tow truck came it broke down and I then had to wait another two hours. Budget refused to send me a new car. Never renting with them again.

Great ride, horrible service.
Pros: The ride in the car as great! Gas mileage a plus.
Cons: We run into problems at pick up and check out each time we use budget. The line is always long because the rep. seems to not know what they are doing or having side bar conversations. On top of that when we check out we always want to use another form of payment. Well, this time we wanted to split the payment between 2 cards. It took 10-15 min just for the rep to figure it out, after asking another rep. Then he swiped both cards and turns out they weren't even charged, the original credit card was charged, plus 2 other very higher pending charges that have not dropped yet as of today, he assured it was going to process correctly. It would be nice if budget was a lot smoother like Enterprise.

Pretty cheap and pretty fast
Pros: Got what I was expecting. Car return was quick and efficient at 5:30 am.
Cons: Rental agent accidentally charged me much higher price than in the reservation. He corrected his mistake when I pointed it out to him. Bringing a printout of the reservation was helpful.

Cons: Agent tried to talk me into bigger car, extras. Didn't tell me contract in brochure. Couldn't get out of garage not only held me up, but also the unfortunate cars behind me. The car only had 3/4 tank of gas, but I did return it full. Thought tacked on charges were a little high. Might want to inquire into those when making reservation.

Pros: The staff seemed great and were very friendly. They even offered to upgrade me at no cost.
Cons: Turns out it wasn't at no cost. When I returned the car, they charged me an extra $100 for a vehicle I didn't even want to begin with. I was told the car I wanted was buried in the back, so it would easier if I just took the nicer one.
Also, they have an 800% mark up on fuel. I get that it's always more if you don't fill up yourself, but when fuel is $1.50/gal and you're charging $9.80... maybe a little excessive

Cons: The original invoice the customer service woman gave me was over twice my quote from Kayak. Then her boss came out to fix it and said "This happens when you book through third party sites" and acted like it was a big hassle to fix my issue.
They did not provide clear instructions about the rental return process.

Pros: The customer service reps at both locations, South Windham, CT and Sullivant Ave in Columbus, OH, were extremely helpful and courteous. The car was clean and got me to where I needed to go.
Cons: I do not appreciate the fact that I was charged an additional day of rental. This is an error. I will be calling your corporate hq to have the erroneous charges removed from my account.

Easiest cleanest rental
Pros: They gave me a great car and it took maybe 3 minutes to pick up. Friendly staff great service great vehicle.
Cons: I called to change my reservation to pick it up about 7 hours before I originally wanted to and was told there would be no issue. I talked to 3 customer service people who were clueless and basically said I couldn't, or said the price would be totally different, before being connected to the guy behind the desk at the location I was picking up at. This guy understood what I wanted, made the change and charged me less than the others said I'd be paying! Train your customer service people to match your front desk people and you'll be much better off.

Cons: A 1/2 full soda bottle, empty bag from taco bell, gummy worms, and miscellaneous trash was in this vehicle. Windshield wiper blades needed replaced. Upholstery was filthy.

Pros: The Hyundai Elantra handled well and I received great gas mileage. We were also able to store all of our luggage in the spacious trunk.
Cons: There was some obvious cleaning needed of the steering wheel and the bottom center of the windshield was a haze where the cleaners never quite reach when cleaning. What irked me the most was I prepaid $9 per day for insurance only to find out that it didn't cover everything. I would have to pay another $7 per day for loss of use of vehicle coverage if it were in an accident. The $7 is a ripoff charge.

Won't Use Thrifty Again
Pros: Unlimited miles is about the only thing positive I have to say about this rental.
Cons: 1. The guy at the counter seemed more interested in flirting with the girl ahead of me than extending any real customer service.
2. There was a dent in the front fender which we did not see until we stopped 30 minutes down the road. I immediately took pictures with my phone and called Thrifty's 800 number to report this damage. The gentleman was nice and thanked me for reporting it. I wanted him to know I would not be held responsible for this damage and that no one at the pick up site ever inspected the car before we drove away.
3. When we returned the car I mentioned the damage to the guy at the drop off site and he said, "Yes, I saw that." I explained that it was there when we first got the car, that I took pictures and that I called Thrifty's headquarters to register the complaint. He said it was MY responsibility to inspect the car before taking it off the lot not the agent's! Seriously? I told him I would not be held responsible and he just looked at me with a stupid smile and said the company would be contacting me about the damage.
4. The car reeked of cigarette smoke so their "No smoking" policy obviously is a joke.

Cons: Well lets see...the fact that i had a reservation for the car and srove all the way to the airport early to pick it up and the counter was closed so hax to go up to the carport which is fine..then saw a line out the door walked up and was approached by a rude worker telling me to leave bc they were out of cars. The whole airport was out of cars on a tuesday. Then i asked what abt the people with reservations and told that they only had 6 cars left and it was firat come first serve. Why do i bother reserving then? Why wouldnt you take care of the people with reservations first?! Then give the other cars to the people who wwre walk ins. I asked this and the guy told me he just works there and they are told to give them out as people walk in reservation or not. So bc of this my girlfriend had no way of getting to Michigan the next day for her grandfathers funeral and was devestated. Thanks for nothing!

aggressively tacks on insurance
Pros: Car was nice, exactly as expected. Easy access at the airport.
Cons: When discussing insurance, they offered a false dichotomy of either maximum insurance or basic insurance. No insurance wasn't even mentioned as an option. I foolishly asked for the most basic option, thinking that would be without additional cost, only to find they had actually given me a basic insurance option and not no insurance. Ended up having to pay nearly double the estimate. In the future I will absolutely have to clarify exactly what they try to add on.
Pros: Rented an SUV for a family vacation. Excellent car, very clean, staff was excellent as always!

When I returned the car, the person was not even aware of what happened ans didnt even do anything to hear my complain. He just sent me to an office so I can complain. Terrible customer service
Cons: People at the counter were very rude and disrespectful. Originally told me I could use a debit card on file. Then that was denied once I arrived and tried to. Then swipe my credit card over and over saying it wouldn't read. Which locked the card out. I never got my rental. The attendants at the counter told me my brother could come out his credit card on file and use my reservation and I pay an additional 13.99 a day. Which I was fine with. Once my brother got there they said that they never said he could use my reservation and tried to charge double. I will never use Avis again

Cons: Picking up the car was an ordeal. Flight got in late at night and I stood at the counter for 20 minutes while someone typed in all my info by hand... then I had to go to another counter on another floor to actually get the car. Took way too long, especially when I easily could have completed all this online earlier.

Great deal, no troubles
Pros: I got a great deal through Kayak for a bigger size then I'd ever normally rent (standard) and was able to go from CMH to drop off at CLE which was really convenient and didn't get hit with exorbitant fees. I had a very early AM flight and the after hours drop off worked perfectly.
Cons: Really all went smoothly-nothing to complain about.
