The girl in Lafayette where I rented the car was extremely nice. The Hertz people in Nashvlle when dropping the car off were extremely RUDE. The car was ok not super comfortable but ok. The rAtes are outrageous. Also, I paI’d ahead for the car with a major credit card. You guy putting another $200 hold on my acct for days is unacceptable. I had already paid for the car. Ridiculous and I don’t like being told that AFTER I’ve already rented the car. I have insurance. No reason to do that.
Terrible experience. We did not get our car. Will never go through Kayak again.

Car wasn't available when I arrived. Didn't have to wait long but the car cleaning was obviously rushed. Car was in good shape and ran well. Employees were friendly and knowledgeable.

I have a major card— visa! After waiting my turn for a long period of time the rental facility (I did the pre-check in), I misunderstood that this visa debit would not work at the particular location and other locations accepting debit near me had closed though I could not have know this beforehand. I entered my card info at the time of booking days in advance so I should have know this was a problem. I ended up cancelling the reservation and this seriously impeded plans. The wording in emails is not consistently explaining “only major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc) no debit cards at this location. This card must be in the renters name.” Suggestion: There seems to be toggles and filters for so many things, how about the payment method?

There were entire categories of vehicles on the website which were not in stock at this location.
I received a phone call 2 hours before my reservation advising me that there would not be a car available. The person on the phone said they were expecting a truck in 4 hours but didn’t want to promise anything. Also said I should call back later when she was off. I called at 5:45pm to get an update. Was left on hold for 21 minutes and then hung up on. I drove over there and saw at least 10 cars in the C slots. Once I got to the counter, there was no one there and they said “it was first come first served” When I pointed out that I WAS FIRST - my reservation was an hour earlier and no one else was there, all of a sudden there was a car available.

They were overbooked and people waited in line for hours for customers to return cars. I waited for a couple of hours then left because I could no longer wait. I did not get a car because I had to finish preparing for my vacation. Terrible experience and I could not believe I was at a Avis rental place. Very poor customer service.

Well I was unable to get the car because of the resident rules for being from Louisiana. I was unable to use the card I reserved the vehicle with but they held my deposit and rental fees until Monday to be returned.
