10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing host and fab room size. The breakfast was 5* and cooked fresh to order with perfect poached eggs. Great value for money too
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This B&B is the best one we have ever stayed in. It's set in its own farmland and so quiet if you wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy town or city for a few days or longer. The rooms are large with plenty of storage space and spotlessly clean, with ours having a balcony which was a bonus as the weather was beautiful during our stay so we could take full advantage of it. There is also a guests' own sitting room which is nice. The host Rebecca gives you a very warm welcome on your arrival. She is very friendly and will help you with all your requirements and information where possible should you need it. We stayed because we went to a wedding at Hawkestone Hall and there was no curfew as to what time we got back. The breakfast is superb with a selection of cereal, fresh fruit, nuts etc as well as a good choice of cooked breakfasts including a full English which was delicious, with fresh free range eggs from their own chickens. It is a well-oiled machine and we would definitely recommend The Moorhead Bed and Breakfast to anyone. We gave it 11/10!
Cons: We have no complaints about this B&B.
10.0 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly we felt very welcome, and the hotel was lovely and warm
Cons: The breakfast was excellent, apart from one morning when the toast was brought to our table the minute we sat down. We hadn't even had our cereal/fruit so by the time we were ready for the toast it was cold. We were disappointed that the chamber maid wanted to give us clean towels after only 1 day, when the hotel encourages guests to re-use their towels and the message in the bathroom says they would only be replaced if they are in the bath.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The castle was amazing, and the staff really made the atmosphere alive. The meals were first class.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of the staff The beautiful decor of the rooms Fabulous breakfast Great location
Cons: Twin room was a little cold & small, however they did supply an oil heater too as this is an old property so it is to be expected.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great welcome for us and our dog. We upgraded but the room was a bit small and all surfaces seemed to be covered with literature. My only complaint was no gluten free bread for breakfast when they had so much warning including when we arrived. But the staff in the sister restaurant The Loopy Shrew were lovely and welcoming to us including our dog.

Pros: Very central setting. Welcoming owners.
Cons: Parking is an issue in the mornings
4.0 Okay
Pros: The bathroom tiles and the wifi
Cons: I found the brekfast staff unpleasant. It seemed as if he didn't want to be there - he keep banging the plates and cups about - in fact another breakfaster commented upon this. He was quite grumpy. Maybe he should look for a new job. The cleaning lady and the young girl were much nicer.
5.3 Okay
Pros: Good location, close to shops, restaurants and attractions but on a quiet(ish) road; easy to come and go when we wanted and a car park nearby.
Cons: Service a bit uninspired; certainly not the friendliest hotel we have stayed in. Decor a bit tired and old fashioned.
5.7 Okay
Pros: I only stayed one night, but my overall impression was of an efficiently run hotel.
Cons: There was nothing I disliked.
7.0 Good
Pros: Queit cozy place but within few minutes of town square. Family-run informality, excellent breakfast.
Cons: The breakfast window of 8-9 on a Sunday was too early, too short. The room cleaners also worked only till 11 on Sunday which was surprising.
6.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed. Lots of clean white towels. Interesting old building. Handy for river.
Cons: Noisy (near building site and pubs). Instant coffee with breakfast. Lots of stairs to climb with suitcase. Overpowering "air fresheners". No thermostat on radiator. Owner not particularly friendly.

Cons: Not having parking was the only downside.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious, quality of food high and service was great. Grand Tudor hall to dine in! Location was excellent for visiting the abbey, castle and all the churches and for Christmas shopping. A great variety of places to eat. Evening meal, wine and service was superb. Lovely local walks by the river and through Victoria park. Station ideally situated and only an hour from Birmingham. The room we stayed in - The Lime room - is spacious and great for a three night stay with a big kitchen area and sitting area. There's a fridge and washing machine and as much tea, coffee, biscuits as you like, filled up every day and available complimentary at the bar if you are staying. There wasn't any cutlery or crockery in the kitchen which has many many cupboards! But we asked for some and it was supplied straight away. All the staff were very helpful and friendly which made for a lovely relaxed stay.
Cons: The cocktails were very disappointing, weak and watery. So we didn't get them again. And that was £18...I almost complained but I was there for my birthday and I was so thrilled with the place otherwise I didn't want to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was perfect and inside Our room was lovely and welcoming and all the staff could not do enough for us. The building had lots of charm Food was fabulous especially our lunch and evening meal
Cons: Our room overlooked the outside smoking area so would choice another room next time

Pros: Lovely suite and food extremely good
Cons: Prices in bar very high and varied with each identical round ! Bar also closes very " early" for residents

Pros: Everything. Brilliant b&b
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As described, well decorated very clean with the benefit of free car parking, so close to town. Would recommend and return again, thanks to the owners efforts. Wish you well for new year.
Cons: It's a very small pavement to access property from side street parking, to help guest s who now adays tend to use a suitcase which they pull. I would think if you kill the weeds which continue to twist and turn the case, located growing next to wall along path. It's only a small thing but after a great stay, all I could think to improve.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I've stayed here before and would do again. I think it is great value being in the town centre and part of a good pub with a reasonably priced menu and selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The bed was very comfortable and clean, the room was good, a nice TV with free biscuits, tea and coffee. Nice breakfast in the price too.
Cons: This wasn't a problem for me but others might like to know that the shower room wasn't very warm. Bear in mind that it is an old building. I imagine that it may be a tad cold in the winter months. I'm sure staff can help if asked.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good - all fresh and a high standard. Had an evening meal once during my 3 nght stay. Food was very good but perhaps a bit too pricey.
Cons: The snooker room and TV lounge looked as though it hadn't been used for a while. No evidence of the TV or the lounge as advertised at the top of the stair well.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Right in the centre of things but not noisy. Car was parked for us which was great as the one way system is not easy to navigate. Sherry on arrival which was a nice touch and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Hotel itself is quaint and quirky.
Cons: Room was very hot and heating couldn't be turned down. Room was quite small. The dining room is only small so we had to wait for breakfast even though we had pre booked a slot, but the it was New Year's day so a busy time.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice comfortable bed, clean room, adequate size , glass of sherry on arrival ,nice biscuits with the coffee in the room ,friendly staff, great location.
Cons: Rattling window kept us awake for the whole of the first night ! We weren't told about the breakfast procedures on booking in ! TV was in a fixed position which made it awkward to see from the seating area ! Very noisy extractor fan !
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Hotel manager is a bit racist

7.0 Good
Cons: Stair carpets need a clean!
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was spotlessly clean. It is in an ancient building so some of the original features make things like the staircases quirky to meet modern standards. The floors squeak but it just adds to the character, the windows have secondary glazing as the originals couldn't be changed to double glazing it would ruin the hotel but everything was done sympathetically to the building.
Cons: We couldn't turn the heating off in our room as the thermostat was stuck at 3 - this did make it very warm and as we were on the main road side keeping the window open to cool the room did cause noise, we reported the issue in the morning. The bar is tiny and the staff on reception were helpful if you asked the right question but didn't give great information straight away. We had to go out to eat as the bar and restaurant menus were very limited.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: TV was very very small
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was perfect as was close to the theatre digs my son was staying in - also close to shops/ restaurants/ cafes and station Bathroom was clean and beds were comfortable
Cons: It’s a bit tired - although bedroom had freshly painted walls the carpet and chairs were a bit threadbare
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff were nice and rooms were a good size
Cons: But their decor was dated and our room was at the front of the hotel which was on a busy main road

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Overall Brilliant:- Staff Bar & Public areas Cards and board games availability. Breakfast Room Boarded floor to our room an unusual decorative twist. Good shower. Unusually for town centre location, car Parking available; works well if slightly tight and at a cost £5.
Cons: Good stay in a hotel I would recommend.
6.0 Good
Pros: I wasn’t uncomfortable, staff were lovely place desperately needs an update it’s a little disrespectful to have tape across the carpets don’t you think?
