Pros: Roda and the crew keep a clean place. Very nice stay and worth every penny. Would highly recommend a stay here again. The breakfast was delicious. It was a walk to the center of town, but better than dealing with the noise. Close to the best Pub we could find, the Norse.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at the pembroke. It was clean and within walking distance of everything. Every worker was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculate.
Cons: The only issue we had during our stay was the heater. It did not appear to work appropriately. However, our room was only slightly colder than the we would have liked, so it was certainly still comfortable.

Pros: The Pembroke is centrally located near Kilkenny Castle, shopping and restaurants. Our room was large and nicely decorated with all necessary conveniences. The breakfast was delicious with many choices. Overall, an excellent value.
Cons: Because of the central location, parking is a few blocks away. It really wasn't a problem, though, because we were able to walk everywhere.
This lovely hotel can be found in Kilkenny. Pets are not allowed at Fanad House Bed & Breakfast.

Located in an 18th-century townhouse, the hostel offers private and dormitory accommodation, luggage storage and free Wi-Fi. All accommodation has use of shared bathroom facilities, as well as a lounge with an open fire and a well-equipped kitchen. There are also free-to-use lockers, and a computer for guests’ use. Laundry services are also available. Kilkenny Train Station is just over 1km away, and the hostel is also close to local bus routes. Pros: The location was close to all of the medevil sites in Kilkenny as well as to the local bars and restaurants. We enjoyed the Irish music at the local pubs.
Cons: The hotel is in the process of updating its rooms. We were in one which hadn’t yet been updated. The room was clean, but in need of updating.

Pros: Room was adequate. The highlight is breakfast, a continental spread with hot Irish breakfast as well. Views of the castle from the dining room. Staff is very friendly.
Cons: Castle view rooms cost a premium, even in the off-season when the hotel is obviously under-occupied.

Pros: The hotel was next to the river with a perfect view of Kilkenny castle. The reception, resturant, and bar were nice and the outside patio with view is fantastic.
Cons: The room was in poor, poor condition. Walls were falling apart, it had walpaper that was pealed off in several places, the bathroom had several broken tiles etc.

Pros: Club House Hotel is centrally located for sight seeing in Kilkenny. Easy walking distance to Kilkenny Castle and a tour of this medieval town. Staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions. The hotel is old and wel kept, giving it much charm. Our room was comfortable. Free parking is available.
