Large common area with huge floor-length windows onto the small street outside. Parisian windows and balcony onto the street from every room. Power socket for every bed. A small kitchen with electric stovetops and small fridge. In-house laundry available. And there's a little basement gym (!!) for free use. A Franprix (supermarket) is literally a wall away. A 2min walk to metro Anvers station, and quite some bars and restaurants nearby.
The WiFi was noticeably slow.
The location between Gare du Nord and Montmartre is quite convenient.
The hostel is run by what seems to be a Russian mafia, so expect to be handled roughly (the French front desk guy was quite friendly though). The property is dirty, poorly-furnished and poorly-maintained (sofa in the lounge area was broken, USB plugs by the bed do not work, not even a soap dispenser in the bathroom, stained carpet and blanket in the room… Could be great, sadly isn't.
The staff is excellent. Kindly, with smile, pleasant. You have a shared living room with a kitchen that you can use and you can store food in the fridge. The rooms have a toilet and a bathroom, but you also have a "shared" toilet and a bathroom that is extremely clean, with complete privacy. Wi-fi is great. The beds are upstairs but with each bed you have a lamp, a power outlet and connectors (not a cable) for the phone chargers. Location great, right below Montmartre and very close to 2 metro stations so you can easily get anywhere you want.
The rooms are cleaned regularly, but the paths in the rooms and the mattresses on the bed could be a little better cleaned.
Room 9-10 squares, two 2-level beds, there is a balcony, washbasin and toilet shower in the room. The shower cabin is very small, a person with a dense full set will be cramped. In general, I am very pleased with this hostel. Convenient kitchen area - dining room, living room. Very practical and comfortable.
It's a pity there is no parking.
Nice balcony with Street view
Two mattresses instead one kingsize Shabby walls pait
