Pros: Great location, just outside Ouranoupoli but well within a short walking distance. The key to this property is the nearby beach which is wild and natural (postcard quality) combining both sand and pebbles and dramatic cliffs. The accomodation is clean and well eqquiped and Irini herself is a wonderful host that is very hospitable.
Cons: The beach is reached by a downhill footpath which could be a bit difficult for the elderly or people with very young children. However we had an one year old with us and we managed alright. Luckily the footpath is not very long. Just need to be careful not to lose your footing, really. If you are happy to walk a bit longer, there are easier to access beaches nearby.

Pros: I spent 4 nights at Pension Irini and could have spent longer there. The guest house is very attractive and in a quiet location about 10 mins walk into the town centre. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The balcony had a lovely view towards the sea from where I enjoyed watching the sunsets. Breakfast was very good and ample - fresh produce and varied from day to day. Loved the location, slightly out of town and near a beach. The owners were friendly, helpful and very kind to me. I was glad I decided to opt for Ouranoupoli as my base as there was lots to do in and around the area and it is a town with a real purpose as it is the base for pilgrims to visit Mount Athos.

Pros: Irini’s is a great host and really looked after us during our stay, my partner has gluten intolerance she went far to find some gluten free things to give my partner for breakfast. The room and balcony are cozy and clean, great location 10-15 mins walk to centre, restaurants and supermarket close by, also a quiet peaceful beach few mins walk from Irini’s place. Highly recommend.

Pros: We had an amazing stay at Irini pension! The apartment is great, very cosy, peaceful and clean. It also had everything you needed, even more to be honest. Irini and her husband were very welcoming, communicating with them was always a pleasure. They even gave us a present when we left. The location is perfect - 10 min to the city center and 5 min to the beach. Not least I highly recommend the breakfast!

Pros: We felt very pampered at Ayia Marina. The staff was very helpful, and left little treats like Greek cakes and sweets in the room for us. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room clean, and the shower hot and strong. Even the toiletries were wonderful, with an aromatherapy aspect to them. Details were really attended to, such as two different kinds of towels, one for the bath and the other for the beach. All day, fruit, candies, and filtered water is available for the hotel's guests. The included breakfast was varied and tasty, and there was a choice of a la carte in addition to the buffet, fresh eggs and baked beans. The hotel is well appointed, near the beach and restaurants, but not right in the middle of everything, so it wasn't noisy. We enjoyed our time there tremendously!

Pros: The hotel is really nice,new and stylish.The staff was extremelly nice and helpful. The rooms were so clean(although rather small) and they made them each and every day like new (also with small presents left in the room every day after the daily cleaning). There were enough wardrobs and cabinets for all the personal belongings and luggage.The cosmetics in the room were perfect,everything needed was provided (even mouthwasher).A lot of attention was paid to all the details in the rooms and in the hotel in general.The breakfast was exceptional and the place where the breakfast was served was very pleasent as well. I would highly recommend this hotel to the people passing through the town.The staff made all their best to provide high quality service to all the guests

Pros: Everything was truly amazing We were traveling with 9months baby.The room was exceedingly clean .big bed was enough for three of us,very comfortable! The kitchenette has every necessary to cook for a baby,the room is on the third floor,but the Host allowed us to keep the stroller on the first floor so going up/down was not a problem. The beach is in five min down the heel. In ten min walk there is a great cafe patisserie with amazing coffee. We totally recommend

Pros: The food was by far the best we had in Greece on this trip. The bread alone is awesome, the whole food at breakfast, dinner and in between was awesome and we wished the food was as awesome as in this place on our trip after. Really great! The villa itself with its three areas plus private pool was good, not the most modern style in the upper and sleeping rooms but pool and kitchen were very nice. The beach is super private, very nice to relax and stuff always around when you need something. Thanks to everyone from the team for our lovely stay!!!
Cons: The stuff sometimes was a bit chaotic, things did not work as planned. Everyone was more than friendly, that was by far not the problem. They made everything possible - just a few things got lost on the way, wrong room number marked for special orders etc. - besides that the room (had a presidential villa) and especially the pool area hat no sun after 3pm, that was a bit sad. Maybe it was because of the time of the year we traveled (late September). One thing the stuff propbaly could not do much against but was not nice: the dogs while eating. We really like animals and dogs, but they were super smelly because they seemed to be free living dogs and were just cm’s away from our food and always running around. Nearly ruined our dining that day, so really a downside - but probably not of the hotel. This is complaining on a super high level and we just want to give this feedback, the hotel is super awesome and a trip more than recommended.

Pros: The resort is very private and situated on a lovely secluded beach. We stayed in the Panorama two bedroom villa which was very nice, although the second floor is attic and wasn't very comfortable for my tall husband. There was a lovely handwritten welcome note and a complimentary bottle of red wine. On arrival we received a complimentary 30 min massage voucher at the beach cabana which was a nice touch and well appreciated. The beach is gorgeous, clean, well organised and there are beach towels provided for your sunbeds.
Cons: This property lost a lot of points on customer service. They have extremely poor service which does not fit a hotel of this caliber. The management should retrain the full set of staff in this hotel, especially in the beach restaurant. The welcoming reception service was polite, the only remark is that we had to bring our luggage by ourselves although we were told it will be brought inside. The worst experience we had ever in staying in a hotel worldwide was at the beach restaurant/bar: George the frustrated bar manager there is very impolite and has terrible attitude. Noone from the staff here has smile on the face and they all seem miserable. They have hard sale attitude which is shocking too. We received extremely bad service on few occasions during our stay; my advice to travellers is do not bother eating or drinking at the beach bar. Our overall experience is 5/10 at best. We will never come back to this place mainly because of the poor service.

It is built in the field, the nearest locality is 7 km away and for this reason in their restaurant an over 0.5kg costs 144 euro, a 5euro shrimp etc. It is a 3-star hotel with prices of 5.

Pros: We really loved it! It was peaceful, clean, relaxing stay in Pansion Katerina. 7 days were like 14, we had all the time in the world to rest. Athos has a lot to offer, nature and beaches are beautiful.

Pros: Everything was truly amazing We were traveling with 9months baby.The room was exceedingly clean .big bed was enough for three of us,very comfortable! The kitchenette has every necessary to cook for a baby,the room is on the third floor,but the Host allowed us to keep the stroller on the first floor so going up/down was not a problem. The beach is in five min down the heel. In ten min walk there is a great cafe patisserie with amazing coffee. We totally recommend

Cons: Terrible terrible hotel! We came there to swim with our son in the indoor swimming pool and to rest after a week of hard work. But the indoor swimming pool does not allow children (even though I called the hotel before the booking checking that it would be available for just that). The outdoor pool was cold and full of dirt in the bottom and wild dogs were walking around it. The bathtop drain was so full of hair and filth that it did not drain. They fixed that and left a bit of hair and filth on the toilet seat. In the night we did not get rested as the air conditioning did not work (they could not fix it). We were sweating and turning al night in the moist hot air of Ouranoupolis. Do not stay at this hotel. They do not care enough.

Cons: poor appearance of the building with too much concreet in sight. poor decoration. unacceptable bathroom amenities for a 4 star hotel. no bathrobes or slipers, shampoo and conditioner in an open-top bowl not easy to use. breakfast buffet poor and exposed to flies. poor value for money. while my credit card details were submitted for confirming the reservation only and payment was supposed to be made during my stay, my credit card was charged with the full amount few days after the reservation.
