Pros: The flight was excellent, and the team worked very well.

Pros: The boarding, comfort and crew were excellent. Everything is very organized and professional.

Cons: I had a 12 hour layover in Istanbul. The hotel was great and I appreciated the good food and rest. However, it took nearly an hour each way to the hotel. I think it would be great if Istanbul airways cooperated with the Yotel so transit passengers could stay in the airport. They helped me to get a visa and they say it will be reimbursed, but all of those things took time when I was so exhausted after a long flight. Overall, it was wonderful to have that opportunity to rest and shower on a long wait, but it would be even better if it was closer and it was clear ahead of time that a visa would be needed.

Pros: Outstanding and conscientious crew.

Cons: Seats continue to get more narrow and rows are moved closer and closer. However, the Turkish Air seats are among the most comfortable, relatively speaking.

Pros: Turkish Airlines can really teach other airlines about hospitality and customer service. They really go above and beyond to make you feel super comfortable.

Cons: Crew seemed to be having an off day. Not as organized and we’re rushed.

Cons: Our flight got delayed so American Airlines Auto switched us to a flight leaving a day later with a 17 hour layover. When I called to get it fixed I waited on hold for 30 minutes before I got through. Once we got on original flight they gave away seats we paid extra for and gave us no refund.

Pros: Plane was clean, plenty of leg room, cabin crew was friendly, flight was on time.

Cons: Checking in was a nightmare of inefficiency. I couldn't use self-check-in for my bad because I was flying to America and for some reason, this meant I had to hand my suitcase to someone rather than just putting it on the conveyor belt. There were about 8 people ahead of me, and yet it took a solid hour of standing in line waiting to get to the counter. How it could possibly have been so insanely slow is beyond me. When it was finally my turn to submit my bag it literally took 30 seconds. And yet I had to wait an hour. Grade: F-
