Excellent hotel to stay at for that Bavarian experience. It is not far from the Edelweiss, which is the US military R&R center, but they allow dogs. Lovely & quaint small hotel.

No washcloths or hairdryer, etc. good for one or two people. We had two teens with us and the extra beds they brought in were toddler sized beds and then there was no room to walk in the room with the extra beds. Otherwise, I would reccommend this hotel. Pros: Hospitality at its best! Rooms are cleaned everyday. Their restaurant is one of the best in GAP (Garmisch-Partenkirchen). The hotel is right in town of Partenkirchen, it's so easy to get around. For those who would like to shop, it's about 20-30minutes walk to the Marienplatz, the Fußgangerzone of the town, at the Garmisch side. Not a bad walk because there are stores/bars/restaurants on the way. My husband and I will be sure to stay here the next time we visit our friends again... next month, perhaps?

Pros: The hotel was wonderfully quirky with the underground tunnels connecting the reception and car park to the separate houses. The grounds were lovely and the room was a good size with a small outside terrace and a well appointed bathroom. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were appreciated and we found all the staff very helpful and with a good grasp of English. The spa pool was lovely and we enjoyed meals in both the restaurants. The buffet breakfasts were wonderful - so much choice.

Pros: My husband and I highly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very dog friendly, they set out dogs bowls in our room and there were close wooded walking trails for the dogs. Pros: Very accomodating staff. Entire busload of wild teenies invaded hotel at 5 PM. Staff moved us to a quieter quarter. By the time we came back from dinner, all had been tamped down and was very quiet. Nice spot with a great view of the mountains. Lots of parking available.

Pros: We arrived at this hotel in the middle of an October blizzard and heavy snow so it was a sight for sore eyes. Room was typical for a chain hotel - in a good way! It was clean, well laid out, perfectly equipped and a great modern bathroom (though small!). We used the pool - I think they said it was 28.5 degrees, so yes, cold, but typical. We ate in the restaurant and it was great regional food, very well priced. We also had drinks and snacks in the bar - again, very pleased. Fabulous breakfast. Becasue of the snow, we didn't even venture out so I can't comment on how well-placed the hotel is, but in terms of value for money (our room cost under £70!!), it is one of the best I have stayed in.

Pros: I have been staying there for about five years when I visit Bavaria from the USA Herr Falk Bartels, Asst Mgt, has been very helpful. Frau Jenny Huber (front desk )was exceptionaly helpful. Most of the dinning room staff and the chef were very plesant and helpful
