The buzzy lobby, the bar, corner room on high floor
The shower could have been better. Water pressure is low. It was very difficult to regulate the water temperature. There was only a partial glass panel which meant water on the floor making it slippery. I felt cold because you could not enclose the shower and cool air drafted in. The threat of Legionaire's disease was not exactly a plus. The towels were thin and scratchy, not up to a standard to be expected.
Location was great, bed and pillows were very comfortable and the hot shower was fab!
The staff in L'Amtico. We tried to go in for breakfast one day and were told quite rudely that we could only have the table for 1 hour, fully booked for another evening meal request and on the day we left sat at the bar for a drink and pizza and again the bartender was very abrupt in his manner.
The location suited me.
Guest rooms are in need of refresh, they look tired with scratched and stained furniture. Stains on the wall. There is the impression that the hotel is run from the front desk by a group of inexperienced, unpolished young people who are not trained, or interested in, a genuinely positive guest experience. Some of the Vine waiting staff are surly and resentful and service could be better. Overall there is not a sense of being looked after.
There is currently a legionella outbreak at this hotel which you will only find out about once you check in from a piece of paper in the room. We checked out as soon as we could and did not use the bathroom shower sink or tub. The hotel still insisted on their full rate
Usually, we love the hotel.
We were disappointed not to find out about the legionnaires issue until we got into our room. As a result, we didn’t take a shower for two days. This was not our most fun stay at the Eventi.
