Cons: The rental location was unexpectedly closed (Naples Central Station in Italy) and we couldn't get the car we booked or any other. At the last minute, we had to rent from another company and pay a premium. Stressful and bad experience!

Good car, poor rental agency location
Pros: The car was clean and worked fine. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: This agency is NOT at the airport. We had to take a taxi for 20 Euro to get the car, which took another 30 minutes, and then pay 14 Euro extra to be able to drop it off at the airport, which significantly increased the overall cost of the car. Very disappointed that this agency was presented as being at the airport.
Pros: The people did a quick check on the vehicle and processed the return quickly.
Cons: We left a very important item (an heirloom glass jar filled with sand) in the center console of the vehicle and when we called the drop-off location they were very rude about helping us find the item. Then we called back and they still were not helpful. It seems they did not look through the vehicle thoroughly and we have still not been able to recover the item.
Cons: Being charged 300€ + 90€ processing fee?! For a 2cm scratch the car had a much bigger scratch when we picked it up and the door would not close properly. So Europcar is not spending the funds it receives to repair their vehicles. And a clearly arbitrary system of damage fees.
Cons: First, the cars Hertz has at this location seemed abused, old and dirty. All cars were filthy. Seems they buy used old cars for their fleet. The shuttle was filthy, smelly and vents pumping stinky air on passengers.
