Pros: Loved the friendly atmosphere here and free rentals - didn’t need to pack so much! Fee drinks and ramen was nice although only went the once and late check out costs £5 extra -which is ok I guess . Location is on point.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Like all the freebies that they offer like unlimited free ramen & unlimited alcohol, beer at night, a lot of free drinks, including alcoholic ones from the fridge in the room, unlimited tea, coffee. carbonated drinks, hot ginger drink and cultural activities. Appreciated their generosity in serving us.
Cons: Asked for a higher floor but wasn't given one. No wardrobe. Room was quite small, so had to adjust accordingly.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly, activities were fun! The free beverages daily was great! Also the ramen and beer at the end of the day was a great idea!
Cons: Too many China tourists and their behaviour was terrible. Hogging the massage chairs, speaking loudly, shouting in the hallways, etc. Wasn't the hotel's fault but maybe need to limit the number of these China tourists in the hotel.

The housekeeping staff has done an excellent job. Pros: Amazing breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and helpful staffs
Cons: Room is a bit small but this is japan.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at The Flag hotel was perfect. The location is excellent and you are right in the centre of the bars and restaurants with Dotonburi just a few streets away. The hotel itself is really modern and funky. The rooms are very comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay. There were certain little touches that they had thought of such as supplying a smartphone that we could take out with us. This was really helpful for looking up locations of restaurants or getting directions while out and about as wifi was not available everywhere. The breakfast selection was huge and every taste catered for. There was also a lounge area and library where there was a coffee machine and books to borrow. This was particularly useful for us as we had a late-night train booked and were able to use the facilities of the hotel after we checked out. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Osaka.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Relatively cheap Spacious Lovely staff Has coin washing machine Lawson right next to hotel
Cons: If you need a base in Osaka, this is not the most convenient (e.g. need to change once to get to Osaka and twice to get to Shin-Osaka) but it is certainly has awesome comfort to cost ratio.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, spacious and clean rooms, good service!
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was such a great place to stay and easy walk to universal studios . It’s was great being able to wash clothes too. Easy to get to and from train as well .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and spacious
Cons: Close to the park
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great facility, close to USJ and shopping mall. Hotel managed to help us to avoid moving room and offered us baby diaper box. Perfect experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is a spectacular place to stay at! 10 out of 10! The rooms are huge, bathrooms are split into a toilet room, double sink room, and a huge tub in japanese style shower room. Toilet room has an motion detector for the lights going on and toilet lid opening. Great for the kids going to use it at night. Great location for USJ, the mall, train station and boat ferry to the aquarium. My wife and kids loved the stay here. The staff is friendly and plentiful. The hotel was decorated with a minion theme. There is a “conbini” Lawsons on the bottom floor that is connected to the hotel with a room key access door. This came in handy compared to the crowded ones across the street in USJ mall. Only regret was not having a chance to try the hotel breakfast since we were on a tight schedule to enjoy all of the the adjacent attractions.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very swift check in with super attentive and plentiful staff. Pleasant and tidy room, well appointed with excellent shower too.
Cons: Lack of adjoining rooms for separating kids/parents sleeping. No lobby bar.
Hotel 88 Shinsaibashi - Osaka - Hotel entrance

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the free drinks. Hope you can provide snacks as well. Location is great!
Cons: Hope there was a car from OCAT to hotel and vice versa
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The services & staffs, are very helpful, excellent. Good for family travels, we stay at main building. The hotel facilities - like luggage weight, cafe corner, massage chairs, laundry service. Especially for the staff who helped us to carry the luggage to airport bus station then found out all buses has been cancelled due to bad weather, and help us to take train instead. Please pass this message to them, thank you so much for their help, especially I came with an elderly & a kid.
Cons: Nothing at all
7.1 Good
Pros: clean, lots of places to eat around the hotel, there are facilities for heating food, there are facilities for drinking tea and coffee for free, i love the decoration in the lobby, very artistic
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent just 5 mins walk to tourist spots and Nambo train station. Room is clean and spacious. Bath room is excellent. Staff speaks very good English and provide good recommendations during staying. Also, there is a free drink bar provided for travellers a place to rest after a long day’s visit. The hotel also drive us to the luminous bus station which let us move smoothly to airport.
Cons: Can’t come up any.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was spacious, large queen size bed, and quiet. The staff were professional and polite. Checkin was efficient. The hotel was walking distance from Namba station and the Dotonbori riverside food and shopping activities. It’s functional travel accommodation.
Cons: We regretted booking this hotel because we had experienced Japanese style accommodation in Kyoto. Hotel 88 is in a City side-alley area, but it is walking to train and food. The Hotel was functional, but we think it was way-overpriced considering we stayed in the annex, and there was no restaurant, onsen, public bath.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location. The room is big and clean. Free drink and pool table is a plus!! Also free shuttle to airport bus terminal is super!!!
Cons: Should provide some girl things; face cleanser, lotion, bath salt etc.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The service provided by the hotel was excellent. The rooms are big and comfortable. It super near to the train stations which is underground. The underground itself is a shopping area and this underground leads you to different places like Kurumon market and Takashimaya. The eateries and convenient store is nearby. Dotonbori is just a stone's throw away. The free drinks provided at he lobby is really a nice touch. The furnishing at the lobby is gorgeous that is nice to lounge at the lobby.
Cons: There are no view from my room (maybe they do on the higher floor) which is fine with me as I spend more time at the lobby enjoying a cuppa and relishing the life in Osaka.

Pros: We stayed with 4 men in one room but the bath wasn’t for 4 people. We were slightly able to take bath together but would be happier if it was more easier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was excellent and a stone throw away from the station and Universal Studios. The staff went above and beyond and were very caring. They helped us get my injured husband to the nearest hospital and even called ahead for us so that we could be seen immediately. Breakfast and lunch buffet were good value for money. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely come back to the place.

Pros: Perfect location right next to Universal Studios with great views on both sides from most rooms. Excellent staff. The check-in and check-out process was great. The Jurassic Park feel at the front is well done.
Cons: Distance from Shin Osaka station isn't great but we knew that in advance. All in all a good hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean! And very close to universal studios and very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: The beds were not comfortable at all, especially the pillows. Would wake up with a back ache everytime.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s big and comfortable. Most importantly it’s very clean and within walking distance to USJ.
Cons: The lifts were pretty slow.
7.7 Good
Pros: Hotel Universal Port is a nice modern hotel catered to families. The minute you walk in your are faced with all types of minion characters as part of the decoration. Our kids loved it. They also have special Minion rooms which we did not know about ahead of time. Staff was professional and attentive. One of the few hotels we could find that could accommodate four people in a room.
Cons: Breakfast buffet was ok. Very little western food. We expected an omelet ststion but they didn't have one. An abundance of Asian food. location of the hotel is out of the way from the center of Osaka so takes a couple of trains to get to Dotonbori but you get used to it.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean facilities and friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: You couldn't get any closer to Universal Studios and the staff were so amazingly helpful they went above and beyond. Beautifully rooms, beautiful hotel, great food and a touch of luxury. Thank you.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: When you arrive at Universal City, you simply have exit the station and you are less than a minute from the hotel. Then to make it better, you are just across the from the park. Food, staff, and area were great. Bed a little hard, it is to be expected. Very easy to get to the aquarium and huge ferris wheel (only 10 mintues by ferry, which is across the street). Truly enjoyed the hotel and because of this, we were able to enjoy our time in Osaka.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Close to USJ. The outside and lobby of the hotel. Restaurants were available in the hotel and nearby.
Cons: My city view room had a view of a hedge. There was this nasty stained chaise lounge thing in the room that served no purpose. The spot the chaise was in would be better served by putting a table and chairs in its place. Staff was unfriendly and not helpful.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The location can't be beat if Universal Studios is your destination. It is also right next to the Universal City train station. The lobby is grand and swanky - reminded me of the recent Great Gatsby film. You can buy your Universal Studios tickets and Express Passes at a desk in the lobby. We were not able to check in early, but they did hold our bags, and even delivered them to the room when we came back at check-in time.
Cons: The breakfast buffet is expensive; it is not included in the room price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about this hotel. It is in a fantastic location. So easy to get to Universal in the morning. It has fabulous shops and food eateries nearby and the rooms are massive. We were so grateful to be upgraded. We loved our stay here.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to Universal-city station and park entrance Large rooms with separate toilet and shower/bath Onsite laundromat was great Lots of dining options nearby including convenience stores cafes and restaurants Only short train ride to Osaka station
Cons: Decor in foyer was a bit OTT It was supposedly New York Art Deco style but had too much black and gold and chandeliers Found style a bit oppressive for a theme park hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to USJ restaurants, and train service. Room with view was fabulous.
Cons: Milk in the fridge or powder milk in fridge/ room
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Best hotel to stay at when visiting Universal Studios
Cons: The smoke coming from the smoking lounge gets into the elevators.

Cons: Like everywhere in Japan, you feel the best rooms and tables are given to Japanese patrons.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good service
Cons: The breakfast wasn’t up to standard
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a luxury class property that still manages to exceed expectations, mostly due to the professional and attentive staff. Every single staff member we encountered performs at a very high level. The rooms, view, and facilities are absolutely first class. We were there for my wife's birthday and they made every encounter special. We also enjoyed the piano bar and playing of Walter Clark. Additionally, we had one of our greatest culinary experiences at La Baie with Chef Gilbert and his super staff. Michelin is sleeping if La Baie only has one star.
Cons: Absolutely nothing not to like. "It's only money and you can't take it with you" :)
7.4 Good
Pros: concierge is very good
Cons: no welcome fruits, nobody helping to open heavy entrance door, poor choices for breakfast. At least for New Year they could do something nicer for breakfast.

Pros: Beautiful, comfortable hotel with stunning views and lovely facilities. Rooms were comfortable and the pool/spa area was nice and relaxing. Great gym.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Definitely the most luxurious hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything about this hotel made me speechless. The staff here know what 5 star luxury is. The executive lounge and swimming pool alone would make me come back.
Cons: I think the 1,500 yen for just sitting in the Sky lounge bar at night was uncalled for. I had a 2 drinks earlier on in the day and there was no charge. The service was actually better during the day if I'm honest. There was a 40 minute wait on cocktails, and the staff were under pressure and couldn't keep up, glasses were even broke around guests. Don't see how this makes sense? When cocktail are 3,600 yen there should be no extra charges, especially for executive lounge guests.

Pros: The location is very good, you’ll see LV hugo boss apple store balenciaga and many more around the hotel. The staff are very helpful and always smile. You just need to walk to get to the glico sign..
Cons: A bit difficult to find the lobby hotel if you come from MRT station because once you enter the glass door, all you’ll find are just the fancy restaurants and shops just like a mall and there’s no direction where’s the lobby hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I got a lot more than I paid for at Hotel Nikko. The room was comfy with great dimmable lighting, quiet AC, and clean. The staff was incredibly helpful- carrying shopping loot all the way from my taxi to my room, and generally available for any questions I had for them.
Cons: One pet peeve: a power outlet closer to the bed would have been nice, but this was not a problem.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Truly the best hotel I have stayed out in a long time. Centrally located, amazing amenities and wonderful staff. The fitness center and spa is a must stop.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all - horrible experience!
Cons: Firstly I was imposed a “security” deposit which was not imposed on my friend checking in at the same time. I fail to understand the discrimination. Let aside the fact that their payment machines did not accept my bank cards (which were accepted at all other places across Japan and at other prestigious hotels!) Secondly, the reception staff could not even express themselves failing to communicate about services at the so-called 5star hotel.. no idea which restaurant where, which lift.. the building is a maze! Thirdly, travel desk communicated a taxi fare of 5400 which actually ended up costing me more than 15,000!!! No - do not blame it on the traffic, blame it on incompetence & poor customer service. Fourth, I was refused a flexible/late check out despite they had rooms available- so being a high level booking.com member did not help. Fifth, I ended up dragging my suitcases around to the airport to only find out that they have payable services that assist with luggage transfer to the airport which they did not bother to even communicate despite the fact that I kept asking for best options to check out... Lastly, it was my 4th & last hotel in Japan, the most expensive one and the most disappointing one - I felt insulted for the first and last time in Japan (in a 8 days/4 cities stay) at this hotel due to its staff. Yeah, blame it on the back of xmas and busy time now!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel!! Ambiance, smiles, services were excellent.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very hospitable staff, excellent breakfast - many choices, Japanese and western buffet. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great view of the city from the room. Automatic lights and curtains console was convenient and fun. Beautiful hotel !
Cons: It is a bit away from the action, but a short walk to the various forms of public transport so not a big deal. The free shuttle from the Osaka jr station is a bit hard to find. Clearer instructions on getting to the proper gate and where to wait could be updated on the booking.com website. Otherwise the shuttle is very useful and good service!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room with amazing views. Shuttle bus into Osaka and back a real plus. Peaceful atmosphere.
Cons: Breakfast expensive.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Very beautifully decorated with decent amount of space
Cons: Would loved to have had a small gym to burn off all the amazing food I’ve been eating in Japan.

Pros: Room was clean, well-appointed and had a great view of the river. Easy to get to by metro but a bit removed from the madness of Namba/Dotonburi
Cons: Room too small for a couple with two medium-sized suitcases

Cons: Resturant on 2nd floor serves very good food, but staff not really comfortable with English only speakers! Otherwise outstanding!

Pros: the bedroom is very big!!! there is no problem if you travel with some big suitcases!! the hotel is very quiet and very well equipped, the bathtub is great !!!
Cons: nothing...except maybe the restaurant nearby the hotel...poor quality ...tasteless yet expensive...about the location of the hotel if you come by train , just be aware that you will have a walk quiet a bit...the hotel is a bit far away from the station
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were absolutely excellent. Modern, excellent quality and extremely spacious compared to normal hotel rooms. Free parking at Hyatt next door is a plus if you have a car considering this is usually a costly addition in other Osaka hotels.
Cons: Slightly away from the action in a still developing business / conference centre area but well connected by free shuttles and public transport. Lobby and reception area a little underwhelming not befitting the excellent room quality and standards which were easily 4 star + and very very spacious for Osaka hotels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We got a really good rate for our one night stay in Osaka. The hotel is easy to reach by Metro (not a central hotel but close to Universal Studios and Aquarium). Comfort level was excellent. Early morning drop-off to the Metro station was welcome.

Cons: None

Pros: everything was clean. location is great
Cons: staff not able to speak English. Forced me to pay in cash when I've been asking if credit card is ok - he said no, only to find out later that I can!!
7.9 Good
Pros: Maybe the best hotel in Sakaihigashi area. Compared to Agora, it is much cheaper but never inferior. Of course it is a small hotel.
Cons: Breakfast is relatively expensive. Everyday small deviation.
7.1 Good
Pros: it's convenient location for a short stay if you're around this area. you can find shops and restaurants within a short walk. Ice cream on breakfast makes your day.
Cons: Reception disappointed this time a lot. First they they charged me 1000 yen for arriving 20 minutes earlier. Although the breakfast was booked, they then forgot to provide a voucher which caused a problem next morning.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: 'Love Hotel' rooms are a very good alternative way for a very comfortable stay in Japan, because they are very spacious and well equipped, e.g. good acoustic insulation, super size bed, huge private bathroom, often including a whirlpool etc. (actually over-equippied, e.g. with even a karaoke system, gaming machine and high-tech light(show) system, which is not easy to handle since the instruction for the many light and air condition switches is only in Japanese). But the staff is very friendly and helpful, even that hardly speaking English. The hotel is located at half-way between Kansai airport and central Osaka, just a few minutes to walk from local Nankai line Ishizugawa station. In and near the train station there are some 24-hour convenience stores, retaurants and shops. Direct (local) train connections to Namba Station in central Osaka every 20 minutes, and the famous Sumiyoshi taisha (grand shrine) can be reached easiest just after 5 train stops in the direction to Namba Station.
7.5 Good
Pros: close to convenience store and restores
Cons: no microwave in the room , there is a sofa there remove the sofa cushions you can see not clean stuff, i cannot pick a room i want
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge bed, jacuzzi, TV in the bathroom, enormous room and extremely comfortable and seemed very clean. Some people might be put off by the fact that it's an adult (sex) hotel, but I just thought it was amusing! It doesn't give off a seedy vibe at all and all of the facilities are excellent!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed, large room and bath
Cons: Tv channel selection poor, room had an outdated feel
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The biggest room I saw during all my trip in Japan! Very confortable and quiet. The price was very good. It's well located if you have to take the airport in the next morning.
Cons: Very poor Wifi. Could have been cleaner (especially the flood and table).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very Clean and not too far from Kansai airport
Cons: poker machine in room, bright lights
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a love hotel and we knew it beforehand. It was still special to have these extra "amenities", such as a slot machine and a money exchange machine in the room. It was clean and quite big. They also lend a cell phone in the room. We stayed there before going to airport, so the location was close to the train and the price was attractive.
Cons: Problems with the wifi, but we managed to use the cell phone that was available for free
