Pros: The staff was incredibly helpful and personable. The decor was beautiful and we loved our room (although I will try for room 421 next visit).
Cons: The housekeeper assigned to our room did not do a great job. When we arrived our floors were not well swept and she left an empty drink cup on the night stand.

Pros: The reservation and in-person chech-in procedures were very easy. The location was perfect. The valet took our car and we walked everywhere we went for the day. The room was very comfortable with a great view.

Pros: The room was beautiful and stylish. The bed was so big and soft, I had to literally roll out of it. The staff was incredibly courteous. The continental breakfast included in my package was unlike anything I had ever seen. So many wonderful food options, and all of it was delicious! I look forward to my next stay there.

Drinks & apps okay, then had a thirty minute wait for mains, of which a couple were dry to the point of being inedible. Two of us stayed in the bar after, and despite several patrons still being present, staff started putting stools up as if this was some dive bar. Not at all what is expected from a top-rated hotel.

Cons: Never replace our shower ropes during our 5 days stay. The bathroom floor is not clean. The mattress and pillows are way to soft and I sinked into the matress. Every morning the staff will keep banging and closing the doors for supply closest and every room while they clean . It's extremely rude and unprofessional.

Pros: The staff are great. The location is also great. The complimentary beverages (not the alcohol) were a nice feature. The terrace with pool and fire pit is nice. I would definitely stay there again.

Pros: The location was great for exploring Savannah, many attractions are within walking distance as well as a trolly pick up location across the street. We were able to check in early which was nice to get settled into early in the day. The amenities in the room were great, having a mini fridge and safe are always a plus. Staff was all very polite and welcoming. The front desk was able to hold our bags at check-out until we left for our flight.
Cons: To be honest there wasn't anything I did not like. If I had to nitpick only one elevator was available due to renovations going on. Of course, single elevator access due to winter renovations are minor in my book because they did not cause much of a disturbance and it was the slow time of year which is when these type of renovations usually occur.

Pros: The room was great- historic and clean. The location was spot on being riverfront and convenient to everything in downtown Savannah. The valet Sam and Jim were awesome! They were so helpful and gave great recommendations for restaurants. Very friendly!!!!
Cons: Only thing I can say even slightly negative is the parking is a bit wonky due to the historic location. Valet is available and deff the easiest! Deck or street parking is available close by. I am familiar with savannah so I know this is a common issue there. Just have to know what you want to do.

We arrived around noon and was told the it was going to be several hours until the room was clean despite confirming through Kayak that my arrival would be between noon and one pm. They did accommodate my request for top floor, but could have cleaned a room and called as soon as it was ready.

Pros: I love the historic nature of the hotel. My room was very nice and I felt like I was staying in a room of a historic mansion. The bed turn down service with sweets left on your bed is a nice touch. Also enjoyed the wine and cheese reception in the lounge every evening.
Cons: No free parking. You have to park in public parking which costs $15 a day. Walls of rooms are very thin so you can hear every bump and bang in the rooms next to you. Was not impressed with the shower...the water pressure was not good.

Pros: This is my 6th time staying at the River Street Inn...every time I stay there, I love it even more. This was a last minute, one night trip and I got a great deal; I was even upgraded to a river view room! Normally I prefer modern hotels, however, I love the charm, character and history of the River Street Inn. The rooms are clean and comfy and the staff is always friendly! You can't beat the location of RSI, just park your car and walk everywhere. I love the chocolate candy they put on your pillows every night and the wine and cheese social in the evenings is an added bonus! (my stay this weekend was on a Sunday, so I didn't get that perk...wish it was EVERY evening)I have stayed at several other hotels in Savannah in the past, and now there is nowhere else I'll stay except for the River Street Inn. Thank you for another GREAT experience this past Sunday y'all!

Pros: Thus hotel was close to everything. The historic atmosphere and tastefully finished rooms and period style decor was easy on the eyes. It feels like you are part of this lovely southern city. Convenient and xcellent restaurants, friendly service, reasonable rates, gorgeous. It's and comfortable clean rooms. What more could you want? Oh, and a lovely gratis private cocktail hour with wine, cheese, quail and more made dinner unnecessary!

Cons: We were very surprised and disappointed to learn they would not accept our three night stay toward our Hyatt points as a preferred customer because we book through a third-party. RIDICULOUS!!! Apparently the $825 we spent wasn't appreciated. No where on our on-line reservation did it tell us that, in fact, it asked us for our Hyatt Reward number! We stayed there this time to get our points. Had we known this we would have stayed at one of the historic B&Bs. They'll be hearing from us.

The bartender Sunday night wasn’t as friendly with as much personality as a piece of ice. The hotel is in an excellent location offering availability to the river, dining and shopping.

Was a great distance from River St. Though I had some issues, they were miniscule compared to the location, comfort of the room, and the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Asked for the air to be on and room to be cold upon arrival. Air was not on like I requested. Room was warm. Adjisted the air to my liking then left the room to tour savannah. Did not realize until after walking River St. then comimg back to the room that the a/c was not operating properly. The shower door was broken upon arrival and had to call the front desk to have it fixed. Maintenance showed up quickly to fix the situation. Also requested a quiet room due to the fact we were travelling with a 2 yr old. My room was next to the maintenance/cleaning closet and service elevator. Due to constant flow of people coming and going next to our door it was hard to get my child rest comfortably.

upon arrive, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean but very basic; the room was humid but we thought nothing of it since most hotels only use the fan when the room is unoccupied- we turned on the air- medium then went to bed. The room never cooled, we turned the air on high and it still never cooled and the humidity remained very high (about like it was outside). The TV was out of color and the shower curtain would not stay closed- or open to one side, the rod was bent and the curtain now hangs over the toilet. I felt these MIGHT be excusable until I asked about checking out early because we were unable to sleep due to the high humidity and warm temp in the room. The front desk apologized and questioned why I didn't have engineering come fix it last night (I assume she must have felt it wasn't that bad if I didn't complain sooner) I was told I would have to pay a early cancellation fee. I then informed her about the vomit in the elevator when she explained it has been there all night. When I asked her to repeat that, she said ""well, it's been there for about two hours, we'll have house keeping clean it up when they arrive in about an hour."" I don't know about you but I can understand equipment failing but for someone to have an attitude like that- it's too gross for me to clean up but my guess can put up with it... that is not a hotel I care to stay at nor my customers or co-workers/management. Think about that next time you plan to book there.

Pros: Pretty room, cool shower, comfy bed. I stayed here one night for business and was able to walk to a great restaurant downtown to meet my clients. After driving around downtown a few times I decided that the Hampton Inn and Staybridge Suites looked like a slightly better location.
Cons: I can't really complain with only one night spent here. Actually I will say that the hotel did not mention a mandatory $25/night valet parking charge that I was hit with when I pulled up to the front door. That's annoying. Let me park my own damn car or tell me in advance.

Pros: The hotel and the room was beautiful. It looked as though the hotel had been through a recent renovation. Everything looked clean and new. The color scheme was very pretty; purple and gray. The room was nicely decorated, the bed, pillows and linens clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends. Close to the historic district and shopping.

Cons: We had to stay in a strange interior room with no real window or daylight. The wifi did not work and we racked up a lot of data use on our phone since we could not connect. They allow dogs to stay at what seems like a very nice hotel. It is disruptive to hear dogs barking when you are trying to relax. Also, as someone who is highly allergic it was hard to stay in a place with pets and dander. Had I known ahead of time that they allow pets, I would have likely picked a different hotel.

Pros: The hotel is in a wonderful location to explore both the River Front and the Historic District. The staff were extremely friendly and the free breakfast is great! Coffee and tea are available 24 hours, which was nice for us in February, it got quite cold at night so it was nice to come back from a long walk along the Riverfront and be able to have a decaf tea/coffee before bed to warm up. Also it is pet friendly! Next time, our dogs will definitely be coming with us. Savannah loves their pets, which was very cool to see!

Cons: They definitely need either a bigger pool or a second pool. With as many "pool days" as you get in Savannah, its reasonable to assume guests are for the most part going to take advantage of the pool. Its way too small for the size of the hotel, and there are no where near enough chairs. They also waste a lot of pool real estate on cabanas that they're trying to upsell...that could be more chairs. But even with more chairs the pool area is simply way too small for the capacity of the resort. Overall, upselling the cabana is reminiscent of their strategy...nickle and dime guests.

The pool was small but clean, and I loved that it was saltwater not chlorine. Overall disappointing stay. Our room was not ready at check in. When we finally got in, the room was subpar. The bathroom was missing a lightbulb, the hair dryer was broken and there was hair in the shower drain. Additionally, the room was in general disrepair: carpet tiles coming up, wallpaper peeling. Would not stay here again.

Cons: Major cons that ruined my entire stay would include the infestation of Insects in my room (ants) on the floors and walls. The front desk associate who overcharged my card two more times after I had already booked and paid for my room online. And me not getting the type of room I requested when I booked and paid online. Pros: Great location...beautiful old hotel with inside courtyard/atrium. Located close to shopping and restaurants and only a short drive from Bay Street and the Savannah Riverfront. Hotel offers complimentary breakfast and there is a fitness room, guest laundry services and a mini business center on each floor of the hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

Pros: I forgot my wallet and didn't realize it until I was in Savannah (3 hours from where I live!). I was freaked out and thought I would have to leave and come back. But bc I had prepaid and had official papers (just not picture ID), the check in staff was great at getting me in and set up. Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast and fitness room.
Cons: The little room fridge kept freezing everything. Some of the bathroom fixtures were dated.

Cons: They could not find our reservation at first, but after 10 minutes it appeared. Then they weren't sure they could get us into 2 queen room, but they eventually found one. I think they were all still learning the system, they had only been open for 2 weeks.

Pros: The two young ladies that manned the front desk, one the night we checked in, and the other the morning we checked out, were both very pleasant.
Cons: The location, pretty shady looking and run down area. Near the train tracks, heard the train horns all night long. The SMELL! (Located near a paper pulp mill). The room itself was bland, it was hot and humid in the room to the point that we could not comfortably fall asleep for a couple of hours. They had not turned down the AC in our room even though we had made a reservation. The room had a weird odor. All in all, not a pleasant experience. We left as soon as we got ourselves together.

Pros: The price was good for the size of the rooms you get. Very spacey. The staff were all extremely friendly. They baked fresh cookies every night for the guests as well.

The hotel itself was nice appearing but the surrounding area was run down and did not seem to be in a good location (however hotel is only.minutes away from the historic district which was nice). Only other issue was that another guest seemed to be smoking marijuana and the entire hallway smelled of it for two days. I heard other guests complain but nothing was really ever done about it and those guests smoked up until they checked out in that hotel room.

Pros: This is the second time i have stayed at this location. The customer service is friendly. The rooms are very clean and updated. The location is perfect for vacationing in savannah. It is 15 minutes away from down town and 25 minute from the beach. Great restaurants and shopping very close.

Pros: It was very nice to have a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker . Nice pillows and air conditioner worked well. Good parking. The breakfast area was also nice.

Pros: This was my first time staying in Savannah somewhere that wasn't off the interstate, and it was nice to drive through Savannah to get to the hotel. It made it feel closer to downtown even tho it's about a 20 minute drive. It's a good value hotel that gives you everything you need if you're a budget traveler.
Cons: It would be nice if they somehow let you know that the first two floors have outside doors and the third floor has inside corridors. Luckily, I was put on the third floor, as I vastly prefer inside corridors, but some people might like to know. The only other thing is that the coffee is permanently in the lobby, which is nice, but I couldn't find it at breakfast in the morning. Might be nice if they put up a little note telling you it's available in the next room.

Apparently if you have do not disturb on the door when maids begin working on rooms (not sure when) they don't come back, we left by 9:30 each morning. Breakfast space fitting approximately 20 people filled by two tour buses as well as all other rooms, 100+. Small room, old and dingy. Never again!
