Excellent StaffPros: The Staff was excellent, responsive and kind. The rooms were fun and a nice size, small but well appointed. Great location.
Pros: Location, restaurant.....and unfortunately that's allCons: Dilapidated room and bathroom, AC is so loud when turns on that wakes you up
Trying hard to be hip Pros: The hotel was clearly recently redecorated to be hip and modern.Cons: I did not realize my single room would consist of a twin bed in a 6 by 10 room. It was half the room pictured. There was no closet, just some small drawers tucked behind the bed. They do an admiralable job with space efficiency but you should know going in how small the space is.
Pros: The staff went out of their way to assist with all our needs and although we were not happy with our room they went out of their way to sort us out .Cons: The first room we were assigned to , room 945 had a bad odour which was intolerable. We were then changed to room 444 which is slightly smaller but has good odour , unfortunately the aircon was super noisy and disturbed us on the first night . we then worked out a way to improve this noise so much better.
The shower head in room 444 needs attention as it leaks at the back of the pipe - this is evidence of poor maintenance.
Great one night stay in the city Pros: Very clean, large bathroom and super comfy bed!
Pros: The room with one twin bed. It was the perfect, cozy size for one person, and much more affordable than other types of rooms at this hotel.
the redbury NY needs to get its act togetherPros: location was good for the purpose of my trip. the lobby/restaurant was hip and bustling. Cons: the staff: apathetic, dismissive, rude, unapologetic
rooms: way too small and awkward, no shades on bathroom windows, no amenities, no closet space
overall experience: borderline abusive
special note- extremely awkward situation happening on 8th floor where apparently a permanent tenant lives in one of the rooms and has several crazy notices taped to the outside of his/her door.
also the fitness center is a joke.
Pros: Staff was very polite and courteous. The housekeeper who cleaned my room was very thorough and kind. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable!Cons: I didn't like the street noise at night. Honking of horns continuously but nothing the hotel can do about that in NYC I guess
A City Gem!Pros: A great hotel with it all, charm, location, hip vibe, great restaurant, attentive staff, and nice extras (comp coffee, helpful concierge, great lounge with food & bev options at good prices). Loved it!Cons: A larger, more expansive fitness room would be nice.
Great stay in NYC!Pros: The best thing about the Redbury hands down is the customer service! My family and I stayed a week and everyone we encountered was amazing! From the front desk to housekeeping, our service at Marta and especially Laurel at Cafe Marchio, the staff is absolutely outstanding! Location is great being very close to the subway (and my daughters school). I will definitely be back!Cons: I know it's New York but the bathroom could really use a shelf or two for storage.
Pros: Friendlyat staff and great location. Quiet amd clean rooms. Cons: The beds were not firm enough
Pros: Nice hotel, great rooms, bar and got an excellent rate
