10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was ideal for a long weekend skiing. Easy to get to from airport and the hotel itself was effectively ski in ski out so very little hassle and no time lost. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Food and service was superb. Spa area and pool lovely. Staff very friendly.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff, facilities and location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved this hotel! Perfect location in Obergurgl, fantastic facilities, great food and exceptional service from the staff! We staid for a long weekend and they ensured we had a most wonderful holiday.
Cons: I wish we could have stayed for longer! I can't fault the hotel, it was perfect in every way!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Service, staff and food excellent
Cons: Room & shower room was very small and extremely hot. Neighbours smoking on their balconies 24/7 meant smoke was coming in through open windows
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Personal, hotel facilities, food was exceptional, close to the skiresort and nice view from the room.
Cons: Room was a bit colder (just one radiator in a big suite).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, very clean and operated to perfection by the staff. Everything can be arranged and we felt very welcome. The food was fresh and very good, we really enjoyed beeakfast and dinner. The spa area is lovely and the rooms are nice and well equiped. The location is very good and close to the ski rent and the slopes.
Cons: Stepping into the bath to shower is a bit old fashioned.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful stylish architecture that stays true to its Austrian Alps roots. Very spacious, modern and clean rooms. Great coffee in the room. Very very very well trained staff. Very polite. They go out of their way to help you and pamper you. Breakfast is great, lunch is great, dinner is even better. Great pool, sauna, Turkish bath and gym area. Possibility for taking a shower and using the pool after check out and a wash room explicitly for late checkout guests. Parking in the hotel, without any extra charges. 2 minutes walk from the main lift in Hochgurl.
Cons: The pool and the gym’s opening times need to be extended. They currently close at 7 PM which massively restricts any activities in the evening. In particular if the weather was bad during the day I would have expected to have the possibility to use the gym until late. The dinner time is also quite restricted. You basically only have 1.5 hours to have dinner. It starts at 7 PM and finishes at 8:30 PM. It feels very constrained and takes a little bit the holiday feeling out.
Hotel Garni Schonblick - Obergurgl - Building

9.5 Excellent (218 reviews)
S$ 295+
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming staff. Well decorated and up to date hotel. We had a great stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Almost ski in and out - just a short walk (<50m) from the property to the slopes. Great breakfast in the morning - including cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, cheese, cured meats, and toast; the coffee in the morning was also great. The Double Room we stayed in had plenty of space for two people including snowboard bags - lots of storage space to unpack all the clothes. The TV was offered multiple channels in each language. The WiFi was fast - enough to watch Youtube and Netflix in decent quality/resolution. Bathroom was clean and not cramped. View from the room was great! Could see the mountains straight from our room.
Cons: Thin floors / walls - could hear kids running around upstairs very well, and could hear neighbours at night if people were dragging suitcases around. Only one small unlined bin in the bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views from our room, very clean, state of the art sauna area with 2 saunas, steam room, infrared room, water beds and relaxation area, well stocked kitchen, functional cooking area. some UK TV for our kids! children loved that the housekeepers arranged their teddies differently each day for fun! hotel short walk from the slopes, easy ski in and out, good ski locker facilities by hotel entrance.
Cons: local information in the hotel reception area and hotel room was lacking. ie local attractions for children, (swimming pool Solden), bus times, other tourist attractions, local restaurant guide (as no dinner served at hotel) Also signage about breakfast times and prices had we wanted to partake. On check in we weren't shown to room. Rules for sauna in English would also be helpful. Also info about whole village power outage in English and communicated in the morning would've aided meal planning for that night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and quiet
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very good value and did everything we needed - we would definitely stay again. The sauna/spa area is truly 5 star and free use.
Cons: No bad points at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The spa was beautiful and perfect after a day's skiing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent: 1 minute from de slopes. We recommend the hotel! We did already many hotels in Obergurgl, but this one was the most tastefull decorated of all. Its a hotel runed by the owners. They are very envolved and very kind. The spa was really amasing: big, beautiful an spacy! The breakfast was really good and het homemade muesli is extraordinarily. The coffee was very special: made on each table!
Cons: If we have something to say that is less good, it should be the bathroom. Mayby it could be more recent, but it was very practical and clean.

Cons: The room was too hot and the duvet was far too thick.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Best afternoon tea we have ever had in a ski resort. Great spa facilities. excellent food. Esther, our waitress was fantastic.
Cons: Nothing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent as was the service. Very smart restaurant which felt like fine dinning every night. It did not feel like mass catering with linen and silver service. Evening meals where very different every night consisting of a large buffet followed by three more courses all excellent. Breakfast was just as good with everything you could want eggs and omelettes cooked in front of you to your liking. If you were back in time after skiing there was also cakes in the afternoon. Our room was modern well equipped ,warm and spacious. The front desk staff were very helpful and did everything they could to make sure we were happy. The location for Skiing couldn't have been better. The ski hire shop, ski storage area and the first lift are virtually on site. You collect your skis, walk through the shop out the door and you are at the lift station- couldn't be better.
Cons: The hotel has a great sauna, swimming pool, steam room and relaxation area but much of it is NUDE ONLY. Such a shame as it is really lovely area. The sauna for us modest people was not working so we missed out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best resort (ski to door) ever. Wife and I can't wait to go back. Staff makes you feel like family. Best food , drinks and spa in Austria.
Cons: Seriously there was nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect.

Pros: Superb location next to Festkogel ski lift. Ski store in hotel. Lovely spa and swimming pools. Good food and wine card. Only minus is the worthless wifi.(free)

Pros: Super nice staff (it is a family business and we felt homey there). Very good food (both breakfast and dinner). Comfortable bed with nice covers and sheets. Good location.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: - Great location clouse the slopes - very nice staff - parking by the hotel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Food, people, warmth
Cons: A small gym will make it complete
6.3 Good
Pros: The ski in/out facilities were good and the reception staff were friendly.
Cons: We found the food in the restaurant variable. At times it was inedible. The occasional dish was ok. The dinner was advertised as being “six courses”, but it was actually three courses with a pretty disappointing buffet. They also, outrageously, charge €4.80 for tap water. We asked about this and were told this was because the tap water is a service. Definitely an expensive one! After this, the staff involved almost entirely ignored us and we had to ask for each one of our courses to be brought to us. If booking, i’d suggest eating out for your evening meal!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all amazing. The hotel is beautiful. Location to ski in and ski out is perfect. Food excellent. Spa area excellent.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really convenient ski in ski out hotel .. really comfortable, friendly and great food . Smart modern bedrooms.
Cons: Slightly old fashioned (traditional Alpine) style in the lounges and restaurant . But probably suits older clientele.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Alpenland is a very nice hotel, with really good dinner and breakfast, very friendly and forthcoming owners and staff and in a great location in Obergurgl. It is directly next to the hiking trails (and to the skiing in winter) and it has all facilities needed. We really felt very much at home, even if we could only stay shortly. The hotel can for sure be recommended.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Well appointed room. Convenient for ski in / out. Good breakfast and dinner. Sauna / steam room good. 20 minutes to Solden. 90 minutes toInnsbruck.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has just been redeveloped extremely successfully. Everything has been done with great care and to an extremely high standard. The location is wonderful for skiers - and you can genuinely ski right up to the boot room. The family owners run the hotel with great efficiency and are extremely good hosts.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: The whole thing was excellent. We have been to others in the vicinity and this had a more homely feel to it. As they say "small is beautiful".
Cons: Difficult to be critical when everything was so good. Getting off the piste was slightly more difficult than we had experienced before, but no real problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel with great staff, facilities and wonderful food. Location brilliant!
Cons: Only very slight criticism, the views from our superior double room were very limited!

Pros: all you could ask for and more
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The waiter was excellent and housekeeping were superb.
Cons: The nightclub, you can not sleep between 11:30PM - 3:00AM. This is the only reason we would not go back to this hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The waiting staff were excellent, particularly our waiter Laszlo he was very friendly and extremely polite. He made excellent recommendations for the wine each evening and always had a smile on his face.
Cons: The noise from the Josl Keller below it would go into the very early hours most nights and you couldn’t have the windows open. The rooms were very warm at night, so it would be preferable to have the window open, even so you could still hear the noise from outside.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy ,great spa when not skiing ,good food with great service ,would go again
Cons: Only had one problem ,when booking lift pass the lady on the desk booked for six days as we asked but the day she had booked was the day we got there and never hit the slopes till 3-00 which was supposed to be complementary so on last day our passes were void and we had to spend another £55 each . she apoligised but to no avail .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food is really good. From breakfast to dinner - great value for money. The location is great. You just put on your boots in the skiroom and walk to the nearest skilift. Most of the staff are extremely friendly and all make sure that they pay special attention to details and needs. From the kitchen staff to the gentlemen that park the cars. They really go the extra mile!
Cons: This will really be nitpicking, but some guests were very loud in the bar area, making it difficult to relax for other guests. I wanted a quiet drink but it felt like I was at some wild party. It did not carry on till late, so it is not so much of an issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities, service and location were outstanding. I would definitely go back.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like at this hotel. It was exceptional.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great swimming pool on the roof with a View at skislopes and perfect 2 floor wellness, very good cuisine, perfect location beside slopes.....
Cons: Small bed.....

9.6 Excellent
Pros: In one sentence about the property, I can say it was one of the most cleanest properties I have ever been to! And this was not only about the room, but all of the entire property. We really enjoyed the breakfast, with a nice selection of tastes!
Cons: The location was a bit far to reach from the main Autobahn, since the road to the property is quite mountainous, but the region has lots for you to do!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, good location being short walk to the priest. Nice apartment for group of 3 with balcony. Would highly reccommend
Cons: Nothing. Very good value, and fresh rolls delivered daily. Nice sauna facilities
8.0 Excellent
Pros: sauna and wellness area was nice and mostly empty, house located close to the slopes, easy check out, nice breakfast
Cons: the house is not ski to door (although not far away from the slope) - more like ski to door for freeriders
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very quiet location, great views of the snow-covered mountains modern decor, comfy beds, well-equipped and very clean room
Cons: Not a criticism in any way, but be aware there isn't much going on in Obergurgl out of season (most places are closed)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast.
Cons: Long walk up hill from center.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The host was very welcoming, the staff were attentive, the accommodation was spotlessly clean throughout our stay and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. The beds were comfy and the location was perfect for our walking holiday.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike about this property.

6.7 Good
Pros: Cozy and clean.
Cons: Wish to have an indoor pool.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excelent food, great hotel staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everuthin was really good, we spent a marvelous few days here. One of best hotel where we spent time.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and well maintained, if a little dated compared with other Obergurgle hotels. The room was comfortable and the maid service very good. The dining room was also clean and efficiently run.
Cons: Honestly, it felt like the owners would rather be doing something else. I felt rather sad for them as they did their jobs properly but it was all rather joyless and this seemed to rub off on their staff. A short walk across the road to another hotel opened up a whole new world of friendly hospitality. A small thing, but to be charged 4 euros for a bottle of tap water at dinner is outrageous, particularly when paid-for drinks are on the table too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous food, great location, warm and friendly staff, large, comfortable room
Cons: Nothing at all

Pros: Great location, can ski back to just across the road. Also ski bus stop just next to the property, bus comes every 10 mins in both directions for Hochgurgl or the short ride to centre of Obergurgl. Accommodation was beautiful, fantastic showers and lovely sauna spa area. All brand new & spotlessly clean. Lots of lovely details. The apartment was perfect for us and our 7 year old son with lots of space. Andrea & Martin couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful & the breakfast was the perfect start to a day on the slopes. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts Sandra and Gabriel were extremely friendly and made us feel so welcome. The cleanliness everywhere in the accommodation was of the highest standard possible.
Cons: We had to leave.
6.3 Good
Pros: Room smelt of cigarette smoke. No areas to relax - more of a guest house than hotel. Expensive in comparison to neighbouring hotels with similar facilities. Also charged more for breakfast than should. Very pleasant and warm owner, who gave a lovely welcome,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was the best apartment we have ever stayed in on our many trips. Spacious, clean, everything working. It was basically brand new and equipped to a very high standard. Even the bathroom was 10/10 with everything working. Very pleasant and helpful host. Accessible ski room. The beds were nice and soft; unlike nearly all hotel beds. Great views. You could ski more or less all the way to the hotel from the #6 run.
Cons: Can't think of anything. The price was fairly high, though we have paid even more at hotels in ski resorts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sandra and Gabriel are excellent, friendly hosts. The guesthouse is immaculate, Ski and boot facilities well laid out, close to ski slopes, rooms extremely comfortable and well cleaned. Great value for money.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, a stones throw from the chairlifts. The bar and terrace was lovely to sit and enjoy the sunshine! Dinner was fantastic and the choice was great! Couldn’t fault the hotel at all!!
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is the best in Obergurgl. The staff were very friendly.
Cons: Only complaint was an unpleasant smell from our bathroom ventilation.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, ski cabins just across the street, supermarket in two steps. Very good breakfast, tasty dinners. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms
Cons: It was very hot in the rooms and in the restaurant. Our room faced the street and it was impossible to keep the balcony door open as it was very noisy during the day because of the music from apre ski bar and early in the morning because of street cleaning machines. Very uncomfortable pillows. No food for kids even porridge in the morning.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The closeness to the ski lifts. The cleanliness of the hotel was also good.
Cons: The food wasn’t great, not a lot of choice and very repetitive. The communication from the staff over ordering food, which apparently you are meant to decide on the night before (which is not easy as how do you know what you want to eat the following day!), but we were never told this. Then we were told on the day before we left in a rather unpleasant manner, that we hadn’t been doing this all week. Although we pointed out that we had not been told to do this, it was obvious that they were unhappy that we hadn’t. We would only stay for room and possibly breakfast (although this wasn’t appealing either), as their are much nicer places to eat and probably cheaper too.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: rich breakfast / dinner (for 3*) wi-fi location next to the lift / ski slope well organized reception desk / helpful staff
Cons: difficult parking (not enough slots / narrow slots) restaurant staff nice, but obviously not trained as waiters for 3* a bit overpriced (but might be because of the peak season)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly and us feel very wellcome
Cons: right in the centra so all things at hand

7.9 Good
Pros: big choice. Fresh eggs.Good teas
Cons: neigbor smoking in the balcony (not the hotel's fault)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, excellent service and food
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place, right next to the slopes with very friendly staff and good cuisine. The rooms are of excellent quality, furnished with a lot of wood, thus creating a warm atmosphere. After skiing you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon in the spa or take a few drinks on the sunny terrace. The staff speaks English, German and Dutch.
Cons: At several occasions it appeared to me that the hotel was generally rather understaffed. It was never a serious problem but it shouldn't be the case that you have to go and look for staff at a four star hotel. The internet connection is terrible. Not a place if you need to download a lot of data for your daily business. But then... I didn't really go there for business and it helped me to switch off and relax!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: food was very good, nice and professional staff
Cons: only 2 showers in the spa, bedroom and balcony were sub standard. Bathroom was modernized and adequate (room 403)
