Pros: The location was excellent. Just across a bridge to the main center of town. It was a walkable distance from the train station, while lugging a suitcase. I was in town for less than 24 hours. I wish I had stayed longer.

Pros: The location was great and we had a great view of the river. The hotel had a lot of charm. It was great that coffee was available most of the day. Staff was very helpful. It was convenient that there was a bar at the hotel for some late night drinks
Cons: It would have been nice if the coffee was available prior to 7 am for early risers. We were told someone would be on staff to order us a taxi at 6:30 am but no one was at the desk, so we had to walk to the train station. Fortunately the staff the prior night suggested we check out that night so we didn’t have to be concerned about that when desk was not attended.

Cons: When we entered the hotel we were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarette smoke from the adjoining bar. There was no one at the desk to great us and when the girl showed up she wasn't very nice.We were worried we made a mistake with this hotel but once we got in our room everything was great. The rest of the staff was very friendly and our stay was very satisfactory.

Pros: I had stayed at this property over 25 years ago- and it hadn't changed much in that time. I don't know if that's a good thing! It was on a quiet street and easy to find
Cons: The day staff was somewhat unfriendly. When asking about laundry facilities she gave directions to one in town but said the hotel would gladly wash a T shirt for 8 euros. A bit extreme. We had the feeling that she didn't like animals as she rushed to keep us from bringing our dog in at breakfast. Most places do allow that, but she went to an embarrassing extreme instead of politely telling us. She could have mentioned no dogs allowed in the eating area when we checked in. Or in our reservation confirmation. She could have offered us the option of taking a plate to our room. The point being that if you are going to post yourself as "dog friendly" and charge a fee for the dog, then the dog should be treated well instead of a nuisance. Everything else was mediocre and would not stay again. The parking situation was a joke. She kept our keys and they shuffled the cars about. If they ran out of space there was not a real good option for parking except somewhere on the street--- which was limited and always full. We had no TV until the last day of our stay. They ended up replacing the defective unit. The night people seemed to be more amicable and friendly.
