10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in a quiet street at the end of Jerez's main shopping street, the hotel is build on the medieval moorish town wall. Our room faced one of the most beautiful plazas in Jerez, with two ancient palaces. The rooms are airy, luminous, and modern. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a hotel set in a lovely old building, really well located. I had read a few negative reviews about the breakfast but we thought the breakfast was good. The orange juice was fresh, the toasted bread brought to the table was warm and really nice. There were nice Spanish pates including one similar to sobrasada. The Spanish meats were nice and varied every day. Tea and coffee is brought to the table and you can ask for top ups if you want. I can only think negative reviews were from people expecting British cooked breakfasts whereas this is a Spanish hotel. The waiters at breakfast were both very pleasant but we particularly liked the younger one on our first morning as he encouraged me to try to speak Spanish which I am learning at the moment. Bathroom was nice and it was lovely to have a whirlpool bath as well as the shower over. Overall we thought it good value for money and we would certainly return
Cons: Sadly our room was very dark, the lighting didn't make much difference, it wasn't helped by the dark wooden furniture and dark leather. It also had a platform which wasn't distinguished with anything from the main floor which I found difficult with my eyesight. The whole hotel was cold during our stay - great for summer but not in winter Although our room had aircon it didn't warm it very well and was too noisy to have on at night Although there are seating areas scattered around there isn't really anywhere cosy enough to sit to have a drink and although there is a bar in the restaurant it didn't feel comfortable enough to use.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Ordinary
Cons: Lighting in bedroom rather dim
7.0 Good
Pros: The central situation is great for walking in the town and accessing restaurants and shops. The availability of private parking is also good but accessing the parking area and leaving it through the pedestrian centre of the town is extremely difficult. There was a big bathroom with plenty of space. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The room was narrow and it was quite hard to get round the bed to reach the bathroom. The lighting was poor and the furniture was very dated with sharp corners. WiFi was weak in places. Breakfast was basic with not particularly good quality food or drink.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location, general appearance and decoration.
Cons: In the bedroom the bedside lamps were not independent of one another. The bathroom was rather shabby, shower wet the floor, and in need of renovation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A great central location for visiting the city. Quiet and comfortable room with character
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Fried eggs would have been nice.
Cons: There was no view from the room.

Pros: Very clean, great location- easy to walk everywhere. Beautiful terrace on the upper floor. Comfortable bed. Welcome drink on arrival was nice.
Cons: Heater thermostat in the room didn’t work properly (was always too hot so we left it off). Staff were varied- some very friendly and helpful, some not.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and cleanliness were great. Didn’t have breakfast as it was much cheaper to use an authentic local cafe. Loved the relaxed and welcome feel of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Slip resistant bathroom. The tiles were lovely but not practical when stepping from the shower to the floor.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and the kitchen staff were excellent-most helpful at all times.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.Location is excellent, central but very quiet-it is a short walk into the centre. The staff were most helpful at all times. Good value for money. There is a pleasant square outside the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is located in the center of Jerez. The hotel is an old house which is now the hotel itself. My room was clean and very spacious. On top of the building there is a beautiful terrace with a view on the city.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Elegant hotel. Warm welcome on arrival. Great roof terrace overlooking square. 5 minute walk to town centre and restaurants. Good variety of local foods at breakfast. We booked 2 rooms, one standard and one superior- worth paying extra for the superior room, overlooking the square.
Cons: Standard room had no external window and bed was much smaller than our king size at home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning small hotel overlooking a very Spanish plaza. Quiet but close to all sites and town centre. Staff were kind and very helpful. One of my favourite places
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, room, location
Cons: Noisy motor outside the room you Ng and n and off
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an elegant, small hotel about half-way between the railway station and the city centre. We were made very welcome and shown to our room by the friendly receptionist who had upgraded us. The hotel is based in an old building with interesting features and a delightful terrace where we enjoyed the winter sun. We were given a Welcome drink which we took in the small bar. Breakfast was excellent - a wide range of savoury and sweet items (some homemade) were offered together with some hot options. Drinks included freshly squeezed orange juice.
B&b La Fonda Barranco - Jerez de la Frontera - Bedroom

8.8 Excellent (350 reviews)
S$ 107+
Overview Reviews

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff couldn't have been more helpful when a medical problem affected my partner, travel, translating (I only speak english), packed lunches, extending my stay, nothing was too much trouble at this excellent establishment.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Central location, friendly staff, parking option (13€/night), lovely roof terrasse
Cons: Thin walls: you hear every single word spoken outside. Second wall to floor can be closed but not shut so that the room is not dark. -- Be aware: Streets in old town are crazy small!!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully refurbished merchants house. Good and nicely decorated rooms. Great location short walk from most restaurants and main sites and easy walk to train station. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Breakfast on the terrace is great.
Cons: Little natural light ie room had no outward facing windows. Set up is similar to a Riad in that rooms face into the middle of the building with shuttered windows. I panicked about noise initially as you can hear people talking downstairs and in the main areas. This was fine though as most guests are respectful and keep noise to a minimum. Apartments at top of building are probably the best if you really value your privacy and noise issues if you’re there for a longer stay. Didn’t like not having tea and coffee making in the room and having to ask for this and paying extra for a cup of tea.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and breakfast was all great.
Cons: Would have liked a room with a bath but the shower was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy and stylish private hotel. Located in the old town, 5 minutes from the fortress and the cathedral. We were kindly welcomed with a glass of sherry and it was appropriate after a long trip and encouraged us. Breakfast on the open terrace with a panoramic view of the city roofs was very tasty. We regretted that we didn't stay in Jerez for a longer time, because there is a lot of interesting things there, and the hotel enjoys a leisurely rest.
Cons: We liked everything, perhaps surprise surroundings at the beginning. The hotel in the historic city, the surrounding buildings are half abandoned. The first impression is strange. But in 10 minutes this place is already pleasant. Everything is very clean, quiet and safe.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a buffet style on the roof terrace. Coffee, fruit and fruit juice. Toast, preserves, cheese , cereal, Views of the sun rising over the cathedral roof.
Cons: Needed more time to explore the surroundings.
Overview Reviews
The 4-star Barceló Jerez Montecastillo & Convention Center is part of the Barceló Montecastillo Golf & Sports Resort. Its location is ideal for a pleasant stay near the motor racing circuit, just 10 minutes from the airport and city of Jerez.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent
Cons: Only stayed on night so I didn’t have enough time to explore more things , time at hotel really good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed and large bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities.
Cons: Room too hot so had to sleep with window wide open. No milk to put in the tea. All manageable but the worst thing was the food. It was really poor. The hot food wasn’t hot but cold and the food cooked as ready to eat was never cooked properly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a feast. Beautiful setting.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place, the room and the facilities.
Cons: The staff could have been more friendly
7.9 Good
Pros: - Very good service at the restaurant - Competitive prices - Confy bed, mattres was really nice - Good breakfast
Cons: - To use the spa you need to change buildings - Bathroom could use a renovation. Shower tap was about to fall off and there was some smell coming from the piping - No sockets by the bed to charge devices, all of them on the other side of the room

9.0 Excellent
Pros: inexpensive lodging in a fabulous city
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location, close to the centre of Jerez & train station. Friendly staff.
7.0 Good
Pros: Its in the old part of town, so narrow streets with no onsite parking, all limited to street spots - if you can find one. Eventually found a spot a bit of a walk away, but the man on reception pointed out that all local parking was restricted and suggested we should check in case it was towed away or we might be fined. He suggested where we might find space and fortunately moved it in time - appreciated his advice. Room was comfortable if basic. Good bathroom. Check Google maps before going !
Cons: A little confusing, 2 entrances but only 1 manned, at least when we visited. Very limited local parking, all on street and very busy so had to park overnight quite some distance away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, nice location. The room is clean and comfortable. 10 out of 10 value for money
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent considering what we paid for 2 nights we only used the room too sleep and shower (fantastic shower ) very central staff excellent , typically spanish thats what i liked , pleasantly surprised, would definitely stay again . Ive stayed in a few hotels in JEREZ and paid a lot more , and never received the welcoming hospitality we got here we will be back
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent with excellent restaurants and all Jerez's attractions close by. The accommodation was clean and comfortable although basic it was good value. The train and bus stations were within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Jerez.
Cons: Nothing very good budget accommodation in Jerez
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hostal owner/recepcionist is amazingly nice and helpful. And the wine is good of course.
Cons: The city of Jerez wasn't what we expected. The centre is very small, the bars are nice but a bit commercial. Outside the centre it gets kinda grim quickly.
3.2 Mediocre
Pros: Nice lobby and approach.
Cons: Awful bed. Backpacker standard. We;ve found alternative accomodation in Jerez, which in comparison is luxuary and only a couple of euros more.

Pros: Comfortable room, excellent breakfast choice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value in the city centre. Polite staff. Good buffet breakfast.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The reception staff were very helpful with all enquiries. The staff were always cheerful. The cleaning staff were excellent.
Cons: The whole of the hotel was very tired and needs a thorough update. The lighting in the bedrooms was very poor it was hard to see inside the wardrobes and drawers. The mirror over the table was too high when sitting at the desk. There was not a comfortable chair in the room for reading. The bathroom was very tired. The hot water took too long to reach a good temperature.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: fantastic staff, could not be more helpfull
Cons: breakfast wasnt the best
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and efficient staff, an excellent breakfast buffet and a nice quiet location. Everything went smoothly.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is lovely and well situated for the nightlife of the city. The Hotel was having some renovation work done so had workmen around but we got the impression they were trying to keep the disruption and sound to a minimum so it didn't impact on our stay. The facilities were excellent and everything was very clean. The Balcony overlooked the pool area and was a really nice view. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you were looking for a luxury stay that had good facilities and friendly staff that is close to the nightlife of the city.
Cons: There was no kettle or tea/coffee facilities in the room when we arrived and we had to ask for them to be sent up. A bit annoying - no big drama, but when you have been travelling all day (as we did) then it's just nice to be able to have a cup of tea/coffee on arrival.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the building and its history and location, the staff made me feel very welcome.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent as always. The new Patio de Las Naranjas restaurant is very attractive, good food and super-friendly staff. The breakfast waiter said 'hasta la proxima' to us when we left, and I am sure we shall be back at some point.
Cons: A small quibble - the television shows French and German programmes but not British, eg BBC or Sky. The only English language programme is Bloomberg which is an American channel mostly dealing with financial matters which do not interest me.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are very clean and modern and the staff are friendly. Great location and the bar restaurant is a nice new addition.
Cons: Gym needs new kit, the treadmill is not suitable and the kit is not commercial grade and poor quality. Some shredded wheat and weetabix would be a good start and fresh juice not from a concentrate machine!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff, beautiful hotel, lovely spa.
Cons: Spa was 10 Euros extra to use, but it was very quiet and peaceful perhaps because it isn't included in the price!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, comfortable room, well equipped. Very quiet close to the historic centre of Jerez.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was really nice, as well as the room. The pillow was just OK, for me it was enough but for a couple there should be a bigger one. The location is excellent but there is an Irish pub just opposite the hotel.
Cons: There was so much noise that I could barely sleep. My room was #16 and it is so close to the reception that you can perfectly hear people in and out. It is also located on the ground floor with windows facing the street, so you can also here people getting out of the nearby Irish pub (overdrunk and speaking loud)
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable beds. Good location in Jerez, walking distance to downtown.
Cons: Seems recently renovated, yet already showing signs of wear and tear.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice building and acceptable location.
Cons: Shower not great and horrible wifi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent 10 minutes walk from the centre, the room was quiet comfortable, clean and pleasant . Good choice , will come back again.
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the location as it was close to the centre, I liked the parking and the exterior of the building
Cons: I didn’t like that to access the spa you have to bring your own flip-flops and towel. When we were there, every shop nearby was closed, so we couldn’t access even if we wanted to.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly atmosphere, very good information on how to get around in the city. The fact that there is a great parking place is key. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The complimentary products for personal care were excellent and the ones in the room (coffee etc.) were of high quality. The drink water was in Tetra pack bricks (no plastic), hence a very environmental conscious hotel.
Cons: The reduced time that the SPA is open.

Cons: Rooms could do with upgrade.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money, characterful
Cons: Bit noisy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Moorish tiles and wall decoration in our room.
Cons: Thicker curtains to block out outside street lights would be good. Street noise was a nuisance; no the hotel's fault but I'd have asked for a different room in advance had I known it overlooked the street.
7.0 Good
Pros: The close proximity to the centre. Perfect location and stay for me as a lone female traveller. Very clean and friendly excellent value for money.
Cons: Noisy of a night time but a good excuse to go out and enjoy the local bars

Pros: The facilities are new. Room is clean and everything is fine.
Cons: The furnitures are new and have smell from paint.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed in a nice room. Plenty of hanging space for clothes. Laundry service which was both prompt and cheap. Central location with very helpful staff.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Cute, very clean, nice room storage and the wrap around balcony made the room extra special.
Cons: The breakfast was a joke and quite terrible for €7 each, especially considering there was a local cafeteria serving breakfast ATTACHED to the hotel serving better items at a quarter of the price. Totally ridiculous that they have a rip-off breakfast area that they push on tourists.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location, decent sized rooms and parking.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very comfortable hotel in a great location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The facilities are new. Room is clean and everything is fine.
Cons: The furnitures are new and have smell from paint.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed in a nice room. Plenty of hanging space for clothes. Laundry service which was both prompt and cheap. Central location with very helpful staff.
Cons: The toilet cistern constantly dribbled (noise) and the shower screen didn't hold the shower contents from escaping the confines of the bath. Noisy when people were going to or coming from their rooms (room doors slamming).
Cons: Rooms could be cleaner and parking free of charge for hotel customers. Pillows were not very comfortable either, also no fresh bread / pastry were available at breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, modern decor
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big room with balcony. Parking in the basement is very convenient. Walking distance to the cathedral and Alcazar. Great shower. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit chaotic but the fresh orange juice was great once you got the hang of the juicer. TV only had Spanish language channels.

7.7 Good
Pros: Location was great, hotel itself was well maintained.
Cons: Staff wasn’t overly friendly.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Poor a/c, but working well. Poor shower, waste of money and bad to use; very small room, seems leas than m2 said; bad stop and unloading facilities. Far away parking and no value parking.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location. Very centric
Cons: The air conditioning didn’t work. The windows don’t isolate properly so you can hear all the noise in the street. I had to kill a cockroach near the door The cover from the toilet ventilator fell off the ceiling... They told me breakfast was included and they realized afterwards it was a mistake and I had to pay extra for it
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful hotel in a great location. We booked the Victoria Suite. Definitely recommend that room.
Cons: The air conditioner did not work. No matter the temperature setting it blew not warm, but hot air. We turned the air off and had to open both doors in order to cool the room down to make it bearable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Best possible value for money. Great Location, walking distance from city center. Clean room with very good shower. Public car parking nearby (in the street in front of the hotel or around the hotel)
Cons: The room was at the ground floor with window directly facing the street. So it would not be possible to open the tend without being seen from outside
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff and location were very good, as expected.
Cons: Facilities, amenities and hotel in general are out of date. Definetly not up to a 4 star hotel rating. Mainly everything was old and not properly maintained. Looks like owners are not willing to invest in keeping it looking nice. Bathroom design was awkward and uncomfortable. Showers had too much water pressure and unable to regulate.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay for a night if flying from the airport and want to explore Jerez. Taxi fare from the airport was 17 Euros.
Cons: No good place nearby for breakfast, we had coffees just along the street and bought pastries from the bakers which opened at 8am.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money, perfect for 1 night stay
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Although it is a plan for staying overnight, the price is cheap anyway. I'm working in motorsport, but I'm just going to sleep at midnight so I'm not dissatisfied.
Cons: I don't know if there is heating or not. When asked, it seems that the remote control needs to be received at the front desk. The surrounding parking lot is easy to fill.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location. Spacious room. Balcony. Air conditioning.
Cons: At first, we were given a room without windows, which was claustrophobic, but after a short conversation, the staff agreed to move us to another room.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing. Two single beds in both rooms even after ordering twin-beds. Not possible to move beds closer. Some old (possibly uncleaned) blankets.
Cons: Room was not clean - stains on floor. bathroom was in desperate need for renovation - broken sink - muld in tiles that was tried to be 'patched' with adding more silicone on top of it. Noisy and smelled someone had been smoking there.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money, a very large and comfortable room
