Pros: Oberoi are very attentive to the small things and making you comfortable. One concierge, Mr. Rahan, was really on the ball for outings and ideas. Staff were courteous and smiling. I used the Spa facilities each evening for the steam room and the ladies were lovely.
Cons: On checkout, I didn't appreciate being held for 30 minutes for a 8,600 rupee dinner charge that was not mine ($160) during a time of day when I was heading off for a boat ride and not even in the hotel. The delay caused me to miss the check in time for my flight. I had to book new tickets home that cost $300 to fly via Delhi instead of Direct. Secondly, I didn't appreciate being lied to by a concierge who said a yellow taxi would refuse to take me to my boat launch. He assured me the hotel car was only a small amount more, but failed to tell me 465 rupees more. I grabbed an uber on the way back from the help of an India family for 65 rupees, who assured me taxis, Ubers and Olas would take me everywhere. For me it is the principle of being lied to.

Pros: From the moment you step in this hotel, you feel fabulous. The cleanliness, the friendly staff, the whole environment is just wow. Super comfortable bed. And the breakfast is just outstanding and I mean it outstanding. The food quality is just super nothing can beat that. When ever I travel to India Taj is my only preference to stay. I don’t compromise anything else. Because my health comes first and Taj is the only place where I can trust.
Cons: Not at all. Everything was just perfect :-) I love Taj.

Pros: Nothing. Would not recommend this hotel.
Cons: Excessive attention at check-in; offers to carry by carry-on bag and lead me to my assigned room -- I;m not an invalid. Don;'t appreciate the in-your-face-working-for-a-tip culture. Breakfast area was poorly laid out, and dirty. Business Center was inaccessible because they had rented out the access room to get to the business center. There were no other places to sit quietly and do work from a laptop except the breakfast area. Staff were poorly trained. Management have no 'connected thinking'. The owner has been dead for years. It is about time the fake tributes on video and the painting in the hall are changed throughout the Lalit system of hotels.

Cons: i was not given the room type i booked and paid for , and the reservation was made months before my stay. i had to move rooms but only after i complained . very bad service imho. buffet breakfast was incomprehensible, street in front of hotel is grim . would not recommend this hotel. Oberoi better however the concierge was excellent . and one gal at reception desk was clever and helpful.
