Pros: Everything
Cons: Location.so sad to be in this guesthouse at the last minute in Iceland. There is not much to enjoy around the Keflavik
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow -- a really amazing b&b! Very unique, beautiful, clean and inviting. Wonderful hosts, hot tub, and welcome coffee/hot chocolate as well. I would 100% recommend booking here if you get the chance -- I'll definitely try again if I'm back in Reykjavik for an overnight.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really kind hosts, nice house, reasonable size rooms and comfortable beds. Lots of art around the house and super large and warm hot tub in the garden!! Towels and bathrobes included as well as slippers. Home made cookies and chocolate, too! Shame we were only there for one night.....Close to the airport. Hope to come back one day...
Cons: X
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply everything. The owners made us feel very welcomed, the place is well furnished and really detailed. The hot swimming pool outside is amazing, even more if you can admire aurora from there. I warmly recommend it, I will go back there for sure!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pragmatic info - there is hairdryer in the bathroom, also tisues, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner. There are towels and bathrobe. There are slippers which you can were inside and also slippers for outside use - when you want to go to the pool in the garden. There is jug kettle in the room, tea and coffee. There is a dining room, where is the breakfast served and where you can hang out any time. There is beer and other cold drinks in the refrigerator in the dining room which you can take and pay later. You can also use plates and cutlery which are there. You can store your own food in the refrigerator. Impragmatic info - the whole guesthouse is really beautifull place, there is piece of art on every step, and the most important piece of mozaik are people who are running this place. Thank you, Yuki and Andy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I adored my stay in 1x6. I felt so welcome and comfortable there I look forward to returning soon. I choose it initially because it was so close to the airport, but it truly would be a great base for exploring the area. Thank you Andi and Yuki for going above and beyond!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The hosts here were absolutely wonderful. They picked us up from airport for no extra charge, were very accommodating to our odd travel times, and they even left personal bathrobes, house slippers, and pool shoes for us to use. The heated pool was AMAZING and we wish we could have spent more time here. I cannot recommend the breakfast option with your stay enough. Not only is it very worth it, but the hosts' cooking abilities were fantastic. Yuki makes fresh bread, and Andi's espresso skills are on-point. Best experience we had in all of Iceland, and we did A LOT of stuff, so I feel like that's saying quite a bit.
Cons: Nothing. We couldn't recommend this guesthouse enough. Absolutely a highlight of our 9 days in Iceland.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome at the airport and a quick transfer to the guesthouse. The pool was ready for us and really nice to take a bath. Andi and Yuki even thought of bathslippers and slippers in the house. The next morning an excellent breakfast with lots of home made treats. Also very sweet for our children.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were amazing and so much fun!!
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect

Pros: Absolutely amazing place to stay after or before your flight as it is near the airport. The owner is very helpful. The place is spotless very nice and comfortable. Can not recommend enough.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice and very spacious room, clean and comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen and very comfortable living room.
Cons: Our reception was not very warm maybe because we arrive at midnight, the bathroom is outside the room and that gives no privacy, other people in the living room can see us! The living room is also shared.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cheap price for a clean comfortable stay! Nice host and close to the airport
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The cost of the taxi from airport to guesthouse, very expensive for such a short drive.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The host was so nice. He informed us the key information during checking in. and there were necessary kitchen utensil and amenities for tourist. It was so accessible to reach the airport within 15 mins.
Cons: The atmosphere of room is quite cold. but it was acceptable because the blankets made us to be warmed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse was beautiful, very clean with great facilities, room is very big and there was even a sofa in front of TV. The host was absolutely amazing, super nice, and he made our trip to Iceland complete by showing us the northern light-that was the last chance for us to see them and we would miss it if he would not call us. Really great host, beautiful accommodation and we were very happy with our short stay. Definitely we recommend this place.
Hotel Berg - Keflavik - Building
3
9.2 Excellent (2,043 reviews)
S$ 227+
Overview Reviews
Hotel Berg is a newly renovated four-star boutique hotel on two floors located above a small marina in Keflavík, where most travellers begin and end their journey in Iceland due to its short distance to the international airport. Hotel Berg is only a 5-minute drive to the airport, yet has quiet surroundings, as it is well away from the noises of the airport.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Quite and friendly staff.
Cons: No restaurant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were extremely helpful and friendly with good spoken English. Would recommend.
Cons: Breakfast was expensive and was stone cold.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: They only offer breakfast in the morning. If you are delayed due to weather like we were then you need to venture out to find food. The staff was very friendly and professional. Each room has robes that you can use when you use the rooftop hottub which is a must.
Cons: The hot tub needed some repairs. The tiles were falling off. I wish there were more food options.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a beautiful property with very good assistant manager at reception. We had a bit of an issue when checking in as the night shift could not find our booking but other than this the volted ceilings (although my partner hit his head :)) ) and the room space and everything was quite nice there is a fire place in the lobby and a bathtub .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: 24 hour access to decent machine coffee was fantastic. The young girl in reception when we checked in was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, I'm not sure how much we paid to have it added. I loved that there was fresh fruit and yoghurt. Apart from the need for soundproofing, the room was a great size and having the skylight above the bed in the loft would have been fantastic had it not been dripping water. Loved all the channels on the TV and the bathroom was a good size. Hotel was a good distance from the airport and for our short stay, this was perfect. The plunge pool on the roof was also a great addition to the stay.
Cons: No bacon, eggs or baked beans put out on our last day was dissapointing. Walls in hotel rooms are not very well soundproofed and the goings on of certain inconsiderate patrons that think it's ok to stomp around at 11pm at night, dragging and slamming bags and just making a general racket can be heard while the rest of the hotel is sleeping... The skylight window thing above our bed was also leaking water which we forgot to mention at checkout. If they could improve the breakfast a little more, soundproof the walls in between rooms and fix the leak in room 121 it would be a 10/10 Hotel!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything! The room is spacious, the reception is so helpful, the location is great and i really love the ambience! LOVE IT!
Cons: There’s no room service and the restaurant at the hotel only serving breakfast, so you have to go outside for lunch and dinner. Eventhough there’s a restaurant (Kaffi Duus) near to the hotel (3mins. Walking) but it is challenging when you stay during the winter. I have to stay for 3,5hours at Kaffi Duus just to wait for the snowstorm stops, so I can walk to the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything- rooftop hot pool, the lounge, Happy Hour, location and most importantly customer service. You HAVE to stay at this hotel for a few days!!
7.4 Good
Pros: Great for catching an early morning flight from Keflavik - free shuttle and nice hot pool to relax in the night before
Cons: Very expensive, but it is iceland!
Hotel Jazz - Keflavik - Bedroom

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our flight was delayed and the staff waited up at the front desk to make sure we could check in without any problems. We had a late afternoon flight the next day, so the hotel extended our check out time. The room was very clean and comfortable. The owner took us to the airport for our outgoing flight , saving us the cost of the taxi
Cons: Room was surprisingly too hot. Thankfully the window opened.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, the room is spacious enough, sufficiently equipped and clean (baby next door, didn’t hear a thing), and the breakfast (although not the most extensive we’ve seen) was good, with good regular coffee (which for us proved to be quite unique here in Iceland). In addition, the location is great. Close enough to the airport, within short walking distance of a nice restaurant (library bistro) and quiet enough to get a good night sleep. Located next to the ocean, views are nice and we even got to see the northern lights when we went for a stroll late in the evening. For us it was everything we could wish for, for an overnight stay before an (early) flight.
Cons: The town of Keflavik doesn’t make the most beautiful impression, the hotel looks the part from the outside. However, that comment doesn’t really seems fair as I would go back here for the purpose of staying overnight before a flight any day!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful, they made the most wonderful continental breakfast. View overlooked the water, it was beautiful.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel really lets you see what hospitality and comfort should be like. Our flight left at 6:40am and the hotel provides a complimentary 'pre' breakfast at 4am for early travelers. There was breads, small meats, cereal, yogurt, fruit, assorted cream cheese spreads, coffee/tea, juices. Regular breakfast starts at 8am. Just this alone was enough to win me over. Add to that the rooms were very clean, the showers had great pressure and the beds were super comfy. The only issue I had was that they give us two twin comforters instead of one big one... Yup, that was it. Behind the hotel is the sea.
7.5 Good
Cons: The only thing missing from the room was that there was no milk provided to make a cup of tea or coffee
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Jazz is an awesome option if you need some place to stay near Keflavik airport. The breakfast was awesome and the owner was very friendly and helpful. It’s walkable to good food options, and you can spend time in the great local pool or biking museum if you have time before your flight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's fantastic value for money. I expected much less for the price and was quite surprised at how nice it was. Big, warm, clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast had a lot of choice, bread, cereal, cold meats, cheese, coffee machine, juice, eggs. The room had TV with many channels, tea coffee facilities, hairdryer. The host Kalli was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble, we would have been so lost without him. Very generously gave us a lift when we missed our bus one morning. So very helpful and kind. Plenty places to eat within 5 minutes walk. Our room had a sea view which was lovely and a pathway around the shore was a nice walk. Bus service 55 takes you to Reykjavic for £24 return and runs frequently. Same bus to/from the airport is only £5.50 each way. I would absolutely recommend the Hotel Jazz.
Cons: Very few companies do tour pickups here. Most tours are from Reykjavik.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location. Near the airport. A few restaurants within walking distance. View of the ocean by the window.Cosy. Free parking. Helpful staff. Upgraded to a bigger room . Affordable/ reasonable price.
Cons: No wardrobe door, broken cabinet handle in the bathroom, thus , only the lower portion was used. Meaning, had to bend down. Curtains in the bedroom not thick enough to keep the cold from seeping through as heavy snow outside. No cooked breakfast. Drink machine ran out of coffee on more than 2 occasions.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is totally guest oriented.i
Cons: I have no complaints.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Cosy, great location, easy checkin and check out, lovely place to stay and would definitely return or recommend.
Cons: Could have done with some music at breakfast (to keep up with its name hotel jazz) small up keeps in the decor needed and perhaps a mini bar for a drink or someone to serve drinks at night - but overall a wonderful place to call base.

7.7 Good
Pros: Our room was large, clean, and quiet. Not elegant or romantic but spartan economical functional. Bed was cozy.
Cons: 2nd floor walk up. Besides that, it was great. Maybe there is an elevator we didn't see but we weren't feeling that lazy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The space was perfect for our last night in Iceland. We hit some bumps in the road with previous lodging on our trip, which is to be expected; however, it was quite relieving to walk into Bergas Guesthouse and be greeted with a friendly face and such attention to detail. The check-in process was the smoothest we experienced, our room was prepared and ready for us to walk in and fall into very comfortable beds to rest. We booked here because it was a short drive to the Blue Lagoon and minutes from the airport and we would be visiting both in the following 24 hour period. Perfect location, great price, lovely owners. Wish we could have stayed a little longer to explore the surrounding area and waterfront. I will definitely keep Bergas Guesthouse in mind for future trips.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel very welcome on check in and the facilities were first class at a really good price. Only a ten minute run to the airport for an early flight home...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff, they were really welcoming, we had a rather late check in and they waited for us.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: There was no closet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Hosts were really really helpful & friendly - staff lovely too, relaxing & comfortable throughout. Had Breakfast every morning - loads to choose from, hot & cold options - perfect.
Cons: All was great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and lovely staff. The owner was very kind to us and helped us with some of our questions regarding the country.
Cons: Smaller room for 5 people but this was under budget, it’s reasonable.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very close to the airport and was ok for the price but without breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners are very personable and make for a magical experience. The hotel room was delightfully comfortable. We lived it here and will return.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel hosts were wonderful people, warm and welcoming. They made a great dinner suggestion for us and even phoned in the reservation, which was so nice after our long travel day. The beds were comfy and rooms very clean. We couldn't have been happier.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcoming place. Very clean facilities with everything you need. Great for the night before a flight. Comfortable beds and quiet location only afew minutes from the airport. The owner made us feel very welcome.
Cons: No negatives.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We slept here on our way from the airport. It is a decent place for one night if you need a place to stay before a flight. The service lady was very vey nice and helpful with everything. The facilities are fine - nothing fancy but the value for money is ideal.
Cons: Everything was fine. We just stayed a night, so we had everything we needed. Again - this is a in between hotel for in and out of airport sleepovers. If you use it for that purpose, it will serve it well.

Overview Reviews
Located in Reykjanesbær, Ravensbnb is within a 5-minute drive of The Icelandic Museum of Rock 'n' Roll and Duus Hus Cultural Centre. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy quirky house, very pleasant stay. Very helpful owner, value for money.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really cute refurbished old farm, decoration is as expected and everything makes you feel at home. The recommended restaurant was quite good.
Cons: I did not realise that the owners don't live there, which make the "no cooking" rule a bit weird since there is a huge kitchen available.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Host is helpful and informative. The property, an historic dairy facility, is packed with interesting antiques. Prices seem quite reasonable considering the work that has gone into this special property. Eating area is accessible 'round the clock for making your own tea..... The place is very quiet for sleeping after an overnight flight.
Cons: Guests should probably have a car. The facility is at the border between residential and light industrial neighborhoods......quiet and comfortable but not particularly interesting for walking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you like a friendly, comfortable place with lots of character and history, then this place is just perfect! Located close to Keflavik Airport and right on the water, Raven's Bed was the perfect stop off spot after arriving in Iceland in the afternoon. A converted cow barn turned into a cosy house, this place was pure comfort. It felt like a home away from home with anything you could possibly want. After a friendly welcome we soon settled into the warm cosy lounge room to relax. Our downstairs bedroom was comfortable, the bathroom roomy and immaculately clean, and the whole place just really appealed to us. Just perfect - thank you :)
Cons: Our only regret was only being able to stay one night!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice BnB. The owner was very helpfull and nice to speak to. Fresh kitchen with access to breakfast at any time (since we had to leave early for our flight). Even have a outside bubble-bath for relaxation. Very close to the airport (8min driving). Would definitely stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was super amazing, always ready to help in one way or the other. We had a comfortable stay and ended up extending one more night there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The introductory tour by the son was fabulous and such a great overview of the wonderful eclectic decorations and antiques collected by the aunt in her travels! Hot tub was delightful! All the rooms had plenty of outlets, bathrooms spacious and lovely fixtures! Plenty of help yourself breakfast choices! Great WiFi It was our last night of 9 and probably the most fun of all the lodgings.....way beyond expectations and so close to the airport!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The building is unique and beautifully decorated. Beds were comfy, it was very quiet, hosts were friendly and improved my stay immensely. It was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Start Keflavik Airport - Keflavik - Building
7
8.8 Excellent (899 reviews)
S$ 120+
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, and very accommodating for people who catch early flights. The room was much larger than I was expecting, with plenty of space to store my luggage. Large recreational room equipped with a well-stocked kitchen. For being such a large building, it was very quiet in the evening, with no disturbances or noise (even from the airport). For its price, the hostel was extremely good quality.
Cons: Nothing at all to add here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Start hostel was clean, comfortable, rooms were generous and beds very comfortable. The breakfast was varied and delicious, and they start it at 4:30 to accommodate early flights. I booked this last minute to accommodate a 10 hour layover, and it was a great choice. The staff checked me in late (just after midnight) arranged my cab and provided a yummy breakfast. I would consider staying here if I did a layover in Iceland in the future.
Cons: It was a little further out than I liked - cabs cost almost as much as the hostel bed. But Iceland is expensive and this is minor. It is also expensive for a hostel bed. But it was toward the low end of the options, so this may just be a complaint that Iceland is expensive.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfortable, room and bathroom were clean. Free tea/coffee 24/7 was a big perk. Very close to airport, stable wi-fi and free parking.
Cons: It was difficult to find, my GPS didn't register the hostel address as a real place so I had to use a map to find it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The spacious dining area and bedroom.
Cons: The single bed is slightly narrow. Would have better to have a microwave in the room as kitchen sink was provided.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely people who ran the hotel - they made us very comfortable and were very helpful with information.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facility was well kept and clean.
Cons: The breakfast selection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean, big, super friendly and helpful at 12 am, and really close to the airport. Perfect for late flights!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It turned out that in the dormitory room for 4 people I was alone. Everything is new and perfectly clean. in the room are sockets, blinds, curtains, a table, chairs, boxes with keys. The shower room is combined with the toilet, but it is a large room. There is a big towel. Breakfasts are standard, meat, cheese, vegetable, fruit slices, milk, eggs, cereals, jams ... From 4.00 to 10.00. People are almost invisible. Аll 20 points out of 10.
Cons: there are no signs and in the evening from the bus stop it is difficult to find.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The dormitory I've stayed in was clean and bed was comfy. I also enjoyed tasty breakfast, especially coffee and those cute little muffins :) I will be back 100%!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff.clean and spacious rooms.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available on request).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean bathrooms, comfy beds and nice to have a sink in the room. Breakfast available from 4am which is good in case of an early flight out.
Cons: Some stains and hair on the bed sheets/pillow cases. Hopefully they were clean and just 'old'
9.1 Excellent
Pros: - Ideal for early/late flights - Early/Late Airport Pickup & dropoff provided - Bkfst started 3:30am
Cons: Location, while close to airport, is not ideal for much else.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I was charged $93 as a single traveler. I had made the reservation thinking the price corresponded to the comfort level. It did not. This is a glorified hostel on the outskirts of town. It is in an old industrial type building away from the center of town. Very noisy with smelly bathrooms. Only 3 bathrooms for quite a lot of rooms... When I brought up booking.com for the date that I was there the price came up for $63. I brought this to the attention of the owner. I was being charged the price for a family room. He said that it was too bad, I had booked at that price. He was quite unfriendly and defensive about the situation. Bottom line: I was overcharged and told 'too bad', it was my fault for booking it at that rate. I travel through Iceland twice a year and have stayed in many guesthouses in Keflevic. I have had very good experiences with all except this one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: KEF guesthouse offers complementary shuttle to and from the airport, and the staff is very kind and welcoming
Cons: Everything was as described, no disappointment
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Good rate, easy accessibility from highway, near food options and near airport
Cons: Much farther from Reykjavik than I expected, good jumping-off site for airport but not for the rest of the country...
9.0 Excellent
Pros: smorgasboard breakfast, location near the airport, free transport to and from the airport
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff - got helped with printing of boarding passes. Good breakfast from 4 untill 10 a.m. We were allowed to use kitchen for our needs. Thank you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and clean. The staff was nice and very helpful, and they offer breakfast from 4am which was very handy, since our flight were very early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, clean, spacious, unique
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything, the staff was extremely helpful and attentive even though it was the middle of the night, the shared bathrooms were the best I'd ever seen, well equipped kitchen and satisfactory breakfast, it was fine but don't expect anything special The airport shuttle is a big plus The room was spacious for one person Good price for Icelandic standards
Cons: The showers were steaming hot no matter what I did, and even after getting "fixed" by the receptionist it was still very hot, but I deeply appreciate the receptionist trying to help me out at 3 am! It is kinda close to the airport, but there isn't really anything in its vicinity. Since I only stayed for a night as my flight had arrived very late it wasnt a problem. This is not a con, but the hairdryer isn't in the shared bathroom, you have to request it from the reception desk, just keep this in mind.

Pros: Receptionist was endearing and very helpful.Bar was homely.
Cons: We arrived to the restaurant exactly 2mins after 9:30 (restaurant closing time) on a saturday night, and we were not served dinner despite the fact that at least 3 other tables were still having their starters (and the fact that the hostess herself told us that no other place would be available for dinner in Keflavyk). This is not the experience I would expect from such a hotel.

Pros: Great little hotel about 8 minutes from KEF. Staff was awesome. They served a great little breakfast that was free; and the served it any time of the morning you requested. Rooms were sufficient size. Bathroom was spacious. Everything was clean.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great to get to the airport and downtown. But, we had a car.

Airport Hotel Aurora Star - Keflavik - Building

8.4 Excellent (4,489 reviews)
S$ 227+
Overview Reviews
Airport Hotel Aurora Star is the most convenient place to start your journey around the natural wonder that we call Iceland. Being one of the most functional hotel you could find on the Reykjanes peninsula. Our hotel is only 100 meters from the Keflavik International Airport (KEF), making it an easy 3-minute walk to and from the airport eliminating all cost and hassle that comes with airport transportation, this combined with the restaurant and bar makes any trip outside the hotel unnecessary. Aurora Star is the only hotel or guesthouse close enough to the airport that you can travel to by foot. The hotel offers 72 rooms, single, double, triple and family rooms. Each room has a private bathroom, a seating area while also being very spacious with much room to make your trip home or journey as comfortable as possible. The rooms also include free Wi-Fi and continental breakfast.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: This is a nice hotel located 2 minutes from the airport. It is very convenient when taking a late or early flight. Beds were comfortable and place was very clean. Front desk staff was very kind and accommodating. There was an elevator for heavy suitcases (yes!), first hotel to have it since arriving in Iceland and staying in 7 different hotels. I was very happy with this hotel.
Cons: Only thing missing was tea/coffee and kettle in room, this would have been a nice touch.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was close to the airport terminal which was great at 3AM. I will stay at this hotel again.
Cons: I called GetA Room 3 times before I received an answer to my question. The answer came two days after my hotel stay, TOO LATE!!! I will never use this service again.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, clean hotel, good breakfast, great staff
Cons: Bed was poor for US standards, but ok for Europe standards. Lacking extra pillows, comforters.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, decent size room for overnight stay next to airport. Buffet breaky was yum, excellent for early morning flight
9.0 Excellent
Pros: - The staff were extremely friendly on the desk and very helpful when checking in. We had popped out for dinner after arriving and realised we hadn't sorted the free parking when we arrived, no problem at all they just gave us a ticket to put in the car, all sorted. - Had only booked a double/twin room but had been very lucky when checking in as without realising we had been given a lovely spacious room with 2 double beds! - Very clean bathroom, powerful shower and a clean room, nice facilities including a TV with a big choice of channels, kettle, desk..etc, perfect for a small or one night stopover to or from the airport. - We had breakfast included with our stay which was really nice before heading to the airport as the airport food can be expensive, they had a really nice selection of drinks and hot or cold foods, including cereals, pastries, breads, cheese, cold meat, sausages, eggs, bacon and more in a nice little restaurant area. - Great location, super convenient literally a 3 minute walk to the entrance of the airport or 2 minute drive to the drop off parking. I assume would be a small walk to and from car rental at the airport also! We were so happy about this as it really takes away the stress of travelling and being to the airport in time, especially for an early morning flight.
Cons: Only a couple of small picky things: - The mattresses are extremely soft, I didn't mind so much but my boyfriend is a bit taller and bigger than me and sleeps better with a harder mattress. Maybe a medium hardness would have been better suited for the rooms as a general choice for comfort for the average person. - The shower was great and powerful, but would have loved a floor/bath mat to put down for getting out of the shower. - You can hear some of the running water and sounds from the bathrooms either side of the rooms or maybe above, but it wasnt so disturbing for us.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I stayed overnight on a connection, which was not my planned route so I was in a terrible mood about the whole thing. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. I loved that it was right by the Keflavik terminal (they say five minutes but I walked there with all my bags in two and a half). I love hard floors in hotel rooms because it just seems so much more hygienic-- you can see how clean (or unclean!) the floors are and my room was immaculate when I arrived. The bathroom is very basic and the beds (I had two singles in my room) don't look like much but... THE BEDS AND BEDDING ARE PHENOMENAL. I slept so soundly and so comfortably I almost didn't want to leave. The comforters were just the right weight, the pillows were perfect. Seriously. After bed, I packed up and got ready, then crawled back in bed until right before checkout. The included breakfast goes until ten o'clock and had a lot of variety and was very filling. Checkout is at noon but they don't seem to mind you hanging out in their lobby for a few hours after. I didn't have a need for a car, but it's also by all of the car rental places-- I would suggest this hotel if your plan is to see a lot of things outside of Reykjavik while you're staying over (parking was also free I believe).
Cons: The wifi wasn't very cooperative and I had trouble connecting multiple times (they're individual routers rather than an integrated system your device roams on) but it eventually worked and was fast enough. I would agree with other posters that when you come in on a flight at midnight, it's confusing to figure out where it exactly is in relation to the exit-- a sign in the airport would be nice, but people are friendly enough if you ask.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Good value for the amount I paid. Location was within walking distance of the airport and rental car return.
Cons: No complaints.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: I showed up at midnight with my infant daughter. They helped take my bags to my room. They offered up a cot for her and immediately made it up with a nice clean sheet and baby duvet. There was a highchair in the dining area for her as well.
Cons: If I could have taken the pushchair from the airport to the hotel that would have been super helpful. I didn't ask though. Maybe you can?
7.9 Good
Pros: Close to the airport, exactly what we needed.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Location: 5 to 10 minute walk from Keflavik airport. Excellent Staff: I flew overnight and didn't account for the date change. Staff was very accommodating, changing my dates and even letting me check in early. Before we realized the error, they were happy to hold my luggage. Food: The breakfast buffet was just ok, but I enjoyed the chicken stir-fry at dinner. A seamless experience to land in the morning, store luggage, go touring for a day, then check an early flight out the next day.
Cons: Getting there: there is no side walk, so you must take a detour around the parking lot or walk more directly on the grass. This was more my/ reykjavik excursions fault: I asked the ticket woman from flybuss about the bus into the city, and she said every 10 minutes, I ended up taking my time at the hotel and missed the flybus. The next one would go 2 hrs later, missing my tour. I had to take a taxi. If you do drop things at the hotel, you should go back to the airport quickly as the last bus to the city tends to leave within 40 minutes of landing.
6.0 Good
Pros: Room was quite dirty and only one pillow each + no USB cable charger. Good points were the staff who were nice and accommodating. The food in the Aura restaurant was very poor. We had a brie starter which was frozen and not nice at all. We also both ordered pasta carbonara and it had barbeque sauce drizzled over it (not something that goes with this dish)
Cons: Better food and cleaner room
7.0 Good
Pros: It is very near the Airport.
Cons: The staff was not friendly.

Hotel Berg - Keflavik - Building

Pros: Very close to Keflavik Airport. Comfortable room, even had a bathtub, which was lovely after a day in the snow. Shared tea and coffee making facilities. Friendly staff, quiet location.
Cons: The location is quite a distance from shops and restaurants and there was no dinner available at the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to Keflavik airport. The hotel is located in a quiet area and the staff are very helpful. Hot water and good water pressure in the shower. The room was reasonably spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: The buffet breakfast had the standard food, but it was not tasty.

Pros: Customer Service was great!

7.4 Good
Pros: The staff were brilliant and great with our teenagers !
Cons: Hotel close to airport but slightly isolated from everything els , no restaurant .
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, not many other guests. Hot tub + sauna are nice, especially without other guests around.
Cons: Views from room where average, nothing special. No hot breakfast (besides toast).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice house in a very calm environnement. Beautiful vista and good location near the touristic areas. A hot tub was available for us to relax after a day of hiking in the neighbourhood. I recommend it !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Happy hour with half price beer and wine.
Cons: No tea and coffee available in room but only in breakfast room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was nice, very close to sadcars
10.0 Excellent
Cons: No free shuttle to/from airport...adds to cost of stay due to taxi fares.
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel cost is very reasonable given the facilities. Room was clean and large enough, bed comfortable, and the room had useful amenities such as desk, comfortable chair, toilet and shower. I took advantage of the sauna and jacuzzi, which were nice but nothing exceptional. They also have fairly nice exercise equipment. However, it really is located in the middle of nowhere with nothing else to do in the immediate facility (except go for a walk, but not what I consider a scenic view). it seemed quite costly to take a taxi between the airport and hotel. Cost of the two taxi rides was about the same as the price of the hotel. Cheaper than staying at Hotel Smari at the KEF airport, but I was surprised by the transportation costs.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel location to blue lagoon and KEF airport were great. was clean, friendly staff, breakfast was descent.
Cons: The noise in the hotel carried - and wasn't good for a light sleeper to get a good night sleep.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located within 7 minutes drive from the airport - very convenient, if you have early departure. As we arrived quite late and left early, we did not meet anyone from the hotel staff. This is my first experience of this kind, but I liked it. The coffee and tea are available in the common areas. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. Free parking for the hotel guests is available.
Cons: At night the guests are on their own - the owners do not answer the calls and there is no staff in the hotel. No possibility to have a breakfast in case of very early departures.

Pros: Great location for getting to the airport. The gentleman running it was very nice. Had a spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. Didn't get a chance to experience the breakfast, unfortunately.

Pros: Nice home for a one night stay
Cons: We weren’t allowed to use the kitchen for any cooking. There was no breakfast even though it’s listed as a bed and breakfast and we had to get our own taxi to the airport (reviews stated there was a free shuttle) There wasn’t much to do within walking distance.

Pros: Great location being very close to airport. Very good breakfast. Modern design and luxury settings.
Cons: Tiny bathrooms even in the deluxe suite, lack of hangers for clothes/towels.

Pros: Breakfast was brilliant and I can recommend it. For hot foods, they have bacon and eggs and sausages. They have cakes and pastries, cereals, fruits, bread, and toppings. TIPS: The included airport shuttle is a taxi they order for you. Do not worry, it was included and they paid for it. They will call them on the hour and half past the hour and you need to book it with the reception. My shower needed a good five minutes before it got hot, so make sure to allow time for that in the morning if you need to rush somewhere, like the airport.
Cons: My mattress was not comfortable to me. I docked some points off comfort for that. My fellow

Pros: Clean rooms, great breakfast and very friendly staff. Free taxi rides to and from airport. Great hotel overall.
Cons: Rooms a bit old fashioned and the restaurant quite expensive.

7.7 Good
Pros: Early breakfast buffet for those catching early flight out at the airport
6.0 Good
Pros: The restaurant was nice and the young waiter was very friendly
Cons: Check in took a long time but check out even longer almost 45 minutes! . Not great if you needed to get to the airport. .Also price for later check out was very expensive. Out flight had been delayed and it was cheaper to book night at another hotel than book a later check out here receptionist was not very friendly or helpful.. Also lack of bar area there was a small balcony bar which was full and due to workmen in the lobby nowhere for guests to sit.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Hot tub
Cons: When we arrive there was no heating so it’s quite cold and to be fair the staff did get a Dyson heater put up in our room the plug was broken we couldn’t drain the water out of the bath the ladies at chapter 7 no one showed us how to work the bath as it’s all quite technical which I thought was quite poor at work everything out ourselves so that’s hence why we’ve given you not a very good rate for the room we did complain I did the best they could the heating wasn’t fixed The night porter that was on was very accommodating it wasn’t his fault but that’s why we can’t give you a better rate in the morning there was no apology from the staff at reception to say I will give you a bottle of wine or a gesture token there was nothing.
