6.0 Good
Pros: Location good. Breakfast Excellent - best poached eggs I've had in ages - also they had marmite which ticks a massive box for me! Nice, good quality Penhalligons toiletries. Mattress very comfortable. Staff lovely, professional and helpful - Bea the manager went out of way to help turn down heating in our room and the waiting staff at breakfast were great - friendly, professional and convivial. Very comfortable mattress. Good quality bed linen. I think this is a hotel that is value for money, having much charm in the main house with all the antiques and curiosities. I used to run a hotel in London so the stuff I didn't like is very personal to me and just not how I would do things.
Cons: Whole building very hot and stuffy - like a hospital or an old peoples home. We were told they keep the hotel at 24 degrees - much too hot for us (personal). Had to get them to turn heating down in room but even then it was too hot and we ended up sleeping with the door to the garden open (mid winter). Room smaller than in the photos, quite cramped and we hadn't realised is through the property at end of garden - felt a bit like a converted garage. It was described as 'King room overlooking the garden' so we were expecting a King size bed but was a small double which was a bit disappointing - maybe we hadn't read the info in enough detail. Mattress very comfy. Pillows also described as hypo-allergenic (husband has allergies) - and they were so good and felt just like down... thought I'd finally found perfect allergy pillow but actually they were down - fine for me but maybe shouldn't specify they aren't..? We were shown the 'honesty bar' - I thought this was fantastic until I was getting myself a g&t and when you go to put your money in the box there's a little sign saying 'cctv in operation' I looked around and there was actually cctv - so not an honesty bar at all... odd! Also, as the place is so hot, all the ice in the ice bucket is melted so none of the mixers were actually cold. Overall I feel they could describe the room with a bit more clarity (explain it's not in the main house and not say 'King' which gives impression of bigger bed) - we would rather have known what to expect to avoid disappointment. Personal taste I know - so I'm probably being a bit pedantic, but could have done without the plastic orchid in the bathroom and all the Christmas nik-naks (santa pillow on bed, snowmen hanging from pictures etc...) also personal taste - I didn't like the fake wood flooring in our room or the fact there was an empty room diffuser in the bathroom.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Hotel utterly charming and all the staff were adorable. We will definitely book there again and stay longer. Restaurant food was delicious and the location perfect. The price was excellent value for money.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I wanted to get away from the hurly burly, the hustle and the bustle of living in an urban conurbation and boy did No 38 the park do that! Shame I could only do one night I could have stayed a lifetime.
Cons: The rooms, the vibe, everything
8.0 Excellent
Pros: All of it, which was why we returned.
Cons: Ensure someone is there to meet new arrivals
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely warm welcome by the staff and beautifully furnished and interior designed hotel log fire relaxing lounge that made you want to sit in it! Absolutely gorgeous! Same for the breakfast area ! Great breakfast too!
Cons: Bedroom lacked the same level of decor and attention to detail from the rest of the hotel which was slightly disappointing as I chose this hotel and paid more because I wanted a nicer room. No chair or small bench to put your stuff on we used the bath to put our jeans and jumper on you don’t want to have to hang everything up and the wardrobe space was tiny anyway. Same in the bathroom no where to put your wash bag which is strange as the bathroom is huge so there is plenty of space. Also no shower screen so not a nice shower experience as you feel cold whilst showering and the water goes everywhere.

Cons: N/A
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Noisy and poorly insulated for sound. Opened bedroom window at night time and all the internal doors rattled as poorly fitted so had to close window again. Fell over step going out of back door in the evening for a meal as light bulb not working on wall light and so was in total darkness and I hurt my knee quite badly. It said there was a complimentary breakfast and none was on offer and nobody to ask.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great Location , in the heart of Stow, great customer service & although pet friendly very clean throughout We stayed over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed , definitely returning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Apartment in an ideal location. Apartment contains everything you need. Very friendly helpful staff. Ample free parking.
Cons: It’s an old building so floors above do creak as people move around
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and a really nice old building. Nice having to walk through the shop entrance and gardens to get to it - added to the tucked away feel despite the building being on a busy corner.
Cons: Upstairs floorboards were a bit creaky!! But that is the only criticism. Everything else was fine for us - although we were only there for one night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s location was excellent. The property was very spacious and well equipped. The photos on the site did it justice. Although only two double bedrooms the dining table could have sat at least 8.
Cons: The main en-suite needs a mirror over the sink. We were in Suite 3 and unfortunately Suite 2 was above us and the footfall was very loud. Could be heard all evening and woke us at 5am. We had the opportunity to look at other suites which appeared just as good as ours. Thus we would stay again but request a suite that didn’t have anybody above.

Mattresses are extremely firm - I have back problems but tbf I didn't sleep badly despite this.

Cons: We found no fault at all and highly recommend a visit.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable and it was only 10 minutes, from the centre of Cirencester
Cons: There were no staff when we arrived and had to get the key from the gate man. We then had to find our room as there were no indication which floor it was on. The room was dirty, I had to clean the bathroom before I could put our items on the shelve. The whole room was dirty and dusty, I took photos of the dirt on the wipes I used. On Monday morning we were in the dining room having breakfast and the wagon drivers from the business were eating in the same place as us. They were in there dirty work wear and we were not made aware of this. I confronted the lady on reception about the room and she didn't seem interested. I would never stay here again.
7.1 Good
Pros: Room very comfortable and well provided for.
Cons: Really difficult to find especially in the dark, some earlier external signage would be ideal.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Large room (paid for the upgraded option, although I wouldn’t say it’s worth it). Location is good (if you don’t mind church bells for 2 hours on a Sunday morning).
Cons: Service was really lacking. Staff, although most were friendly, weren’t always helpful. Customers didn’t seem to come first - if they’d been allocated a job (cutting fruit in the bar, lighting the fire), they didn’t stop even if you were waiting or needed something. Facilities weren’t what I would expect for the price I paid. The main lights were switched off in corridors at night, meaning there was no light over the stairs - a certain safety hazard. The lift sounded as thought it was going to break down. The parking is extra and not on site - a few spaces available in hotel parking for £15 a day (still not on site) or park in the public car parks for less than half that. There were no drawers in the room, and no full-length wardrobe, even though there was ample space. The hairdryer was the type you have to hold the button down for it to work. There was nowhere to hang your towel when in the bath/shower - the towel rail was the other end of the bathroom, so either drip all the way, or put your towel on the sink/toilet/floor! The blind and curtain were in a poor state of repair, and the sofa was stained. The chocolate mints on the bed had bloomed - although not mouldy, should not have been provided. The breakfast buffet was the smallest I’ve seen in a hotel like this - one plate of fruit and a few slices of cheese. Lots of things had run out when we came 45 minutes before the end of service, and were not replenished. I had to ask for them to refill the bread. The cooked option was ok, but not the best. I had expected a small treat or acknowledgment of my boyfriend’s birthday, which I had told the hotel about in advance, but nothing was done until I enquired at reception.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All round excellent
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Amazing Beds and Linen, and generous breakfast
Cons: The Spa was tiny with limited access and some rooms had no view.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the library for the same price as the Travel Lodge, there was just no comparison in terms of facilities, location, ambience etc
Cons: The small lift and narrow corridors, but well worth effort, as the room, the hotel and the staff were excellent.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was fantastic, location perfect
Cons: There was a smell on reception in the evening, no direct parking was a nuisance
