Pros: The property is very clean and very quiet and peaceful. In the morning, you can view the trees and surroundings from your terrace and from the lobby. Its very beautiful. The staff are very nice as well. Theyre very warm. They provide shuttle service to nearby restaurant and onsen for free. It feels like home here. Pros: The B&B is one of the best B&Bs that I have ever seen. Their warm welcome is very impressive. Facilities, equipment, and breakfast is very nice and professional. My three kids enjoy staying there. The location is convenient and closed to ski prince hotel. They also provided pick up and drop off to ski resort, famous Onsen and restaurant nearby. We will definitely come back to see them again. :-)

(They offer western style too but we didn’t try those) Large room with deck Japanese bathroom with high tech toilet and automatic bath tub Wooded neighborhood—great for bird watching Walking distance from Hoshino Onsen and bird park Walking distance to restaurants The best thing about this B&B were the owners. Their hospitality was amazing. They will pick you up at the train station, they will help you with restaurant suggestions/reservations, and even provide other shuttle service.

Pros: New, Nice and clean hotel. Staff can speak English very well. Although the Breakfast dinging room is not large, we never have to wait in line for the queue. The hotel's breakfast have varieties of food; both Japanese and western style for you to choose. There are some restaurants nearby the hotel; sushi, Shabu Shabu and a kind of Izakaya restaurant (with English menu and staff can speak English a bit); in walking distance. Opposite the hotel, there is a convenience store that also sell daily product there. We got Strawberries and some sashimi from there. For those who like to walk, you could walk to the Old town Karuizawa shopping street. But as we are traveling with kids and seniors, we rent a car and park there. The hotel also have plenty of parking space for hotel guest; there are 3 parking areas around the hotel. The room we stayed has 2 beds and a tatami area that can fit 2 people; total 4 people.
Cons: One of the parking lot at the hotel is a bit small for a van (Alphard), but we managed to park there without any accident. The road in front of the hotel is very dark at night. And the hotel will be locked down at almost midnight so we have to prepare some snack before lock down time.

Pros: We had a restful stay in a beautiful hotel, the wonderful and attentive staff made us feel at home. Great location along the main street, yet quiet. Just walk out and there are quaint shops, cafes and superb restaurants. The hotel offered us use of their onsen facilities even after checkout, as we had a late flight to catch. That was very kind. Karuizawa is a most pleasant highland town with much greenery. Shop, discover Japanese and European cuisines, hike around or just chill out!
Cons: The outdoor onsen suffered from a bit of noise from the surroundings. The indoor onsen is cosy with good water.

Pros: Nice old fashioned room with plenty of space. Was good to have windows which opened so we could have fresh air ventilation rather than AC. Located about halfway between the Station and the tourist shopping Ginza. Staff very helpful. The driver of the shuttle to the station gave us his umbrella when he realised we didn’t have one. One staff member spoke excellent English.

Cons: Hope you can be more flexible to extend a bit more time for checking out if the rooms are not fully booked. Families with kids will usually need more time to prepare... I requested for just half an hr late check out and was told that it will be chargeable. In most hotels, they will usually allow free late check out so long the rooms are not fully booked.

Cons: The hotel is too much proud of its old history. We did not get money’s worth for the room and the food. We dined in a Japanese restaurant in the hotel. The food was poor in quality and quantity. The breakfast costs at ¥3,500 for a small plain omelet with 2 pieces of sausages. It’s more than a joke. Beds in the room were old and had no sense of comforts. We had a terrible experience.

Pros: The owners were amazing! Steve was so kind! He and I communicated often, before my friend and I stayed at his hotel. He picked us up from the train station. He warmed up our late dinner that we bought from the store too. He prepared the jacuzzi/private onsen bath, so my friend and I could use it; at short notice! Breakfast the following morning was so good. Loved the french toast! Our room was clean and nice. He even made a map for us, to help us with our sightseeing the next day! I personally loved the Hawaiian theme of the hotel. Steve informed us that winter is off-season in Karuizawa. But if I'm ever in Karuizawa again, I will definitely stay in his hotel! I would love to come back in Autumn. I highly recommend his hotel. He is really welcoming to foreigners.

Pros: We arrived by car, and the location was very convenient to find, even in the dark. The place was very quiet and peaceful, a little ways off the main road. Breakfast of french toast was delicious, cooked by Steven and his wife, both very friendly and inviting people. They were so helpful in their recommendations of places to see, along with clear instructions of how to get there. Will definitely go back if in Karuizawa! :))))

Pros: Steven and his wife are great hosts! We got to them during the typhoon and immediately suggested is an early check in at 10 AM! They took great care of us during our short stay and even texted us the day after to suggest alternative ways to get to our destination. Pros: The staffs are so friendly and kind. Shuttle car are available to pick you up from the station to the hotel, and vice versa. They also provide a shuttle to/from the ski resort and to/from the shopping outlet. The room is so big and clean, the breakfast is good even though they dont have many varieties to choose, overall I'm so satisfied with everything.

Cons: This hotel is NOT family friendly at all. Lobby at 2nd floor and stairs only. No elevator, no escalator, no door man who can help you to bring up your stroller. Even staffs are not baby friendly
