Pros: I loved the hotel itself. I wanted a hotel with character and history and the public areas were just that. It was beautiful and felt old in a wonderfully historical way. Breakfast was fine and included breads and cereal mostly. The location was perfect, just a couple minutes to walk to the Duomo. Of course, the historical part of Florence is pretty small, so it was also easy to walk to any of the sights I wanted to see. The hotel and the room were also quiet. The staff also recommended an excellent restaurant that was just down the street and made a reservation for me (La Giostra).

Pros: I loved my stay at the Monna Lisa. It is perfectly situated for anyone taking advantage of the many tourist destinations in town yet near the edge enough that you feel like you live there. The staff was magnificently friendly and the hotel was wonderfully appointed. Regina at the front desk was fantastic and even got me a rush ticket to the Accademia. Mil Grazie!
I never write reviews, but the Monna Lisa deserves one!

Pros: This hotel was chosen for its location in historic area of Firenze and ease of walking distance to the Duomo, Uffizi, museums, shops etc..Also it has its own parking; although it was quite difficult to enter with a large size car but that is the historic center of Firenze. The building is a 13 century palazzo with charming reception area, reading room and impressive breakfast room that served a delicious buffet style breakfast. The staff was very knowledgeable and spoke many languages. I had emailed the hotel for them to make reservations for ticket to the Uffizi on the day that I needed since they were unavailable online. The hotel did so with the same charge as the online site. Definitely will return to Monna Lisa and recommemd it to al

Pros: The rooftop garden restaraunt panoramic view is breathe taking! the food was delicious pricey but well worth every bite. The service was very classy, polite, attentive and friendly the staff made me and my two daughters feel very special. The waiter brought my daughter a shawl when he saw that she was cold and offered us one as well. Our room had a window with a view for people watching, the maid kept our room very clean, every evening when we arrived back from a long day our beds would be turned down waiting for us. The location of the hotel was perfect every thing in walking distance. Doormen and bell hops very friendly and courtesy. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and welcoming and accommodate us with a bigger room when we revealed to him that our room was too small for 3 girls. We were hoping to see him again next day to thank him but we never saw him again. The breakfast is wonderful and delicious! Lots of food even at 945! i love the historical story of the hotel and old pictures of the hotel in the past. The antique furniture, history, and decor can only be appreciated by historical buffs. Pros: The position of this is hotel must be one of the best in the whole of Florence it is so close to everything there is to see. As soon as you walk out of the door you are there. 10 steps and you are on the Ponte Vecchio a 2 minute walk to the Pitti Palace a 5 minute walk to the Uffizi (which we didnt go in as the queue waiting to go in was ridiculous if you seriously want to go book it before you travel) a 3 minute walk to the Piazza Republica and a 6 minute walk to the Duomo. The roof top terrace on the 6th floor is the reason why I origionally chose this hotel and I was not dissapointed after a tiring day of sightseeing to come back to the terrace for a drink and relax was heaven.Of a night dinner is served on the terrace and although the menu is very limited (due to the very small kitchen area) the food wes excellent. I would reccomend this hotel 100% to anyone. For best buys in Florence you should go the market stalls around San Lorenzo theare fantastic I got the most fab leather jacket for £80.One of the best city breaks I have had.

Pros: The staff at the Anglo American were fantastic, friendly and extremely helpful. They looked after our luggage after our early arrival in Florence on the train from Paris allowing us to visit the city unburdened. They also looked after them after checking out as we were not leaving till the evening that day. The hotel was booked up with a large party of guests and to our amazement and delight we were upgraded to a suite. We will be recommending a stay at the NH Anglo American to anybody we know who is visiting Florence and look forward to returning ourselves.

Pros: We were given free breakfast the morning we arrived, they did not mind that we just checked in and therefore we should probably only have breakfast next day. Parking was ok. I also appriciated that after we had serious problems with a room, they gave me a fair discount.
