Pros (+) What a wonderful experience! The hotel is not fancy but loaded with atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. We borrowed bicycles and road over to downtown Hilo on a Sunday morning. We walked to our boat tour embarkation in the afternoon. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was ample and delicious. Pros (+) Loved the people who work there, best group ive ever seen. Amazing staff, really care, soooo noticable.
Cons (-) So minamal on problems, if any problems, just my view, cause sure they would listen if i noticed something.

Pros (+) Economical, friendly and helpful staff, close to garden and Coconut Island.
Cons (-) Windows are unsealed glass vents so there will be various common bugs that share your room, including small roaches. Nothing compared to a cabin in the woods, but those with bug phobia may be concerned.

Pros (+) The location next to the airport was nice. It is within a reasonable walk to downtown Hilo.
Cons (-) The hotel feels old and could use some renovation. It was also very hard to find our room. Breakfast doesn't start until 7am, so we missed it due to an 8am flight.
