9.6 Excellent
Pros: The stunning location, the attention to detail with everything; the staff, the food, the service, the layout and the amenities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful and in a very tranquil location. Loved the service, cleanliness, the arquitecture, the room views, the attention to detail ( ear plugs..) the comfort of the rooms, the daily yoga, spa, the ayurvedic dr ( who attenuated my back sprain) the food/ cheff, the complementary well organized trail walk!!! Loved the hotel , i will definitely return and stay longer. I felt so nurtured and felt more like a guest than a client.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place. Great yoga lessons (the instructor was so nice and proffesional). Perfect food and the best service! Very quiet and peaceful hotel.
Cons: The location is very far and the road is very bad.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We simply loved Santani. Beautiful nature as well as design, amazing view from the mountain view chalet, fantastic food and perfect hospitality. Santani is a great place to hide from the every-day stress. Yoga classes, great spa, treatments, and nature walks are available, and three meals per day are provided, so you can simply stay here for a couple of days without the necessity of organizing / thinking about anything. Each and every member of the staff was nice, helpful and professional, so thanks again for everything. We hope we will have a chance to return.
Cons: As the resort is located in the middle of the forest, and have natural ventilation (they are never fully closed), be prepared that smaller lizards and insects might get into the room. This was not a problem for us, especially that there are not too many mosquitos around and net is provided anyway.
7.5 Good
Pros: The architecture is beautiful.
Cons: The location was 3-5 hours from everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best resort and the view is just breathtaking
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Huge bed lovely views, great staff. Pool looked lovely but didn’t use personally as rained heavily the night we arrived

7.9 Good
Pros: We stayed here due to the hotels location and what a location it is! Nestled on the side of a hill with jungle and tea plantations surrounding this place offered us peace and nature after a hectic stay in Kandy. Roshan was a superb host - he was so friendly, helpful and welcoming + his rice and curry was amazing! He has a huge amount of experience and is a real asset to this place. As other reviewers have mentioned the facilities are dated. Still the bed was extremely comfortable and the pool was lovely. We did a days trekking in the Knuckles which was incredible (find Nipuna Knuckles Trekking) Roshan also suggested a lovely walk up the hill from the hotel through jungle and tea estates leading to more incredible views. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to visit again!
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, great staff, roshan was very helpful, nice food, great environment, the way to hotel was very beautiful (through a small forest), great caring, punctuality of the staff, our room had the mountain view, clean room, highly recommended for all
Cons: Nothing
4.2 Okay
Pros: 4 years ago it was a nice average place, reasonably clean with normal friendly staff. The 3 boys running this place seemingly can`t cope. They admitted that this place is for Sri Lankans who come to relax and celebrate, not for foreign tourists.
Cons: dirty
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nice location
Cons: Very poor housekeeping, customer service is very poor

10.0 Excellent
Pros: - The view from this hotel is spectacular. - Staff will do anything to help you - and a particular shout goes to the restaurant waiters who prided themselves on remembering the things you like and dislike. - The warm and friendly welcome - featuring a welcome drink and lighting of a traditional oil lamp - beautiful room with a spectacular view (and an amazing shower) - incredible food - peace and tranquility
Cons: - it’s a little out of the way but it’s a small price to pay to wake up to that view -breakfast isn’t quick - but that’s ok if your objective is to relax in beautiful surroundings
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views and location. Very friendly and helpful staff especially Rizni on the front desk who looked after us well. Food was amazing especially the Sri Lankan curry. It is not near Kandy as you will see on other reviews but the tuktuk ride to town is great fun and we loved being out of town for the tranquility. Would recommend the Ayurvedic neck and back massage. I had a guy give mine whose name I forget but it was superb.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The panoramic view over the mountains and the hotel design/flair... just excellent. I wished to spend more time. The hotel staff was very kind and polite, gave us a few interesting trip insiders. I really liked the hotel concept and every km is worth to ride there. Your (private) driver may get complementary accommodation and meals too.
Cons: Very difficult to reach out from kandy. It is almost on the top of the mountain. There are 2 ways to reach out there. Please make sure you ask the hotel in advance otherwise you may choose the wrong way given by google maps and the quality of the surface just extend the ride time. I really wish someone from the managers and above will welcome us or at least meet and greet standard level offering. For such small gems it should be a must :-) The water slide is not properly maintained. It’s not “painless” to slide.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel to relax after a day in Kandy. The view are breathtaking, so be ready for a bit of ride from the city center. Kids loved the pool area! The manager and other stuff members are very kind and polite. Food in the restaurant is very good, especially rice and curry dish.
Cons: Service in the restaurant could be a bit faster- waiting time for breakfast is about 30min.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was the best we had in 10 days Sri Lanka so far. The room was big, tidy and clean. And a late night jacuzzi made the stay complete.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff were excellent, particularly front of house and catering, sadly let down by one of the managers, Priyantha, who disappeared off-site without addressing the issue of no hot water for 24 hours. Would have been a 9+ but for this experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a magic place in the top of the mountain which worth seeing!!! As we came to this place we forgot all the tiredness of a long trip from Hikkaduva to Kendy. We dropped into a jungles atmosphere, took a jacuzzi in the garden with a glass of champagne and a wonderful view from the top of the mountain, enjoyed the song of the birds, watched eagles flying and humming birds. Then it was a delicious Shrilanca style dinner. In the morning we had massage in the auverdic garden and a nice breakfast. One day in this wonderful place is ever to remember. I would like to say some special words to a manager of the hotel Mr. Pradeep Weerasinghe. He was all the time day and night in the hotel and made our staying unforgettable, very positive and helpful person. I would strongly recommend this hotel for staying as the most romantic and beautiful place I have ever seen!
Cons: A road to the hotel was a bit unusual for the foreigner but we treated it like an adventure with a beautiful sightseeing on the way and a Paradice place at the end.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is lovely and very relaxing

Pros: Beautiful place, very peaceful with amazing views - especially in the morning. I definitely will be back. Its a little bit away from Kandy - about 30 min with tuktuk, but much peaceful than busy and polluted town... the food was also tasty, I went for Sri Lankan for all of my dishes and they were excellent. Good job everyone

Pros: Felt like home as the people made the place homeyyyy!!!! They’re all amazing people and they treated us like family!! Wonderful experience at this place and we highly recommend this place, it comes with million dollar view!!!!
Cons: Wish it could be extremely clean!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great water pressure! The showers were lovely. Nice hot tub and swimming pool, lovely views.
Cons: The food isn’t that great, it’s ok but definitely not what we call “fine dining”
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely feel about The Albatross and sense of calm after busy congested Kandy.. The Albatross has an intimate and friendly feeling - it really is like a club house. The view down to the golf course, across the valley, onto the dam and all the way Knuckle Ranges in sensational. Incredible at 5am and in the evening. The pool was great and the activities in the area wonderful. Tilek and the team were extremely warm and attentive without being overbearing. The cocktails were excellent! We will be back!

Pros: Everything excellent
Cons: The location is a bit hard to be gotten
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The folks at Albatross were extremely welcoming and friendly. The meals were swerved at the times I requested and the food was excellent, especially the Sri Lankan curries. I cannot say enough positives about the staff.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: LOVED the fine architectural details, the design, the style is so unique, unlike any other “hotel” experience, this place is a rare find, irs more of a resort than a hotel. LOVED the Ayurvedic treatments— far and away the best massage I’ve EVER had! Staff was incredible—the tour of the property was such a nice added touch.
Cons: The hammock—I fell off of it. And That I had to leave
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Come to the Samadhi Centre for relaxation, immersion in nature, and comfortable accommodation in rustic mud houses on grounds created by a hobby architect who salvages amazing objects and incorporated them into a former tea estate. It's a 50-min taxi/tuktuk there (there is also a bus from Kandy). The staff are local, dedicated, and genuine. The food is Sri Lankan and delicious (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The Ayurvedic treatment is authentic and of incredible value. Their riverside chaise lounges and pavilions provide lots of opportunities for sunning, reading, and idling. There is also a waterfall nearby with a refreshing swimming hole.
Cons: Because of the isolation, the only place to eat is Kandy Samadhicentre itself. While the food is delicious, it costs extra (unless you buy a package I guess). It would be better to include food in the price (at least breakfast and dinner). The costs for meals are three times the price in local restaurants and guesthouses, which is hard to swallow when you are used to paying so little in town. The yoga instructor was also local and very knowledgeable, although she held back her class and instruction for beginners. If you are intermediate or advanced, keep in mind you might be getting a simplified version for the sake of others. Classes are also twice the price what I spent at a hotel in Ella, for example. Maybe there is a better, package deal on offer, but I booked "a la carte." I didn't elect for more daily 07:30 classes after the first one because of that. However, one can practice on their own in their wonderful space (mats provided) because it's not used outside the 07:30-09:00 yoga session (at time of writing).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything: the food, accommodation, surroundings, helpful staff and ayurvedic massage. I only stayed one night and I hope to come back for longer. Very relaxing place.
7.5 Good
Pros: The place is in the middle of the countryside and it's fantastic for you too get out from the main hustle of the touristic places and get in touch with nature. The surroundings of the center were very good - you have the feeling of disconnection with the outside world very quickly :)
Cons: We were in Samadhi in the beg of low season so we felt that most of the things there were not running 100% as they should - which is also normal...but that gave us the feeling of not enjoying the place as much as we wanted... The food could also have been better (specially for the price you pay.... significant above average and the only option there - you can't find any other options close by).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most amazing place i have ever stayed and believe me i have travelled a lot. Its not only the location and the decor and the whole scenery that is like a dream its also the energy of the place of the owener and of the staff. A place to get lost from everythind and discover your inner self
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the absolute highlight of my time in Sri Lanka. I really hadn't expected such a special place - I was so sad to leave! The staff were genuinely welcoming, so helpful and easy going, the food was exceptional, the rooms beautiful and I met many lovely people. Morning yoga on the terrace was incredible. They also arranged a guided walk to a nearby waterfall on one of the days. The whole place is so peaceful and secluded, I'd love to go back one day.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Awesome!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We spent 2 night at Samadhi Centre and had a wonderful time. The place is amazing (old colonial-style furniture), the staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was the best we had in SrinLanka. Just wished that we stayed a bit longer! We didnt have time to have a yoga class, but the ayurveda treatment is a must-try! We hope to come back soon! Thank u for this unique experience!
Cons: Nothing really but just wished we checked their website before booking, as you cant see all their type of rooms/pavilions in here.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It is a hidden gem! The room was bigger than I expected (even the budget room), with antique decoration and comfy bed. It has forest path to walk around, including small river to dip or read. There are also waterfalls nearby that you can go with the staff. Very friendly staffs and the owner, Waruna also great that took his time to talked with the guests. And try the Ayuverda treatment as well, massage was very oily :D but amazing, love it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I love this place - it was like a community that was far away from hustle and bustle of city. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Also I felt some community feeling with other guests. I stayed alone but had an opportunities to talk to other guests at meal times. Staff were very thoughtful about the seating arrangement, and I met nice people during the stay and had a good conversation. Food served was super good. I only stayed for 2 nights but was offered different breakfast and dinner menu each day. Both were Sri Lankan dishes and tasted so good. Probably, eating in the area that was surrounded by the nature also contributed to the taste. Some guests staying for longer period were receiving Ayurvedic treatment so they were offered special meal arranged for each of them - I might want to try it next time. The room I stayed had simple facility with a private bathroom in separate room. All rooms at the property were situated with sufficient space in between, so each guest can have some private. The property has resident dogs and cats, they were very well trained and friendly. 1 of the cats even stayed overnight in my room. Ayurvedic massage was also great, it was 1 of the best messages had so far, I hoped I could stay longer to try different type of massage / treatment - maybe next time! All the experience at the property was very positive, including morning yoga sessions. Staying in the nature, doing nothing, reading a book, having a nap, and walking around the area... even for the short period of stay, it made me feel very relaxed and gave a lot of energy. Thank you very much for the hospitality and providing me a great experience.
Cons: Nothing... Just it was so sad to leave the place, but I will definitely go back!

5.0 Okay
Pros: Excellent Staff behavior they are constantly trying to make us comfortable
Cons: Their page in booking providing non accurate information. They have to clarify the exact situation of the hotel ( real tent, isolated place, no wifi / Tv , sounds of nature “sounds of bugs at night”, it’s good for meditation and isolation)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. It was a magical resort.
Cons: Was lovely actually. Nothing to not like. Maybe the approach to the place (road) could be improved for better access. But I suppose that would do away with rustic charm of it's inaccessibility.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The location and the decor.
Cons: My room had only luke warm water.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: pretty much perfect. position and view. Wow the view! Staff were brilliant! Food was great. Pool brilliant as well. what a brilliant memory we now have!
Cons: there so nothing that i disliked. apart from the walk up steep paths for dinner! But seeing as you're in the mountains - what did i expect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Not even 24hrs is what it took to truly disconnect. The location, hiking and sunrises will be remembered for a very long time as well as the massages!

Pros: The very professional staff even helped us, when our driver unexpectedly left us. Nice food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely breathtaking scenery, delicious food for dinner and breakfast! Stagg extremely welcoming and kind.

Pros: Property is gorgeous and people/service was wonderful - understated and pampering. Food was delicious.
Cons: Very expensive but it was worth it for a unique splurge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What’s not to love? After a long hot day the staff were welcoming, the pool was inviting, dinner was excellent and our room with private en-suite was luxurious. And at breakfast, just when I thought my stay couldn’t get any better, there was the best coffee I have had in Sri Lanka.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms, delicious food, whisper quiet air conditioning. Charlie looked after us brilliantly, we met a great staff member and left with a good friend. His service was nothing short of fantastic!

Pros: The staff was very nice, service good, we got a free room upgrade, swimmingpool was nice, restaurant was good. Liked everything!
Cons: It was quite expensive but it was worth it!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent room with great view - food was great
Cons: Just a little isolated but wouldn’t get the views otherwise
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed with my sister at Theva for 4 nights in August and have to leave a review to say what a fabulous hotel this is (pool, rooms, location, facilities). What makes it stand out, however, is the exceptional service provided by all staff, who were extremely welcoming, approachable and helpful during our stay, and really go out their way to take care of guests. We were able to organise day trips, tuk tuks, transfers through reception, which was helpful, especially as Kandy centre is a 10 minute tuk tuk drive down the hill. Breakfast was great, and they offer a variety of choices if you are around for lunch or dinner. The room was very well maintained and cleaned daily, with an evening service also. I was also happy to see some environmentally friendly policies, such as solar powered water heating, plastic bottles reused as plant hangers and notes on laundry/ water energy preservation around the hotel. Overall, as our first hotel (of 6) in Sri Lanka, our stay at Theva has set the standard very high and will be difficult to beat.
Cons: Two points for consideration would be: 1. pool could be a little warmer, and 2. the car the hotel arranged to pick us up from the airport didn’t have working seatbelts and the driver they arranged to take us to Ella was a terrible driver who we felt quite unsafe with. Otherwise faultless
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thank you for an amazing stay at the theva residency. The food was amazing and the service was even better. 2 nights was definitely too short!!!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing especially Abby, the manager, who went above and beyond helping me organise a train ticket to Ella. I could not speak highly enough of the staff or the stunning views from my beautiful upgraded room (thank you Theva).
Cons: Could t find a thing I didn’t like.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great. Location was good for us as it was very quiet being 3km from Queens Hotel (opposite the Tooth Temple). Steam room and pool were very relaxing.
Cons: The prices for food were higher than anywhere else we stayed but the food quality much better. No real complaints at all. Not a city centre location but we liked that.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We got a free upgrade because of our honeymoon. The view from the room and the pool is incredible. They have free sauna and steam room.
Cons: No local fruits in the menu, only standard banana, papaya, watermelon
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay here was amazing !! Can't reccomend enough. The staff were so friendly and lovely, the food was delicious - especially getting to try a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. Our room was beautiful and the views insane, the pool was stunning-can't wait to go back!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Theva Residency was a great little find. Unfortunately our stay was very brief and therefore we didn’t benefit from the pool with a beautiful view. The room was immaculate with lovely little touches, such as chocolates on our bed when we returned to our room in the evening. The staff were so warm, friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and very well presented.
Cons: The location wasn’t an issue for us as we had a driver during our time in Sri Lanka, but it may be a little difficult to find on your own. However, the location gets you the view of Kandy, so it’s worth it.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Luxurious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything minus some of the gaudiness. They added a lovely personal touch knowing we were honeymooners. A delicious chocolate moose cake. Also upgraded us to a superior accommodation without extra charges. Staff was generally very friendly and helpful.
Cons: One staff member was unhelpful but in all fairness what I asked him was unreasonable.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The location and the view
Cons: 1.) BEDBUGS were biting us!!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!! SUCH A DIRTY ROOM FOR SUCH A HIGH PRICE! Room 332 and 331. 2.) The AC was so loud and noisy that is was not possible to sleep at all, we needed to switch it off 3.) When I've tried to call the Room service they couldn't speak English, I needed to call 5 times, then she said this number is the Restaurant, she can't take any order, she'll call me back. She never called me back. I needed to call the Reception to get some food. 4.) We have arrived to the breakfast about 15 minutes before finishing and we were staying about 5-10 minutes longer after 10am. The staff started to give us very bad eye, they were started to panic, they didn't serve us, they were behaving very rude. They were extremely impolite as they made us feel very guilty why are we overriding "their time" with 5 minutes. Unbelievable and very bad experience! I never ever want to stay there again I will tell everyone in my family, friends and all social media sites to Avoid your hotel!!! You don't deserve even 1 star!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: location and friend staff . especially Dhanushka
Cons: everything is perfect

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good place to rest
Cons: Nil
1.0 Poor
Cons: The place was full of wasps, it was quite dangerous to be honest. There were 200 of them on my room balcony and they also invaded the reception who had to do pest control.
6.2 Good
Pros: Good location, decent breakfast, typically friendly Sri Lankan staff
Cons: Bad value for money, terrible WiFi, lots of rough edges.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel - right by the lake! They helped arrange an awesome driver (Siri) to take us to Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa. They also surprised us with a slice of cake for my partner's birthday and lunches on our day of departure. The rooftop pool has a beautiful view of the sunrise. Thank you!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely view from the balcony, staff were very friendly and helpful
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good quality clean and modern hotel with lovely views. Decent breakfast. The staff were very helpful.
Cons: The hotel is up a hill from the lake which is poorly lit when walking back from dinner in town.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very peacefull place in the middle of crowded and loud Kandy. We could sleep without hearing noises from the street. Room was very comfortable, breakfast very tasty. Hotel has very professional service and they trully care for their guests. They organised for us transport to Ella with a nice driver called Sunil, which showed us nice places around Kandy and Nuwara Eliya and answered a lot of our questions about Sri Lanka. I definetly recommend this place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I was such a nice hotel and I would barely recommend staying there when you are going to Kandy. You can get everywhere without needing a car or a tuk tuk. I felt very save and the room was a dream. Also the breakfast is worth the price.
Cons: I didn’t really liked the city but that has nothing to do with that hotel :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was exellent. Around there is a tailor where u can get custom clothes made cheaply. Good local restaurant next door. Rooftop pool was nice. Rooftop hangout area was good. No alcohol sold in the hotel but u can drink ur own ones.breakfast was good but for us atleast we liked local restaurants better for it because we can have toast eggs and that at home too. Beds were superior.
Cons: Next to the very busy road
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, friendly staff
Cons: Nothing

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is nice, greenery all around. Staff is good and helpful. Vaue for money.
Cons: The location of the property is not very good. It's very far from the main city centre and located up in the hill, so not very convinient to walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This beautiful villa is surrounded by the quiet of the forest around Kandy (you will only hear birds chirping nearby), the rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful, terraces have a lovely view. The staff is really kind and always ready to help you with anything. Breakfast was good, we also had a lovely romantic dinner on one of our nights there, amazing food! The villa is just a 5-7 minute ride from the main road of Kandy. Amazing experience overall!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is one of those gems. A small Lux place with great views, peace and large living spaces. We stayed in a family suite and had an enormous apartment for 2 adults, 2 kids - separate bedrooms, sitting room etc, enormous - separate building from other people. The guys working here were super kind, and the gardener showed me nearly every fantastic plant he had - even disappeared into the jungle and came back with 3 advocados! The downside? - you may have to be determined to get to it. Its in Kandy, but like everything there, its up small winding roads on a hill. Still, if you have a driver, its not your problem. Apparently they are working on a pool - that for me is the only missing element.
Cons: Its not so close to Kandy centre, but so what, eat in the hotel - they will look after you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My time at the hotel was just perfect. The villa is large with great view, beautiful design and well-equipped. Staffs and services are just great. Would love to revisit if have any chance.
Cons: Nothing.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very nice view, nice villa and garden. Up a Hill. We stayed in a villa in the front with a nice terrace. Waked up with the lovely sound of the bird , parfect climat. Pieceful countyside lanscape. They brought us the breakfast in the terrasse with a good coffee and juice
Cons: Neighborhoud Dogs barked at night and noice from some insects which waked me up. For light sleeper like me i didn’t like, But not for my husband The bathroom confort is minimum . Curtains look like very cheap and not clean
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very kind and helpful, they find trustworthy three wheeler drivers, were very kind with the children. Many thanks for Ajith and Mahendran, who made our stay pleasant and we enjoyed all our days which we stayed in Kandy. The view was amazing as well,we loved it!
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is beautiful. Located a very tranquil place outside busy Kandy overlooking the mountains. The rooms are huge (ballroom size) and so is the bathroom. The best was the staff, they were amazing and very friendly and made up for the slightly overpriced room
Cons: The place is a bit dated and desperaty in need of renovation. The first room I stayed in leaked during heavy rainfall. They were busy building a swimming pool outside that caused a bit inconvenience
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, spacy villa, special breakfast with birthday cake for our daughter (thank you !!)

Pros: Huge bed lovely views, great staff. Pool looked lovely but didn’t use personally as rained heavily the night we arrived
Cons: Much further outside Kandy than advertised at least 30-40 minutes Tuk tuk rather than the 1.8km advertised on booking.com
10.0 Excellent
Pros: this hotel has the best view you can get in kandy , it's very quite , the staff are so helpful , they actually kept checking on me until I reached back home , they booked me a train ticket and they sent the driver just so I wont go all the way down myself , the food is perfect , the owner is an amazing person , the pool is my favorite and they have the cutest dogs :)

Pros: Loved every minute here. The old colonial building was great and it was equally as good inside! The rooms were spacious and had everything that I required. All channels on the tv were in english too. The staff were kind and respectful at all times and went out of the way to come and talk to you, which was a nice touch from the property. The food was also very nice and there was a large selection on offer, both for breakfast and dinner. A must stay while in kandy!
Cons: No negatives
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money Good variety at breakfast Convenient location Friendly staff
Cons: The bathroom could have been a little cleaner
5.0 Okay
Pros: - Grand old colonial building - Lovely terrace area to have a drink in the evenings - Stunning ball room dining area
Cons: - The air conditioning unit in our room broke in the middle of the night - Generally shabby hotel in areas, it could really do with some TLC
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location , staff very very good.
Cons: Good location as hotel. but the hotel was dirty. cups for breakfast in the morning were very dirty. furnishings very old bathroom very old. There are also no carpets in the hallways and footsteps in the hallway awaken you at night. the food is delicious. staff very good. very respectful. but the hotel needs cleaning.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very nice character property, conveniently located near Kandy lake and walking distance to the town centre. The facilities were really nice - beautiful gardens with Kandy views, nice swimming pool, and a restaurant with good dinner options and live music. The staff were very pleasant and friendly.
Cons: We were in 4th floor where the elevator doesn’t go, so we had to drag our heavy luggages when checking out. When I asked something in the reception, staff members started chatting between themselves in their language which made me doubt whether they understand what I say in English.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, amazing room, clean, perfect location, friendly staff, amazing value for the money.
Cons: The wifi could be faster but overall I didn't miss anything.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The ambeance, cleanliness, and the good location are perfect. The aminities provided are good. Daily cleaning is a great thing they have done. Stuffs are also very good and helpful.
Cons: The back side rooms of the hotel has no direct access from main entrance. There is no lift. One have to go upstair by two floor each time from their room , then can access the lift to main entrance. That is very annoying. They must have a lift for their back part of the hotel. This is a type of harrassment for their boarders.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good, bar is good.
Cons: The rooms are totally different to the pictures, there was a damp smell in the room, the room is worth paying 3000 not 7300 what we payed.
1.0 Poor
Pros: did not like anything! left early as it was dusgusting
Cons: Room is very unhygienic and shower smells so bad. Toilet seems like it may break as it is lose and moves around. Our first day's dinner was a terrible experience with staff member "Priyantha" who not only was rude but gave wrong information and also extremely poor service. Also got our orders incorrect twice! We felt so uncomfortable to stay and left a day early as we couldn't take it anymore.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location of the hotel, Value for money, Last drop restaurant
6.0 Good
Pros: Everything was quite ok . The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The housekeeping guy went out of his way to help us. The room service was delivered promptly and the food was not bad at all.
Cons: 'Parking' !! which was a nightmare! .. Next time I will visit Kandy by public transport - if I intend to stay here. Also, please advice your staff not to fight in raw sinhala filth (kunuharupa).. thankfully most of the guests were foreigners and may not have understood the profanity. There was a huge argument and we were shocked that they were screaming at each other in such bad language. Please ask your staff to sort out their problems in an enclosed area away from the guests. Thank you.
