I booked a room with 2 beds and the staff had given away our confirmed room when we checked in. We had to stay in a single bed and neither of us slept well due to that. I have a confirmed 2 bed room. Abs it was not assigned to us. We were very unsatisfied with this.

Cons: I did not feel like KAYAK adequately represented the pet fee charge at the Hyatt House. KAYAK lists "pet friendly" as if it is an amenity, like cable tv, breakfast, or a swimming pool. We choose to stay at the Hyatt House based on them being pet friendly. Little did we know that we were going to be charged $75 for having our pet with us during our stay. Upon review this information was available at the Hyatt House website, however it was not included in the KAYAK description. KAYAK would be better serving its customers by including this information. Thanks

Pros: We were exhausted from a cross-country trip bringing our son to college and were so grateful to find the beautiful Hyatt House Fishkill. It's very conveniently located off the freeway, close to shops and restaurants and is so comfortable and fresh. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had and the staff was so friendly and helpful. This is our new go-to hotel on road trips to visit our son!

Pros: loved the staff extremely friendly and helpful and the location was next to or not far away from everything you could need if you forgot to pack something. Rooms were very clean and the carpet was sticky as the one we stayed in just outside of atlantic city awhile back and the views of the mountains especially during sunrise and sunset was extremely beautiful.
Cons: didn't like the strong order of chlorine when you enter the hotel's lobby, barely any space to sit and eat your breakfast, towels were very rough against the skin, price was really high and tiny bathroom

Cons: An indoor pool would have made this a 5 star rating. It was a bit of a drive from the colleges in Poughkeepsie, but not tooooo bad for the value and great hotel. I didn't bother to wake up early for the complimentary breakfast since the receptionist said it consisted of coffee and cookies.

Pros: The staff were all truly exceptional. I could not have been more impressed with how pleasant, helpful, and friendly they all were. The room was fairly typical of hotels of that level. I do like that the bathroom sink is outside of the tub/shower, toilet area. That is where a small fridge is located too.
Cons: The only downsides I can think of are pretty inconsequential. The TV is situated so that it can viewed from the sofa, but not from the bed. There is no breakfast included and the prices are fairly steep. I had a container with yogurt in it a couple of tablespoons of cut up strawberries and about the same amount of granola -- probably less than a couple of tablespoons actually. That and a small cup of coffee was over $8.

Pros: The close proximity to the freeway was excellent for travel to different points of interest, including Beacon for their Main Street. The room with two queen beds was very spacious. The whirlpool/hot tub was heated very comfortably for the winter sesason.
Cons: The pool wasn't heated (something particular for the winter) and there were ants crawling around the whirlpool. .

Cons: Everything The room had a mystery wet section of carpet. It was so damp it was like staying in a basement. Carpet dirty shower curtain torn lampshades torn- this was the room they switched us to. The first reeked of cigarettes despite the large no smoking. There was no manager on the oremises. We only stayed 1 of our 3 nights and moved to the Hiktin Garden Inn across the street which was lovely

Cons: I booked this hotel OL & received a confirmation #. When I arrived at the hotel, they did NOT have a room available & said they were overbooked. It took literally an hour for the receptionist to finally stop punching keys in the computer to fully admit to not having a room for me (which wasted more of my time in locating something available.) There should be better communication between the OL sites offering rooms and the hotels themselves so customers are NOT caught in the middle. I don't know that I have even received the credit for the amount billed to my credit card yet. : (

Cons: This is an outdated Inn with poor beds and sheets. Cleanliness is so-so. With so many options nearby, we suggest you chose one of them. Everything definitely needs upgrading. Although, the A/C worked. But, then again, you get what you pay for. Can't beat $65 a night for just a place to lay your head after attending parties all weekend.

Cons: Hallways and the single elevator reeked of smoke. We booked a king bed, but were given a room with two doubles. Front desk said they had nothing else available, and that the particular room we were given showed up in their systems as being a king-bed. Poor sound proofing -- could hear neighbors and people in the hallway very clearly in the early morning. Seems like a hotel that pours all its money into the event facilities (entrance, lobby, and conference rooms all very nice) but dedicates very little funds toward the actual rooms themselves.

Cons: THERE WAS FRESH BLOOD ON THE SHEETS AND MATTRESS PAD OF ONE OF THE BEDS IN MY ROOM. HOUSEKEEPING WAS VERY GOOD ABOUT IT BUT IT NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. THERE WERE NO BATH TOWELS AVAILABLE FOR 2 OUT OF THE 3 DAYS I WAS THERE. POOL CLOSED AT 8:00 AND WE WERE TOLD IT WAS DUE TO NO POOL LIGHTS, IT STAYS LIGHT OUT UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 9:00. WE WERE IN TOWN FOR A SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE FOR THE KIDS TO BE ABLE TO USE THE POOL WHEN WE GOT BACK TO THE HOTEL. OUTSIDE DOORS SHOULD BE LOCKED AT ALL TIMES FOR SECURITY PURPOSES AND ALMOST NONE OF THEM LOCKED.

Cons: Worst service ever! Reserved a room with king & sofa bed, but got no sofa bed. Manager was very rude! Had to sleep 3 adults in 1 bed. No fresh towels for next day. Upon return to room, had to ask twice and took two hrs til we could take a shower with clean towels. WIFI did not work! Breakfast eggs & sausage ice cold. All dining tables dirty and no clean silverware and it was only 6:30. Very very disappointed!!!

Cons: The bathtub felt weird... as if there was a memory foam-like substance below the floor. Huge lack of power outlets (only two usable by guests... and some plugs won't stick, so enjoy using a laptop, which chargers usually have two prongs and not three.)
