Pros: The most peaceful and relaxing place to stay close to Windhoek. The food was good and the woman who runs the place is very accomodating and friendly. She and her friends joined us at the dinner table and we were chatting for quite some time. Nice library and pool area, as the previous review said, the birds are nice to watch
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Eagle Rock is situated in a beautiful hilly landscape close to Windhoek. The place has a history for teaching young girls to become professional waitresses during the time when " Mr. Helmut's Schule" was active during the 1970th and 1980th . The school was later taken over by the Namibian government. The current manager of Eagle Rock is Ariane who manages the place with dedication and competence. If you plan to book a stay in this place you will not go wrong.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was great. Ariane took very well of us. We saw many animals while driving around in de surroundings of the lodge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere and hosts were friendly
Cons: Hot water was limited but it is understandable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What an experience, it is almost impossible to transfer to words. A business lodge situated a couple of km from Windhoek, while it may be the perfect venue for a conference or team outing, it was just as perfect for a short get-away. The manageress and staff were extremely friendly, and went out of their ways to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Upon arrival we took advantages of the king size bed, and caught up on some well-deserved sleep, after which we were treated with coffee and sweet treats. We all gathered after sunset for dinner - and what a mouthwatering experience. We were treated with smoked Zebra carpaccio and a green salad for a starter, main course was a game fillet, roasted potatoes, crazy ginger sweet potato, and dessert was a homemade vanilla and chocolate ice cream. What a meal, in the middle of nowhere. Before dinner we joined the manageress, her partner and permanent tenants around a table, sipping wine and sharing stories. After dinner, we joined around the fireplace to wind-down the evening. We woke up to warm coffee in-front of our room. Generally when staying on a lodge you are rushed the next morning to make breakfast, but at Eagle Rock you can sleep in and enjoy a homemade breakfast after 8. This was most certainly not our last stay.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was handy to the Airport, I ate at Joe's bar and its literally walking distance from there. The abolition facilities were spotlessly clean every time I used them. I travelled north for work and upon my return I decided to stay again. Lovely atmosphere it really is top notch and a great experience.
Cons: The breakfast was a little drab and often items were not available and for R80 it was a bit steep. I skipped it the second stay and went rather to a cafe up the rd.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere. The place is non-pretentious. It has a lovely traveler feel to it, and would appeal to the person who seeks out experience and variety more than luxury and comfort. The location is also extremely good!

Pros: The location first of all. The staff, especially Aina, were all good. The position on the top of the hill was refreshing. Closeness to Joe's Beerhouse, a must for a great evening out. A very welcoming place. Close to access to and from the airport.
Cons: The air conditioning unit was a little too noisy to run through the night.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, great location and security, staff were absolutely lovely and made our visit enjoyable. We stayed here our first night and our last night in Namibia and it was a pleasure to return to see everyone and know we would have a clean comfortable room.
5.4 Okay
Pros: I used to love staying over at Hilltop but since they’ve changed ownership they just not the same
Cons: No wifi in my room when I specified I’m travelling for work..the showers pressure not great, couldn’t set the water temperature, it was either too hot or too cold. I found a cockroach in my first room...
7.5 Good
Pros: Chama was delightful, and Toni was welcoming, polite and informative and could have smiled a bit more. It was close to Joe's Beerhouse which was a fun place to eat, and had a variety of options.
Cons: I had emailed the property beforehand to ask if there were vegan options for the breakfast and they had written back to confirm that vegan options were available and they had duly noted my request, however on arrival, they did not appear to have any understanding of vegan options for breakfast. I had written down for Toni all the options for food that they could serve me including tomatoes, mushrooms, lentils, chickpeas, soy milk, almond milk, etc. and was told that they would check. I came back a bit later, and Toni said they weren't sure if they would be able to provide the options for me ... so I told her I would go for breakfast elsewhere if they can't. Then later when I came back after a visit to town, she said they would have some options for me, but when I asked what they were she said toast and fruit and muesli. I asked do they have an alternative milk like the soy or almond? She said no just normal milk. I told her thanks but I will go for breakfast elsewhere. Then the next morning she came to my room to say breakfast was ready what time would i like it? and I said I thought we had discussed that i will go elsewhere. Then another staff came by and said they had fruit salad and a salad. Again, I said thank you for the effort but no thank you I will get food elsewhere. I like my food, and an iceberg tomato salad is not a meal, it's a side dish. Even for vegans/vegetarians.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely people and lovely place. We use it to decompress for one or two days after arriving from europe in windhoek. The giraffes walk bij your deluxe tent in the morning after which you sit down for a beautiful breakfast. After that we take a dip in the pool, retire to the porch with a book, have a little snooze or maybe go for a walk to spot oryx or springbok in the afternoon and a nice DIY braai in the evening with the sun setting behind the mountains. Couldn’t be better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The accomodation was great : very confirtable and very clean . Proximity with Windhoek. The animals the morning.
Cons: Need to develop family room or to accomodate some rooms with sofa to welcome parents and small kids in the same place - we were forced to book 2 rooms

Pros: The owner was very welcoming and made me feel at home as soon as I arrived and throughout my stay. The lodge was pristine clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was great watching the giraffes. 8.5 Excellent
Pros: They offered champagne and small cake on arrival which was a lovely and welcome touch. Rooms are a good size and feel like Europe because they are quite old and beautifully decorated. Bed is comfortable and facilities all you need. Air conditioning needed tweaking which took a while to work out but was good in the end. Pool area was perfect not overlooked and shade or sun options with the loungers. Food was exceptional as was the service, a little expensive compared to other places in Namibia but the standards were up to European standards in London or Paris. Staff always friendly and wanted to help with anything you asked which was great.
Cons: Our room had an interconnecting door, great when travelling with a family, sadly we weren't and our neighbours checked out at 3am, were very noisy and woke us for two hours whilst they packed. The breakfast room was lovely, some wallpaper we hanging off the wall...but it's an old room! It was quite pricey compared to other hotels in the city, but it was worth it.

7.5 Good
Pros: Food was amazing
Cons: Room was small although a family room. Kids on a mezzanine level but every-time they moved the floor boards were noisy. Meant we didn't get a good sleep
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible dinner and breakfast. Chef Stephan is an outstanding cook. The lodge has an ideal location right next to Windhoek. The rooms have everything you need. I will stay there again, when I return to Namibia!
7.9 Good
Pros: Food served during breakfast, lunch and dinner was fantastic. This is the strongest point of Immanuel Wilderness Lodge. They also have some animals walking on the property near a waterhole. This is also very nice to see. The pool area is clean and towels are available, the water in July is freezing cold so be aware of that. Wifi in the main building is very good. All staff members are very friendly. The owners know what they are doing.
Cons: The beds and bathrooms in the houses are outdated. I know this is always a matter of price versus quality but the bathroom facilities in the appartments/houses could certainly use a refreshment.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Location was next to construction site/ industrial park, trip advisor reviews had no mention of this
6.7 Good
Pros: Good staf, good food
Cons: The place / rooms need some updating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service is much better than other resorts in Namibia Close to Windhoek, but much more quiet Friendly staff Excellent dinner, very tasty food, beautiful interior and even "Good Boy" Dog I guess this is excellent point for rest after or before flight. We will definitely stay here also on back route
Cons: No hair drier in room No body creme in bathroom
7.9 Good
Pros: Great place. Just outside Windhoek. You must book the dinner at the place. I will promise you it´s great. One of Namibia best places for dinner. Love all theirs dogs and cats.
Cons: The pool is very cold in the winther time. The rooms are small but in a ok condition. Bathrooms still needs a shower curtain to avoid water all over the floor.
4.0 Okay
Cons: Clients are not given an option of deciding on the type of food they would like to order for dinner. Either reduce the food prices (dinner) or if sticking to the current charges then at-least a buffet menu should be offered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent - good choice and great local food Location is within easy reach of the A1 and only a few minutes from Windhoek, making it simple to reach from/to the airport
Cons: It is clear that there has been lots of recent development in the near area - not as remote as it once was - no issue for us, but no longer the 'wilderness' of the title

Pros: The attention and care of the details, like the breakfast that is great. The tranquility, since it only has two rooms, and to rest after the tour of Namibia was exactly what we were looking for.
Cons: Zone a little far from the center.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very lovely place to stay in Windhoek. It is the small details in every corner that make it an unforgettable stay. Breakfast was outstanding - probably the best we had during our 3-week trip through Namibia and Botsuana. Shuttle service from the airport was also well organized.

The owners dog kept me company throughout my stay and slept outside my lodge all night which, given I was travelling alone, only made my stay even more relaxing So peaceful and such a relaxing stay. If I go back to Windhoek I will definitely be staying here again.

Cons: The air conditioning unit was a little too noisy to run through the night.

7.5 Good
Pros: Chama was delightful, and Toni was welcoming, polite and informative and could have smiled a bit more.
