Pros: We stayed one night here with our dog and can’t fault anything. The standard was set with coffee we were served with when we arrived early before we walked the dog. After this, things got better. Check in was quick, the room was spotless and very comfortable with a large bathroom and an excellent, well priced minibar selection. Our evening meal was excellent and the bar very comfortable for evening drinks. Breakfast was incredible with a great selection of freshly cooked meals and a large buffet selection catering for all needs. What was most surprising was how reasonable the prices were. From the room to the meal and the drinks, we felt like we had a bargain. Finally, the best part of the Mulberry Inn is the staff. Really helpful and polite and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. It’s hard to recommend this place more.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Superb food, fantastic hosts

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Impeccable hosts.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good, though didn't get exactly what we ordered....
Cons: We didn't get the beds we booked, i.e. a double and a single in the same room. Instead we got 2 singles, which wasn't a problem, but we were then charged the same price of 200 pounds, which I thought was already very expensive for what we were getting. The bathroom was nothing special and there was no towel rail or anywhere to hang towels.....
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location beautiful countryside. Staff were very helpful meal was very good drinks were a little expensive but overall good value. Rooms were nice and comfortable but no heating in bathroom or bedroom but bed was very comfortable and warm. I would definitely stay again
Cons: Rooms need heating nice location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, good size room, comfortable bed, ability to be able to take the dog into most areas of the hotel, warm friendly welcome
Cons: Kitchen smells from kitchen fan directly outside room window, but didn’t last all light. Also booking.com advertise adding evening meal for £25pp. This is inaccurate as there is no £25 menu at the hotel and if meal choice exceeds this cost then customer pays the difference, booking.com should make this clearer. A lot of hype about the food, did not reach the heights of our expectations
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location in a quiet but quaint village. Hotel beautiful cosy with log fires wonderful food

Gales of Llangollen - Llangollen - Building

8.8 Excellent (819 reviews)
S$ 134+
Overview Reviews
A glorious Wine Bar and Hotel in two Georgian facade buildings. Wood panelling providing character it opened in 1977. Its tempting to say not much has changed in terms of atmosphere because although it has grown overall it has continued to keep its rooms small and now numbers 20 tables in the wine bar. The upper floors became sixteen en-suite guest rooms. The fifteenth century cellar holds vast quantities of very excellent wine. The Wine Bar and its reputation has flourished and draws in folk from every corner of the earth – each to be plied with wine and food and conversation and responding with degrees of loyalty which see many returning now armed with grandchildren.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed good. Central location in town, with parking. Owners-staff helpful and fun to deal with. Quaint old-world charm.
Cons: It may not fit the bill for anyone expecting shiny new "glass and chrome" with new furnishings etc.. If a bit of "patina" puts you off, think twice... or try it a yway and test your prejudices!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything staff so friendly.

Pros: Plenty of space in the room Comfortable beds Central location Car parking on site Simple continental breakfast included in price (croissant and yoghurt bowl with seeds) - tasty. Cooked breakfasts looked nice.

5.1 Okay
Pros: The "Junior Suite" (which is actually a larger bedroom and a bathroom) is a completely different and higher standard of room. I was moved to this room eventually, after complaining about the poor quality of the first two rooms provided.
Cons: Standard room in the older part of the hotel (and I tried two) were of poor quality. Poor and tired decor, cobwebs, stains and broken furniture. The bar food was of dubious quality for the price e.g. £11.95 for a burger (which was quite literally a dry meat pattie in a bun, with no tomato, no onions, no lettuce) and fries. Wifi only works in the "suites" section of the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff really friendly and helpful. Scenic.
Cons: Only warm water in room. A bit of a chilly shower.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and spa. Good location and an Aldi nearby!
Cons: Fire door banging through night, obviously and issue with closing mechanism.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in a lovely town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, room, attentiveness, spa, breakfast.. Everything..
Cons: We've stayed here a number of times now. And seen it pass through a couple of ownerships. The attentiveness of the staff was excellent possibly due to what seemed to be a harmonious vibe amongst them all. Some of the small failings we've previously noticed from some staff to furniture have been corrected and are better for the change. Thanks it was another lovely stay.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: how helpfull the staff were at the hotel and how clean and comfy the whole stay was oh and the price was fairly reasonable.
5.3 Okay
Pros: Convenient - comfortable food was very good
Cons: It was explained when we arrived that the television signal was paying up, and that we would have problems with some channels - we were told that an engineer would be putting it right that afternoon but no improvement was seen - we stayed at this hotel approx a year ago and had the same problem, coincidence or not?

5.3 Okay
Pros: The Spa facilities
Cons: The decor was shabby and could do with a lick of paint updating

Its tempting to say not much has changed in terms of atmosphere because although it has grown overall it has continued to keep its rooms small and now numbers 20 tables in the wine bar. The upper floors became sixteen en-suite guest rooms. The fifteenth century cellar holds vast quantities of very excellent wine. The Wine Bar and its reputation has flourished and draws in folk from every corner of the earth – each to be plied with wine and food and conversation and responding with degrees of loyalty which see many returning now armed with grandchildren.
