9.6 Excellent
Pros: It is expensive to stay in El Chalten compared to other towns we visit in patagonia. This place was the least expensive but still nice place we found. You can hear the neighbors quit well so bring earplugs, but again this is quit common wherever you stay in Patagonia. We would recommend this place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely clean and high standard room, located at the calm end of El Chaltén‘s main street. We were able to do washing for a reasonable price. The owners gave us the good advice to take a transport towards the northern path up to Mount Fitz Roy to see more than when going up and back the same, regular path. Was well worth the money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Claudia is the star here. Very hospitable and sincere. She immediately began providing us with tips on the trails and what we can do based on weather conditions. Room is CLEAN and spacious. Water is HOT, which is great after getting soaked on a hike. Breakfast is sufficient, could use some eggs but it’s good for getting your day started. Very sad to leave and hope to return.
Cons: Our stay was great. Weather wasn’t but that’s the only thing Claudia couldn’t help us with :)

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Cristina was wonderful and So knowledgable about the area. The hostel itself was in a great location, had a great breakfast and would absolutely return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a warm, cosy, friendly, home away from home. We enjoyed our 5 nights here. Lina and Augustina were fabulous, great hiking and restaurant advice, and the breakfasts were delicious. Vegemite for the Aussies and an avocado for the vegan one morning! The beds are really comfortable and there’s a good hot shower - both very important after a long day hiking.
Cons: There’s nothing I didn’t like! But a couple of extra hooks on the walls would be great (to hang jackets etc) as there is not a lot of space.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is nice. The rooms are nice looking, if cramped. The breakfast was good. It was very clean.
Cons: There is no noise buffering. My room was on the second floor and I could hear every word of conversation in the kitchen area downstairs, even with the door closed. I had a hard time sleeping because someone in the next room was snoring and it was very loud in my room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great central location, nice welcome during the check-in with some very helpful tips on the hikes and restaurants, comfortable bed/room, delicious breakfast
Cons: If you are a light sleeper you might be woken up if sleeping in the downstairs room. As it is an older building you can hear other guests walking up the stairs and in their rooms.

Cons: Nothing really.

Pros: The owner was nice with very good tips. She even moved the breakfast for us so we could eat earlier becouse we had a bus. The room was nicly decorated
Cons: The room was at the first floor, next to the reception and the common area. It was noisy. When ever people talked it felt like their inside our room. The breakfast was poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpfull hosts, delicious breakfast and tea during the day, Hiking Sticks availible, great location
Cons: Rooms are a bit small

Pros: We loved the hospitality and the location of this charming hotel. We were also very impressed with the delicious meals served on premises. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Heaven on earth even in the rain ! Food was excellent and prices very reasonable. The staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. Located alongside a major trail in Parque Las Glaciares.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We greatly enjoyed spending two full days here in the middle of the mountains. The popular day hike to Campamento Poincenot and (if you're ambitious) Laguna de Los Tres starts outside the door, and we could see the famous peaks each morning from our window. Another day we did a different hike that starts about 1 km further down the road. Since it's an isolated spot, we relied on the Hosteria for our meals, which were wonderful. Breakfasts are included, packed lunches are available, and for dinner you can choose from a menu of several delicious items. Our room and the common areas were very pleasant and were great for relaxing after a strenuous day. The proprietors were unfailingly helpful and gave us all the advice we needed on trekking options. If you don't want to rent a car, you can take a bus from El Calafate to El Chalten (we used Lengas) and then continue on route 23 (it becomes a gravel road at that point) by taxi to the Hosteria. Also after your trek to Poincenot, for variety you can hike downhill into the town and then take a taxi back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic and the people are even nicer! We were well taken care of and the view is surreal.

Pros: The location was great. The breakfast was excellent, and accommodates gluten free diets. Natalia was very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Fantastic hotel. My fiance and I had bungalow. It was like a small apartment with separate entrance. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was excellent. When the sky cleared up in the evening, we could see Fitz Roy range
Cons: It was bit too hot in the room. There were not many options to get the heating down. The only option was to switch it off or keep it medium, which kept the room very hot. We ha to open the window both nights to be able to sleep.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved Anita, she was very friendly and helpful and speaks perfect English. She had maps ready to go and let us check in early and out late. Location was perfect and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Cons: A bit expensive for a nice simple room with basic facilities.

Cons: Minor maintenance and repair while we were there but no issues. Liked it and would return.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff was very accommodating, responsive and friendly in regards to a late arrival and checking in. The shower had great pressure and was warm. Other than that, this property is overpriced. Might be better off at a hostel
Cons: This property is not good if you’re trying to get a good night sleep before trekking. Very comparable to a motel rather than a hotel in the states. Cons: Unfortunately, one of our rooms had a very unpleasant odor and the other room had a very small window. The wifi was also pretty terrible. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel hasn't been reopened yet for summer season. We were offered to stay at Destino Sur, higher level hotel of the same group (at the same price!). Then, my very good iopinion is related to that hotel. But if you stay at Hotel Poincenot, please consider to have dinner at Destino Sur restaurant: it's very, very good! A modern interpretation of fantastic Argentine cooking.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Got awake very early because the hotel girls made the other rooms very loudly
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was ideal and hotel was very clean.
Cons: Breakfast was really basic, no water or coffee making facilities in the room and for what we paid per night you would expect this as a minimum requirement.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Maria Belen who works the front desk was very helpful and friendly. My sister and I visited several hotels in South America over a period of three weeks and thought Maria provided the best advice and was the most welcoming out of all of the hotel staff we met on our trip.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice place. Great time. Clean property well managed and with great staff in the front desk and breakfast and restaurant.
My pillow was covered in a dirty looking dark substance when I went to lay down. Luckily, there was another bed in our room and I could easily switch them out.

Pros: We loved Anita, she was very friendly and helpful and speaks perfect English. She had maps ready to go and let us check in early and out late. Location was perfect and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Cons: A bit expensive for a nice simple room with basic facilities.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anita's house is perfectly located in the center of town, within easy walking distance of groceries, restaurants and trail heads. The facilities are very good. And, to top it off, Anita and Leo are two of the best hosts that I've ever met while traveling.

Pros: Sweet little house. Family atmosphere. Thanks to Anita that we don’t need to visit info center to finish all our trekking. Kitchen facilities are complete for preparing a fast hot meal.
Cons: Maybe add more racks in the bathroom for hanging towels and clothes.
