Pros: The hosts were terrific, loved how they talked with us all during breakfast and made us feel like we were visiting friends. Loved how they transformed the original building and left some original pieces. Felt extremely safe there even when we were the only couple until later in the evening.
Cons: Was concerned when we first arrived as there was no one there, but our own fault as we didn’t see the email from the host asking when we would be there so he could meet us. He answered our call immediately and provided us with what we needed.

Pros: Very nice hotel with a fantastic view on the city / Castle . The wellness is also worth a visit . The 50€ menue was excellent and the cognac in the lounge area was just perfect .
Cons: ... nothing ...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel, great position, good room, and lovely dinner. Couldn't fault it. If in Bouillion, this is the place to stay. Will be back !
Cons: Pillows needed to be bigger, seemed incongruous that on a super king size bed we were only given one small pillow per person. In the hotels defence we were too stupid to ask for more. But maybe something to be considered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated high up above Bouillon with wonderful views across the river and to the castle. Our room was very comfortable. Lounge area very comfy and there is a great terrace at the front. Sadly it was raining so we didn’t use it. We ate dinner which was absolutely delicious and had an excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Parking could be tricky
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely views and comfortable room with good shower. Good breakfast and lovely dog called Ginger. 10 min walk into town.
Cons: Small step inside bedroom door a bit of a hazard plus to lock and unlock bedroom door inside you need to remove key from power slot hence lights go out and you can’t see the key or lock. Would be very dangerous in a fire situation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had a fabulous meal at this hotel which we all enjoyed very much and the breakfast was very good aswell. The hotel was very high up hence the name which gave great views over the town.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: The room was one of the few that had not been updated. It was very basic and more aligned with a budget room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: There was a beautiful view from the bedroom, which was of a good size, though we had booked an upgraded room. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, in a pleasant dining area.
Cons: They should not advertise a swimming pool. It's a plunge pool.

Hotel La Ferronniere - Bouillon - Bedroom

8.4 Excellent (248 reviews)

6.3 Good
Pros: The place is up a steep hill but accessible if you've got stamina or a car. The views, especially from our room #2 were dramatic of the city and the Count's Fort. It had a lovely "public patio" (quotes to be explained later) and our room also had a grand outdoor patio.
Cons: The owner/chef Wim(?), ruined our time at this location. He is a hot head with a chip on his shoulder that ended up being the downfall of our time there as well as two Americans also staying there that we befriended. As John Paul, our Belgian American friend said "this guy is really bad for Belgium." Not to prolong the misery but the incident arose after we were gifted by Van Steenberg Brewery near Ghent a magnum of our favorite Belgium beer, Tripel de Garre. We told the staff we wanted to share it with others and the young son showed us we had a fridge in our room. I then told Wim we met their guests from America and wanted to get some cheeses to offer them when we shared the bottle. Wim directed me to the store. We met our friends on the public patio outside well away from the B&B and restaurant. there was no one in the bar or restaurant. I asked the young worker if we could use four glasses to share the beer and he graciously agreed. After about 30 minutes of quietly enjoying the view and the beer, Wim stormed onto the public patio, told us we were not allowed to drink our belgium beer there and insisted we leave immediately. We said OK and started to gather our belongings but Wim shouted "right now, you must leave immediately!" He then claimed in 20 years no guest has ever had the audacity to share a beverage on the public patio. At that point, we had to ask him to calm down as he was acting threatening, but the rant continued. He even told us about the size of his mortgage as if drinking our gift had deprived him of significant value! The said thing is our simple celebration with new found friends is not what is depriving him of income. It is the atrociously sophomoric culinary experience he offers. It was also the low light of our eating in Belgium. This guy really should not be in the service or culinary business. To prove the point, aside from the four of us, only one other couple ever showed up for dinner.
6.7 Good
Pros: Shower
Cons: Lighting in the room
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast, clean hotel and nice bathroom
Cons: 130 € / per night is a bit expensive for a small room, without breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very attractive house, high on the hill in Bouillon with beautiful views of the town.
Cons: The breakfast was quite extensive but compared to others we sampled on our tour with thought it was rather overpriced for the quantities offered.

7.9 Good
Pros: The location is very central, the breakfast was decadent, there was cake! The room was big.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and fantastic restaurant
Cons: Decor a little tired
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, room was cozy and clean. The downstairs restaurant was just fabulous! I highly recommend it!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Reasonable value for money.
Cons: The restaurant is convenient in terms of serving cheap food in a family-friendly setting, but the pasta really was awful!
7.0 Good
Pros: Location is brilliant. Restaurant served awesome food and drinks. The staffs were very friendly.
Cons: I wouldn't complain about anything.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quaint hotel, old fashioned decoration, but it suits the hotel and surroundings perfectly. Nicely clean, big room and big, comfortable bed. Eating in the restaurant was a treat! Good pasta and perfect wood oven pizza. Great value.
Cons: Right on the main street, so no private parking spaces, but there is a big parking area about 100m walking from the hotel, so not a big problem.
6.3 Good
Pros: The room was quiet. The staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable. The shower was ok.
Cons: The bathroom had stains. The light in the hallway was not allways on, you could turn it on but you had to press hard. Breakfast was ok. But the sausages were like ( zwan tv sausages)

7.1 Good
Pros: - amazing view from hostel. You can overlook the whole village (including the castle and the church) - a lot of public area to seat and relax - breakfast and bar area looks cozy - look clean everywhere - staffs are helpful - overall i have a pleasant stay here
Cons: - if you take the bus to Bouillon, after get off from the bus stop, you need to walk 20mins uphill to hostel - reception opens in a limited time. I was locked out from hostel when I arrived there at 1pm (which is their lunch time break). Be prepared to arrive at the time they open. - only 4 plugs in a dormitory with 10people and not near the bed. Just a remind to guest.

6.3 Good
Pros: Clean, good bed
Cons: Common areas close after 10pm (no lobby access). Breakfast room is dark with no windows (no view of the castle) Breakfast OK but didn't meet our expectation at the price level, compared to other properties we stayed at in the area.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice view over Bouillon and the Castle.
Cons: The hotel could be named ”Cosy & Strange”. When we entered into the reception we met a big cat.... I love cats but my wife does not. So, perhaps it would be good to inform guests that this is an Animal Hotel... also because it was in the breakfast restaurant in the morning too... we all know what cats do.. Then the stairs up to the room was very uncomfortable and it was smelling old. Finally the room was cold... so yes you can say it was cosy.... had to sleep close to keep the temperature. I guess this hotel will be perfect for catlovers for guests still living in the eighties. Modern guests expect more in relation to the relatively high price we paid.
5.4 Okay
Pros: I like location and I had paid extra fir view on castle . Breakfast and dinner were very good
Cons: The staff. Gentleman at reception (probably co owner) is tge weakest point. Room had canalisation priblem I guess, meaning water in bathroom took long minutes to go down.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome by the parents of one of the owners? Gentle and kind. Warm. A lot of things to look at, felt a little crowded but was very warming and cosy as the name says. Room pretty, lovely, cosy. Lightly themed. Amazing views. Really welcoming. I figured out that there was a car radio cassette player built in my night table and soon we were dancing to old classics. A lot of fun. Good night's sleep. Breakfast: everything that was available tasted good. Nice room for breakfast. Location was pretty as we had great views and could also park right in front of the hotel. Parents of one of the owners were so very kind, they made our stay extra pleasant! Big thumbs up for them!
Cons: I did not like that there was not really someone to receive us at 14h40, 20min before check-in. Yes one of the owners parents were there and very welcoming but they couldn't help us. Nobody was at the hotel yet. Breakfast could have been a bit more welcoming by perhaps having staff here to help navigate a little bit or provide a cappuccino, latte or hot chocolate instead of filter coffee on a heat plate and nearly no warm milk. A machine could help as well. Being in this area I expected more cheeses or specialties at breakfast. Bit of a small and crowded area when looking for things, felt a little unnatural. Big bathroom with bathtub which is great but very slippery and no handle bars. The door that would stop the water from going on the floor, sadly did not work so well. I don't like the packaging for shampoo that you have to tear open, not very convenient. Entrance a little busy and beautiful view blocked, would put a lounge here. Oh and with checkout we had to pay for the minibar usage, but we checked up front and there wasn't mentioning of it in their welcoming book, like prices, and there wasn't, so expected water to be free of charge. Which it was not. Told the owner at checkout, but he did not respond to that.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very cosy, like the hotel's name says! And very good restaurant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room and breakfast. Great location
9.2 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and a traditional hotel with friendly staff willing to listen and assist. Good parking for the bikes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel lovely family run business. Very quirky decor which we loved. Top chef who cooked a lovely evening meal.
Cons: Hard pillows.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a hotel we’ve stayed at on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed our stay here. We have always found it to be very good value for money and have enjoyed the traditional feel to the hotel. Our rooms have always had river views and it’s location is just a short riverside stroll to the main hub of the town.
Cons: This trip was with my son and we each had a single room. My room sadly was the worst I have experienced at this hotel over the years. The shower sprayed water everywhere but where you needed it ie down! The shower room had a hole in the floor under the carpet and a second hole under the carpet in the bedroom. I really don’t feel my room was fit for purpose.

Pros: Very convenient, close to town and quiet. Had a great night's sleep. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: No real problem. The owner did not speak English (we speak English, some German and some Spanish), but we were still able to communicate okay with her and she was very kind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. I am struggling to see how our stay could have been improved. Lovely country walk down to the Town and Chateau. Perfect facilities to make own food and breakfast. Fridge was useful. WiFi excellent. Host was delightful and helpful. We hope to return.
Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and friendly owners.
Cons: The rooms are small, but, this is made up by being able to use the living room and kitchen facilities.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The building smelt stale. It was dirty in places and generally run down it felt unclean. They had a dog( who is lovely) but in the general open area used for guests the carpet was full of dog hairs and looked liked it had never seen a hoover☹️ Room was small. Landlady could not speak English but we got by as we did not need to interact with them much.

Pros: Good place, close enough to the town if you have a car. The owner is very diligent and attentive. It has parking. If you order it at night you can have and purchase breakfast which was convenient and sufficient. Good value for the money
Cons: The heater in the room made noise all night long which woke me up several times.

Pros: Waited for us to arrive late by bicycle :)

4.4 Okay
Pros: Large room
Cons: Somewhat cheap look of room and facilities.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff were excellent, food was good, bed was very comfortable.
Cons: There was no lounge area in which to sit and relax. One either stayed in ones own room or had to sit in the bar area. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was no mini-bar in the room.
5.2 Okay
Pros: Good position in town of Bouillon
Cons: Dog in adjoining room disturbed us in the night. Group of 10+ young ladies were noisy, visiting each others rooms, banging doors, hairdryer going at 5.30 am.

6.3 Good
Pros: The place is up a steep hill but accessible if you've got stamina or a car.
