I felt tricked. I thought I was booking to pick up the car from the Cincinnatti airport, but instead it was in downtown Cincinnatti. Very tricky and deceiptful on your end.

All the folks in Cincinnati were helpful and friendly which made this rental experience great!! Cars are cars, it's the people that make the difference.

It was the worst rental we have ever experienced. The vehicle was filthy (human and animal hair and it does not appear to have been washed on the outside either). The guy said there was not another car and they had a new person 'cleaning'. The key battery was dead and he told me they had replaced it and it would take a bit to re-set. Then I drove away and the oil change light came on. We went to another nearby Hertz location and did get the service we should have from the beginning. The downtown Cincinnati location should not even be in business.

Hertz in Cincinnati was great! Hertz in Chattanooga where I returned the vehicle was terrible. The lock box to return the key after hours was just completely open and anyone could have taken the keys. The gate to the parking lot was locked, and they were closed earlier than their posted hours online. I found a worker and was able to return my key to them, but they failed to document that it was returned and over a week later I still have the hold and additional charges being charged to my account and Hertz Corporate is having to contact them to confirm since they failed to close out the transaction properly.

One of the attendants at the enterprise office in Cincinnati turned me away saying he wouldn’t honor my reservation bc it was same day and an online reservation in addition inconvenient bc it’s one way. I was stranded. I’d taken an uber from the airport and it was close to end of day. Another attendant then helped me out and went out of his way to be supportive and got me a car. The first guy was a jerk just for the sake of it. No customer service capacity.

Was called and told car was not available and the systems do not update to demonstrate what actually is available. While the call was nice, the option was a different car or for me to drive 30 mins out of my way to another location to pick up the car I wanted - they were too short staffed to have a car brought to the location I needed, 2 days in advance. The car was not ready when I got to the other location, given it was new, there were still stickers on the windows which the representative took off after me asking and the gas was on empty. So the first thing I had to do was go fill the tank up. I feel this approach is intentional to benefit the car rental company because it's harder for the customer to gauge the fuel return vs just filling it back on full.

Passenger van

Never got the car that was reserved. Called a few days before to make sure the van was available and they said it wasn’t and that the district manager would call to make accommodations. Never received a call. Very disappointed.
