Pros: The return of the vehicle went smoothly. But pick up not so much. The hubcaps were coming off, it was park up against trees so when the guy who washes cars moved the car, he scratched it up pretty nicely.

Cons: I am very upset that when I booked my rental with Kayak.com, kayak offered an insurance policy with my booking that was not supported by Hertz. In the end I ended up paying KAYAK for an insurance policy, and then charged again by Hertz when I picked up my car for their insurance policy. Kayak should NOT offer these insurance packages that are NOT SUPPORTED by the rental car dealer to avoid double purchases in the future. This is an absolute rip off to me, and this is to Kayak.com not reflecting my great service provided by the very accommodating employees of Hertz. My experience with Hertz was great, kayak.com - not so much.

Hertz completely failed me
Cons: I made a reservation for July 1st, noon. I called at 11:45 because I was afraid I'd be a little late, asked them to hold the car. They said "we have a half hour grace period. But we do t have any cars right now." The last time I checked, a reservation meant that they WOULD have a car on the date and time that the reservation was for.
They said they would call me when they got cars. An hour later, I called back - no cars. I finally ended up renting from Budget rental car and paying through my nose for it. I'm a comedian and I was on tour and had to be in Lake Charles, LA for a show that night. Hertz NEVER called with a car, or ever called to apologize. I'll never use Hertz again if I can help it, this is the textbook definition of "piss-poor" service.

Pick up customer service was lackluster
Pros: Car was clean
Cons: Long hot walk to the car at the end of the lot. Customer service agent at pick up was more of a robot than a human being.
Pros: Staff was courteous and friendly both at pick up and drop off location. They had no problem looking up the reservation and keeping everything in line with what we reserved. The car was in very good condition and we had no problems over our 7 day rental. We will rent from here again!

Didn't get the car
Pros: They tried to fix my problem as best they could.
Cons: I reserved a Premium SUV "Chevy Tahoe or similar" vehicle. When I arrived they tried to give me a Nissan Pathfinder that sat 7. It wasn't "or similar". I initially tried to make it work but after I started to try to pack luggage in it and take into account the 7 people that would be riding in it I returned it. They accepted the return without any fuss and I ended up renting a minivan a couple of counters over. For about twice as much. The attendant told me that the vehicle I was supposed to have was kept an extra day by the previous renter and that there wasn't much she could do about it. I believe that to be true, but it didn't help my wallet any. They were nice and apologetic but couldn't help me at all.

Car not ready
Cons: The reservation was made for a 1:00pm pick up and when I got there I was told there were no cars available I had to wait 45 minutes and this might not seem like a lot to Dollar rental however when I had to drive to New Orleans and wasted time at the airport pacing waiting for the car when I could have been spending my last hour with my newborn grandson I found this very upsetting. This delay caused me to get to New Orleans airport with very little time as my flight was boarding I didn't even have time to refuel so I had that added expense just a total waste! Very unhappy.

Pros: The car and program was fine
Cons: The agent in Lafayette kept us quite a long time trying to sell upgrades and insurance. Due to this sales approach the other people ahead of us delayed us by close to an hour, which caused us to miss a function that we were supposed to attend. We arranged the car in advance in order to avoid delay in pick up because we knew time was short to get to our destination. Also the deposit of over $100 was not given as expected at car return because my husband left the keys in the car instead of bringing them to the desk, and we were asked to go to the gate instead of retrieving the keys. I can only hope that this will be corrected and our refund processed. Thank you. Everything else about the car was fine.

Nothing but trouble...
Pros: I didn't like any part of it!
Cons: The lady at the Dollar/Hertz rental was very rude! I didn't get the car I reserved and missed out on the entire Thanksgiving Holiday with my Father and sisters. I got charged $45.00 for insurance that I didn't get to use! I am beyond pissed off!
Pros: Enterprise staff could not have been more helpful. Our return flight was cancelled due to snow, so we had to return the car to New Orleans rather than Lafayette. They changed the return and did not charge a one-way fee. Great car, excellent service, no nickel-and-dimeing. That's a winning combination.

Enterprise did not have the van in its fleet.
Pros: I made the reservation to only have to cancel it cause Enterprise did not have the van I requested. They did not help me much for my inconivince.

Pros: Because my flight was late they had to move my reservation to the airport branch instead of the off the airport branch and I ended up having to pay about $50 more bucks. The counter clerk was nice, he tried to get me some discounts. But their drop off location is in a weird lot that has you walk through the side of the airport and there is no one there to hand the keys to. So you go to the same counter you got the car from and of course they ask what your mileage was, like I know?

Pros: Service was great. The staff were pleasant and quick to take care of me when I walked in.
Cons: Windshield was dirty and wipers were worn. I had to stop at gas station to clean. Smelled like smoke.

I am most baffled.....read on....
Pros: I thought I loved the price. But actually I have no idea what the cost will be. I was supposed to get an email from Enterprise. I was supposed to get a phone call from the office I rented from in Lafayette, LA. I got neither.
Cons: The awful communications process. The unfulfilled promises.

Pros: Courteous agent
Cons: Enterprise only had one car to offer me for one-way. This 2016 Corolla with 23k miles was disgustingly dirty inside (upholstery, dash, windows) and smelled of pets and cigarettes. Under no condition should this car should not be in their rental fleet!
Pros: I experienced total loss with the flood in Louisiana, including 2 cars. Insurance is moving along incredibly slowly and apparently there was not rental included in our coverage. Therefore, I have to pay for everything myself. As a Realtor, a care us essential! While I will eventually be able to write it on taxes as a business expense I STILL have to pay for it. Not sure why no one seems to get that part!
The affordability of the car and it's overall good condition is the KEY to my survival as a mom if busy children and an REALTOR trying to provide for my family.

Cons: Upon arriving at the Alamo counterat Lafayette regional there was a sign that said 'no cars available'. I waited for the clerk to surface thinking since I had a reservation they would have one left. She told me that all cars were gone. I asked her what the purpose of. Reservation was if there was. no car upon my arrival. She said I could take a cab and request reimbursement I then had to rent a Ford Focus for $63/ per day from a competitor
Cons: I booked a Suburban or similar. Was called the day before and was asked if a mini van would be ok. I said yes. When we got there we got a Cheverolet Traverse. Not at all big enough for the people and luggage we had. Very disappointed!

Dirty car- scratches all over - needed brake job and 40k miles.
Pros: Not much of anything about the rental.
Cons: Car was dirty in inside. Scratches all over outside of car. Brakes made noise because of a needed brake job, and the car had 40k miles on it.
Worse rental I had in years.

Pros: I really liked Neshanda (maybe I misspelled her name). Very helpful. Helped me get another vehicle since the mini van I reserved was not there.
Cons: I hate not getting the vehicle I reserved on line. You showed a mini van but that is not what I got. Why do you ALWAYS bait and switch? I do not think I have ever gotten the exact vehicle I have reserved. Why?????
