9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Food
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a stunning property with well appointed rooms and a great breakfast.
Cons: It is overpriced. I was staying here between safaris, so I booked the most luxurious place I could find in Vic Falls. In hindsight, I don’t think it was worth it. Would have rather paid half of this room rate and still been in a very nice hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: As a frequent traveler the best breakfast i have been served. Old colonial feeling, the perfect place to relax. The property has a herd of Zebra, Giraffe and Impala plus a troupe of Baboons that wander the property. Frequent sighting of Hippo's in the river and an Elephant graced us with its dominant presence crossing to a local island. Great location for doing all local attractions River cruise, River Safari, Land Safari, Micro Light and Bungee jumping for the brave. Sitting in the National park, a great walk alongside the Victoria Falls Zambia side (20Mins) or hop cross to the Zimbabwe side, Visa and transport required 20 Mins. Water in full flow March- May other wise Zambia side dry but a view of the Zimbabwe side is partly seen. Relax Relax Relax its a great stop off location for 2-5 days eay location to Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Accommodation is a 10 everything available Tea coffee espresso Machine. Wifi throughout the property is superb. Although electric does go down intermittently. Staff are friendly. Will return
Cons: Nothing to disapprove of, it becomes personal choice, we found that the food choice apart from breakfast was a a bit highbrow and local flavored, No Snacks in room, no shop to buy a bar of chocolate or some comfort snacks ( take with). I found that the staff are over friendly on occasion and keep on and remind you of who they are (tips), which was a bit off putting and uncomfortable. It falls short of 5* response as urgency and staff understanding sometimes isn't up to the mark, this is cultural No ATM - the property is twined with another Hotel Avani, where you have to get a shuttle to if you need cash, it has a better menu if you want Pizza and burgers etc.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, grounds and facilities, guest zebras and giraffe, walk to the eastern falls, Zambezi river sunset
Cons: No airport shuttle.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful lodge, clean.
Cons: I would have preferred more vegetarian buffet & menu choices.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location to river, Livingstone town, Victoria Falls, Chobe NP. Great African feel. Beautiful gardens, drinks and food very reasonably priced.
Cons: Took 50% payment pre-arrival (no probs) but then stated they’d cancel my confirmed booking unless I supplied my card details yet again before arrival while I was en transit and in and out of signal driving in Africa)... not professional. No other hotel has done that ever to me (stayed in literally 100s). Was not happy, little responsibility or follow up stated. Grrr. :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: I cannot rate this place highly enough. Worth every cent. Service is unrivaled. Sunsets are spectacular. We will be back.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Gloria and her staff were very kind. They cleaned our rooms every day while we were out. The breakfast was also very good. Gloria also helped us plan out our time in Livingstone. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful service. Run by a Zambian couple (not foreign investors!). They were very kind as were all the staff members. Although traveling alone, my room had a queen and a twin bed. Very comfortable mattresses. There is AC, a TV (I never used it), warm shower, full bathroom, mini-fridge. The common area has a pool and a dining area the backs up to the home of the owners as well as WiFi. Breakfast and other light meals were provided. One of the owners provided transportation. It was fun to meet a few others who were staying there. I would highly recommend this place. 500%
Cons: I liked everything. However, you should know that it is a 15 minute walk to the main part of Livingstone. The owner offered to drive me there gladly. The walk is very safe and I enjoyed it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best location,on point
Cons: Not what I can’t think of
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and to arrange tours and transport. The hospitality was outstanding!

Pros: I travel to Livingstone monthly for work and have been hard pressed to find a place that offers comfort, peace and quiet. Gloria's is such a place, being centrally located it is a gem of a find! Gloria and her staff are attentive, helpful and friendly :) Well done, I will be back!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: If you are not looking for that fancy, more expensive hotel, then this is for you. It's clean, has a pool, within walking distance to the center and nice rooms. What makes this place special to others is the staff really. Gloria and her crew, for example Moses, are happy to help you out with anything you need (e.g. food delivery from Zambezi Cafe, recommended). Gloria and her family (with lovely kids) live on the premise too and you are always welcome to step into her house and sit down for a chat. This is what makes this place different to others and gives it that warm, familiar atmosphere you can feel comfy. As simple as that! Thank you Gloria!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The convenience and the helpfulness of Gloria and the staff there. They are knowledgeable and will always go the extra mile for you.
Cons: Frequent electricity cuts but this will be the case in most places in Zambia. Electricity cuts of up to 15 hours a day. Gloria does have a generator but this will not power the fridge oven or microwave though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay while visiting Victoria Falls. Gloria is really sweet and attentive - lovely people at the spot will make you feel welcome big time. Even when the city was missing electricity, Gloria put a special effort to arrange the fan powered by generator to cool down her guests :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: There was enough bedding and beds for family of 5 and they were comfortable and clean. Nice Host Family, professional staff. They even offered tour guidance during our stay.
5.8 Okay
Cons: The generator supplying electricity when there is no electricity was too loud. You could hardly work not sleep.

Pros: The staff who were very proactive from the very beginning, and very friendly and helpful all throughout our stay. The place has a very beautiful garden, the rooms are clean and nice, there is secure parking, and the location is very good, right in front of Shoprite with an ATM, and lots of nearby restaurants. Highly recommended!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Chilled out place with very friendly staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I’ve stayed here a few times and am always impressed with the helpful staff and facilities. The travelers are very respectful and I felt safe and secure while staying there. The free pancakes are an added bonus. The best deal for solo travels in Livingstone!
Cons: Not many toilets for the people staying in dorms. May find a line on occasion.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice facilities, pleasant ambience, very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Non AC room felt like an oven. Electric fan was little help.
6.3 Good
Pros: Kind staffs, free pan cake between pm 3-4:00
Cons: Bed wasn’t clean enough
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful landscaping, nice pool, rooms are clean, good price, located across the street from grocery store & down the street from tasty restaurants, as well as ATMs. Billiards table, board games, great place to hang out.
Cons: The rooms were SO HOT. My friends & I rented two of the rooms with two bunk beds (four people each room). It was a very small room so it didn’t take too much body heat to make the whole room drip in sweat. I had stayed in a two person room with two twin beds which had an AC unit in it so I was expecting the same in the four person room. I was sadly mistaken.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!! I upgraded to a private room, which was clean and comfortable, which was still very good value. Free tea (and coffee) all day, and free pancakes at 3pm. The garden and pool were beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful. A free daily shuttle to Victoria Falls
Cons: Apparently the dorms were very hot with no fans.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Free coffee and pancakes and free shuttle to the falls. The price was also very good.
Cons: No electricity for much of the stay. Not the hotels fault.

Pros: Second time here and I am pleased as ususl.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Hostel is in big land and all the facilities available and spread out.
Cons: No Drinking water in water supply. It was always empty . No hand washing liguids in toilets as containers always empty too. No credit cards accepted in the bar. And bar never had change to give us. They expect you to spend whatever money you gave to them. If you are lucky and dont forget you may get your change as you leave the bar or next day.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: In the heart of Livingstone, this cosy hostel and budget friendly hotel has the friendliest and kindest staff. Will help with planning all sorts of great things to do in Livingstone and a fun place to be in the evenings.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. I stayed here as a woman traveling solo and would recommend to anyone - solo or groups. Friendly and helpful staff + owner, good food and drinks and they throw in some really cool stuff like free airport pickup and shuttle to Vic falls that I’ve never seen anywhere else and makes it amazing quality, especially for the price. Very glad that I stayed here ☺️.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Per my previous review, it is a great place to stay.
Cons: There are really no major flaws with Jollyboys. See my previous review for suggested improvements.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great hostel met loads of cool travelers. Great trips organised by the hostel would really recommend the rafting and booze cruise. Free shuttle to the falls in the morning is great too! Lovely pool.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: What a satisfying place to stay! The location is perfect, in the heart of Livingstone and a short walk to the most important sites and amenities (including two large supermarkets). In terms of layout, it’s been thoughtfully conceived to be conducive to multifarious activities: quiet spaces for R&R, an art corner for contemplation, a bar and pool for mingling and rooms at the back for peace and quiet. Although I didn’t book activities through the hostel, the travel desk was often busy with enquires and the listed tours seemed reasonable. I ordered breakfast on one occasion and it was generous and tasty. The dorm rooms are quite new and thoughtfully laid out. Staff are friendly and helpful, too, particularly Marius who spontaneously organised a braai on my final evening. I really had a good time at Jollyboys, both times I stayed.
Cons: The shower heads in the communal bathrooms are a little rusty and could do with replacing. An air freshener in the dorm rooms would be helpful as the stench from people’s backpacks and dirty clothing often stifled my sleep during the night particularly as the air conditioning would cut out at all hours (which is a Zambia-wide problem). Consider having the wifi reach further than just the bar. It makes sense from a business perspective to limit it to the bar, forcing people to sit there which will encourage them to buy drinks while surfing the internet, but it’s not conducive to privacy when you need to make Skype or WhatsApp calls. Just a few thoughts.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I’ve stayed at Jollyboys a number of times over many years & the place has got better & better. Food is good & the staff are brilliant.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: We appreciated the continuous communication before our arrival and the in house activity office who can organize all the events and activities around Livingstone. We found this a great deal of convenience and their knowledge of the area and particulars were invaluable to our stay. A special mention to Mwila who arannged everything for us! We also loved the friendly, unpretentious staff who catered for our every need with a huge smile. The communal living area was a pleasant place to hang around in between activities, allowing guests to share experiences and with FIFA World Cup being broadcasted on two TVs during our stay. It is very welcoming to see a stay that focuses a lot on sustainable living and care for their environment and community which permeates through their values as a business. Furthermore we liked the pricing and we found it exceptionally reasonable and it is definitely value for money. Finally it is often a scary experience when it comes to taking a taxi but Jollyboys have selected a few drivers who is often on standby which made it very easy for us. They were always so fantastic, honest and friendly, particularly Sam who made this trip extra special for us!
Cons: We didn't like the shared shower facilities which perhaps shared a common geysers hence running out on hot water and water pressure during showers at peak hours. We also found the heavily rusted soap trays in the showers a little disconcerting. Another problem was the Wi-Fi internet where you are confined to a small bar area where it is shared amongst all guests. This proved difficult during peak traffic where everyone is using the bandwidth at the same time which made it very slow. It was also not always convenient as you didn't have any Wi-Fi signal in the rooms. Lastly the bar could perhaps improve on it's menu selection which is minimal and a more comprehensive curio shop could be something to consider for those looking to bring something back as a gift or for memory as a matter of convenience for travellers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great atmosphere and facilities
Cons: They need to repair the solar charging alarm that was going off constantly behind my room during my stay

8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the breakfast and dinner, great location in town
Cons: The staff sre excellent
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Its Zambia and if you want 5 star accommodation, head towards the Falls or similar and pay accordingly. Our accommodation was clean and well presented and staff were very, very helpful. Air conditioning in three rooms and each unit worked fine. We were without power one night so it got a tad warm but that's not the fault of LePatino. They did have a generator that kept the lights and WiFi going (wifi was important to the children). The kids liked the pool. Close enough to walk to the Spar on the main street but a bit of a slog walking back up the hill in the heat. Staff arranged pickup from the airport that was efficient and not too expensive. The same taxi driver (Mr Frank of Ramjet Safaris ) also arranges worthwhile excursions.
Cons: Not too much to complain about. Had to get a mosquito net for one of the beds from another unit but nothing beyond that.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff are extremely friendly. Made my stay comfortable.
Cons: Alternative power was not adequate and it times of electricity load shedding, water pressure was very low
9.2 Excellent
Pros: LePatino B&B is a nice place to stay in Livingstone, with the most helpful and nicest staff you will ever have a chance meeting. The rooms are very clean and comfy, but staff is just amazing with their positivity and smiles. Highly recommended!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderfull, very friendly and always willing to help. The room was very clean and there was a lot of space. Breakfast was also good!
Cons: During our stay unfortunatly the swimmingpool was under construction. However, an alternative was offered. But due to our short stay we couldn’t use that offer.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Current was off
5.0 Okay
Pros: hi my name is ray bailey and with my wife wendy we only spent one night there it was infested with mosquito's most of the time there was no electricity also there was no pool under renovation we were told, it was miles from anywhere and my wife sent you an email about it but got no reply we promptly booked green tree lodge the next day and stayed there for the next 4 nights we would definitely not go back
Cons: it could have been closer to amenities a Poole would have been nice electricity is a must no mosquito's it did,nt even have a handle on the inside of the bathroom door the only things in its favour were nice breakfast and big room with comfortable bed and the staff were nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lodge is very nice and the room was great! Wireless internet was fast and allowed some work to get done. The building is in a great location and everyone was very helpful. Excellent!
Cons: There really wasn't anything not to like. Everything was clean and in order. However, it would be nice to be provided a couple bottles of water. Even if the hotel had some drinks available to purchase.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The friendly staff, hands down!!
Cons: Not the hotel's fault, but electricity blackouts are apparently a regular affair - meaning no AC. And boy was it hot (40+ C). Luckily, power kicked back in at 8:30pm - so got an excellent night's sleep.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff! Nice pool! We would come back when in Livingstone.
Cons: A littlebit in need of reconstruction in rooms but that doesn't disturb too much

Cons: The air conditioning and WiFi only worked at night. The power turns off at 7 am.

Cons: more lights in the room and in the bathroom, strong smell in the room.

Pros: It was close to the falls. About a 8min cab ride.
Cons: Food wasn't very good. Internet was terrible. All the adventures from activity center were stupid exspensive. Staff seemed disappointed when I wanted to extend my stay. Cons: Finding the gate locked and waiting for my room key after a long working day
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is THE PLACE TO BE in Livingstone. Central location, walking distance to town, cafe', restaurants, supermarket, banks and the very interesting Museum. Very good breakfast, you can choose among different options, the room was clean and confortable, moskito net was included. Very nice garden and pool. What makes this place special is the staff, starting from the owner, a super lovely lady passionate for dogs and always ready to help her clients. I booked the Devil's pool through the lodge, everything was perfectly organised. As solo traveller I had many questions even before getting there and I always got very precise, helpful and detailed answers, providing me with all different options available. The staff is simply amazing, kindness is the rule at Zig Zag lodge. I really suggest to be closer to town rather than the falls which are very easily reachable by taxi or local bus, but enjoyable only during the day. I definitively recommend this place! Thanks again for making my stay unforgettable!
7.9 Good
Pros: Zig Zag Town Lodge is located outside downtown Livingstone on the road leading to Victoria Falls National Park. The rooms are basic, but clean. There is a swimming pool, restaurant, WiFi, free parking and 24-hour security. The hotel is owned by an English woman who also runs a shelter for homeless animals. I enjoyed my stay at Zig Zag and would return.
7.9 Good
Pros: This was a good value for money stopover. Room was small but adequate&had good mosquito net. Plenty of hot water for the shower. The muffins were amazing
Cons: Room was a bit small but otherwise fine.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly & restaurant was good when it was open.
Cons: Lots of mosquitoes in room, no communal area to sit when restaurant was closed (as it was on our 1st night). Slightly run down & overpriced, even with the genius discount.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central accommodation with a nice garden between the falls and town with walking distance to church/museum/shops. You can book all your activities, the hosts are very friendly, natural and give you a great welcome-feeling, they are always there for a chat and advices. I liked the natural bathroom with the spacious shower.

Pros: I was made to feel at home away from home. They organised a friendly driver who fetched me from the airport. He took me to town to get a Zambian sim card and gave me a mini tour of the town. I was greeted by friendly staff ,who made sure I was happy at all times. The rooms are clean, spacious ,safe and beautiful. I felt like I was in a beautiful village! It is now my favourite place in Zambia!

Pros: Eco-lodge is really a fantastic place. Own traditional house for a couple with an outdoor shower looking at the trees and sky; a private reception outdoor covered space to welcome friends; enough plugs and IT-potential for working also; good space for storing suitcases and clothes for a couple. It's ideal for a couple! Also the privacy and the reeds-type pool that is magic and clean... Enjoyed myself a lot

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful; the rooms are comfortable
Cons: They could do more in the way of entertainment at the premises. The swimming pool, though clean, is more of pond with tadpoles and such, so you can't use it for too long.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is Fab! I was quite surprised at the beauty. When I heard elephants pass nearby, I was sold. For breakfast, I had a fruit bowl with fresh organic strawberries from their garden. It was delectable. There was a beautiful trail around the property, so I did a few laps. The also has a natural pool. My Chalet was WOW!!! Absolutely stunning, with a private indoor/outdoor garden. It was 5 star and also an Eco lodge.
Cons: Fab!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful and pleasent. They were there to help us when we needed assistance. I would like to mention that Precious, Sheila, Vincent and Choolwe always went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy. We do appreciate it, especially when all the staff organized the bon fire for us to have our s'mors. A big thank you to that. And a big thank you to Nina, who made sure that everything is in order and that we are happy. She really did here best to assist us with everything that we needed which made our trip very pleasent. We will definitely see you guys again!! Thanks Tamar & Ma'ayan
Cons: The load shedding and no fresh & clean towels. The towels were smelly.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfasts are good
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Eco system and deco, very relaxed
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Thanks so much for this wonderful experience. Staff was really helpful and really kind (once more: thank you Debra) Lodge was amazing (looks like a little African village, wonderful swimming pool area,...) They offer extra services free of charges (they booked for us our boat cruise, a Victoria fall walk,...) If we come back to Zambia, we will definitely spend few days there again. They are also really close from the falls.
Cons: Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Pros: The setting is remote but beautiful overlooking a gorge. John and staff were great and the chefs prepared delicious meals. This is a very authentic experience for adventurous travelers.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is fabulous, perched as it is on the edge of the Zambezi Gorge. If you like isolation, atmosphere and great accommodation and food this is for you. Meals good with view overlooking the gorge. Room was bush camp style but with large bed room, mosquito netting over double bed, separate bathroom and enclosed garden courtyard. Staff really helpful and courteous Do take the escorted walk along the top of the gorge and also the rather steep descent /ascent to the river
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything was great, service was good, and I had a great time and experience, apart from the very small parts that I didn't liked.
Cons: Communication between staff and customer could be clearer. For eg, the airport shuttle service could be stated more clearly that it comes with an extra charge, and after booking is made and payment collected, they should send a note stating that everything is confirmed (since I received a note stating that Taita will send me a confirmation) but I had to follow up with Taita myself to ask them if my booking is confirmed. They could be more clear and swift on that part.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location to get away from it all and unwind True African Nature experience Very good staff Great birding spot - although it was drier than expected we very happy with what we set out to find Nice to meet and see owners involved

Grrr. :(
