Ise Guest House Kazami - Ise - Building
1
9.0 Excellent (385 reviews)
S$ 99+
Overview Reviews
Located in Ise, Ise Guest House Kazamiso is in the historical district, a 3-minute drive from Komyoji Temple and 10 minutes from Ise-Shima National Park. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm atmosphere with travelers coming and going. I loved the natural wood structure and furniture design. Nice to have a tree inside the building. Friendly and helpful staff, felt very welcome and comfortable. I found everything that I needed for a short stay in Ise. Pictures correspond to what you actually get.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: A very comfortable and relaxing hostel. Very much a family friendly atmosphere.
7.0 Good
Pros: Ise guesthouse Kazami is conveniently located next to the train station. It is clean and cozy inside and I liked the pay-as-you-eat bread loaf for breakfast which were delicious. Be aware that late check-in will be charged extra (and is quite expensive per 15min extra) and that the common area shuts down at 11pm.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, decoration, luggage storage, big private room
Cons: Reception starts at 16.00
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the room was very comfortable
Cons: Noting in particularly
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The architecture of the place is original, you can meet people while sharing a meal. You can buy nice breakfast breads in the morning. The staff is very welcoming and full of good advise.
Cons: Our private room near the kitchen was not very isolated from the sound of the kitchen... but nothing awfull
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice! I loved the aesthetic treehouse design of the place! The host was also very friendly and chill, and his English is alright.
Cons: None
7.0 Good
Pros: The wooden structure is nice. Surely nice if you sleep in the dormitory. Very central location.
Cons: Maybe it was because prices during new year are higher in Ise but I found the price for what you get quite steep. We still had to rent towels separately and put on sheets ourselves (would expect that for a dorm price but not for a 140$ private room). Our room was directly on street level and directed to street, so very noisey.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything, the house is very nice from inside. The staff is super helpful and kind. The bedroom was clean and it even had a humidifier. I couldn't hear so much noise so that was also great. It is walking distance from the station. I would definitely come back.
Cons: The only inconvenience is that to go to the toilet when you are staying in the ground floor, you need to go inside the house. It is not so much of a problem but if you are warm and go inside for the toilet you may feel cold.
Hinode Ryokan - Ise - Building

8.9 Excellent (438 reviews)
S$ 161+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at HINODERYOKAN in Ise, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Ise Grand Shrine and Sun Arena. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms in Japanese style Comfortable futon, air conditioning and heater The building is a a ryokan since the late 40’s They made some wheelchair accessible rooms which is uncommon in old buildings Great breakfast Nice common bath
Cons: Since the building is old there is no noise insolation You might hear your neighbors brushing teeth in the corridor or crows fighting outside, but that’s how it should be in such an old building!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious rooms with authentic interior. Very good location right next to the station. Very nice onsen. Delicious breakfast. English-speaking staff. Washing machines + detergent can be used for free. Clean, comfortable. Overall A+. Perfect complimentary stay to the beautiful city of Ise.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything is quite nice, the hotel is like a museum. The best thing is there’s washing machine and dryer which help us big time.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is right around the corner from Iseshi Station and is an easy walk to shops and restaurants on Geku-mae and the Geku shrine complex. While it *is* possible to walk all the way to the Naiku shrines, there is convenient bus service from Iseshi station. The staff speaks English and the service was friendly and hospitable. My traditional room was spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable. A full Japanese breakfast can be ordered and served in your room and it was a feast: rice, salmon, pickles, vegetables, salads and miso soup, plus tea.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. Excellent location.
Cons: Nothing of note.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Located near of the JR Station and very big room. However, we could not have a bath in the morning because it finishes at 9 am :(
Cons: The timetable of the bath. At 9am finishes the bath and you cannot enjoy this pleasure :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: excellent service, cozy and spacious room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful kind staff and a classic ryokan experience. A wonderful family run bed and breakfast. Great location and good price.

Overview Reviews
Located in Ise, Isegekusando Iseshinsen is within a 15-minute drive of Ise Grand Shrine and Sun Arena.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room size was great, and the private bath was lovely!
Cons: Got the impression at check in that it was problematic to be the one to receive foreign guests, or that it was an unwanted task to be given.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and cleanliness - 1 minute from JR Ise-shi station and about 10 min straight walk to Ise-Jingu Geku; private hot tub outside of the room; fantastic breakfast; spacious and comfortable room; comfortable lobby - complimentary drinks and sweets were available; amenities including skin lotions, shampoo & conditioner, choose-your-own room wear (yukata), pajamas, socks for the yukata, toothbrush, wash rug, tea & coffee, etc.
Cons: None. I was completely satisfied with the service and facility.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an excellent ryokan-style hotel which also has western-style rooms. The restaurant (kaiseki style) is very good, with interesting menus for each of the tow nights I stayed (including Ise lobster, which is celebrated in Japan). The location is ideal, as the hotel is directly opposite Iseshi JR station and close to the Geku shrine with the bus stop for Naiku shirine (10 minutes' ride) in front of the station.
7.1 Good
Pros: Delicious dinner and breakfast, close to train station.
Cons: There was dust on the headboard.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location, good food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Luxury and comfortable hotel to stay. Staffs are very nice and ready to help. The French restaurant is a plus, must have a try!

Cons: The private onset was great but otherwise the room was ordinary and very mediocre.

Located 500 metres from Kintetsu Iseshi Train Station, Hoshidekan Ryokan (a member of the Japanese Inn Group) is a wooden building that was built in the 1920's and provides Japanese-style rooms with free WiFi, an LCD TV and traditional futon bedding. It has shared bath and a courtyard garden. Rooms at Hoshidekan have paper screens, a tatami (woven-straw) floor and a low wooden table. An air conditioner, slippers and green tea are provided. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. The Geku Ise Shrine is a 18-minute walk from the hotel. On-site parking is free and requires a reservation. The hotel has baths that can be reserved for private use, and a free-use internet station is provided at the lobby. A coin launderette is available. Guests staying with a meal plan will be served Japanese breakfast in the dining room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staffs were nice and polite, helpful. The atmosphere is nice and traditional. Onsen is good.
Cons: One of the shower was not hot enough, the stream of the other one was a bit small. The pot in the room is small, couldn’t find hot water during night if not want to disturb the staff. The floor was creaky when people was passing by in the corridor due to the wooden structure. Not to complain but for light sleepers better consider it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: An authentic ryokan experience. Lovely old house. Very pretty and nice Japanese breakfast in a Traditional setting. Staff were friendly and helpful and we rented bikes from them to cycle to the Ise shrine.
Cons: The beds are traditional style with futon on the floor. We didn’t find this comfortable but that’s because we are used to western beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice to stay there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Traditional Japanese style room is very nice. Restaurant and Family mart is nearby.
Cons: none

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Saiounomiya in Ise, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Ise Grand Shrine and Miyagawa Tsutsumi Park. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful property and the rooms are large and well appointed. Our room was very comfortable and the deck with spa was a real benefit. The surrounding area was wooded and quiet. The staff was gracious and attentive and the breakfast was very good. A free shuttle left and returned to the property on a reasonable schedule.
Cons: The location is a bit remote, so it was necessary to take the shuttle to the railway station or major attractions, something I considered well compensated for by the quiet wooded property. The TV periodically activated automatically and spoke of the services offered by the hotel--this occurred about 4-5 times a day. Although we speak enough Japanese to get by, others who have no Japanese language skills may struggle a bit to communicate with the staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse is an old typical japanese house, full of charm. Tomomi-san and Misato-san are both really dedicated to their guests. I really enjoy my stay here. Too bad I've only booked here for 1 day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host: very decent wooden home. Very local.
6.7 Good
Pros: The House was very beautiful, the other guests were sweet and very sociable.
Cons: The host was very weird, made me feel uncomfortable and not welcome at all. Felt like a beggar invading her home instead of like a paying customer. Sadly, the host was very „present“, being happy with a selected few, which made things even weirder. Was happy to change my accommodation after one day. The other place actually was the exact opposite, so: Thank you for being weird and distances, you made me run into the right direction.
7.0 Good
Pros: Although the hostel itself is very small, it is very cozy with the nice smell of the wooden house. You can feel the traditional Japanese vibe here.
Cons: The female dorm is very small. It is a bit hard to climb down from the upper bed. Also, they only have two shower rooms in the house.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy wonderful atmosphere. Charming decorations.
Cons: A little uncertain of the safety of some wiring and electrical stuff but otherwise perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was close to the station. Staff was friendly and guest house was authentically japanese.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located and very friendly greetings from the owner, who speaks perfect English. She gave us plenty of good tips. I really recommend this place.
Cons: Maybe a slightly bigger kitchen, but that's a minor point.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: If you want a lovely warm house experience this is the place. Lovely host who has redone a traditional house mainly by herself. It warm and cosy. There were other Japanese guests and we gathered in the living room and chatted for an hour! With Google translate. Warm, funny, lots of laughter. A fantastic experience! There was also home made pudding that was made by the staff for the guests. The place has a cute folksy vibe. And it really was heart warming!

Cons: A bit expensive for this type of hotel, breakfast not included in the room price

Pros: The room may be small but it is very cosy and comfortable for 1-2 people. Within the vicinity, there are a lot of options for the guest such as the supermarket, Daiso, baskin robins and more. Breakfast comes in buffet style and has many options for different preferences. Staffs are very friendly and willing to help out should you have any queries or worries. There are public baths for both genders separately to wash up and soak for relaxing time. The whole hotel gives up a very luxurious vibe even though its a smaller sized hotel.
