At pickup we realized the company has a long record of being a scam. There was another customer at the counter with us who was already upset and getting extra fees since his flight was as delayed even though cars were still available. It’s a trap as by the time you get to the car rental location, youre far away from the airport and most people have travel plans and a schedule they need to keep, therefore they’re desperate. After seeing how the other customer was treated including terrible attitudes from employees, and then reading reviews about deposits not being returned and so forth, we decided to not rent the car and pay more than rental price for an Uber in order to avoid working with this company. It made me realize i must think twice when booking anything through KAYAK.
Had to pay for insurance because an international driver license was required according to them it was twice the cost. When I went to drop off the system was down and had to leave without a receipt which I haven’t received yet. International license was not required when I booked it,
Impossible to locate their number or to know where the pickup point will be. This was a problem of KAYAK though, as no such info was anywhere in the voucher. Took us 90min since the time we got out of the airport until we finally got the car. The car was fine, an SUV (MG ZS) instead of an estate we had booked. Although this was an upgrade, we didn't get the length of space we needed (we were carrying skis). They didn't have another car available, not even at a higher price. The car wasn't washed, and although the rental agreement was full-to-full we got the car so empty that even the km left had dashes flashing. The staff were very polite though, and the queue was medium (15min wait)
They had 4 employees yet no one would help me in a line with only 1 other person being helped, waited over an hour just to talk to someone
Because I did not have an international drivers permit, they refused to rent me the car. So, I went to Hertz and they were happy to rent me a car without an IDP. I still need a refund… terrible that I had to spend my first day of vacation dealing with this.
Good customer service but bit delayed of lak of staff.staff tried their best but not enough staff
