Pros: I loved everything!!! You walk out of the hotel and you're on the beach! The beach bar (Flipper's) had some great drinks, and featured live music too! The kitchen also had an amazing menu (we ordered coconut shrimp, chicken quesadillas, and fish tacos-all delicious)!!!
The rooms are spacious, with a small fridge, microwave, and cabinet storage. Some rooms have a balcony so you can step out and smell the gulf breeze! And the beds are super comfortable, for a good night's rest!
And then there's the staff... Always willing to give suggestions, of things to do, provide maps or call car services to get you there... And generally showing that they are interested and cared!
Want to save a little money, there's a full grocery store across the street, liquor store too (and another a half mile down the street)! We didn't even need a car rental, having taken a $30 Uber from the Tampa airport!
Want to splurge a little? There's lots of great bars and drink specials up and down the beach... Everything a short beach (or sidewalk) walk away! Level 11 is a great stop to watch the sunset, with delicious appetizers, good service and a view that no one else on the beach offers!
This stay was priced so economically, that we were hesitant upon arrival, but on departure, determined that we'd definitely be back! This is a highly recommend place to stay!!! You can enjoy a lot of the benefits of other hotels in the area bars, restaurants, music, etc., But staying here saves a good deal of money making it a most- economical choice!!!

At Grand Plaza Hotel, the beach is always calling. Each room sits just steps from the beach, which year after year ranks among the best beaches in the United States. St. Pete Beach's sugar-white sand bordered by the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico make it easy to see why. Couple that with the destination's excellent restaurants, hotels and nightlife and you'll discover a vacation destination unlike any other.

Pros: Beach front. Staff was nice. Tile floors in the bedroom and bathroom which is great for cleanup but also makes it easy for bare feet to pick up all the sand and debris that you bring in from outside. Beautiful view from Spinner and Rooftop restaurants which also light up in colors at night. My kids loved the breakfast buffet $16 A/$8 C. Good for the value if you're hungry and like eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, grits, oatmeal and cereal in large quantities. Lots of palm trees situated around the back of the hotel partially shading the pool deck during the day and creates a nice setup for weddings. Water at the beach was turquoise and pretty but not clear. Calm waters in the mornings, a little choppy in the evenings. No big waves so forgo the boogie boards unless you just want it as a floating device. Parking was a hit or miss. Nice layout outside for parking and traffic flow but underneath the garage was a nightmare, not ideal for big cars. Good location for walking to other restaurants, stores and entertainments.

6.2
Pros: The hotel itself was nice. Not a lot of parking. The room was nicely decorated but the floor seemed like it hadn't been washed in months. We had a great view with a nice balcony but you couldn't sit out there unless you wanted to get blasted with the heat from the air conditioner. The air conditioner that didn't cool the room lower than 73 and would shut off at night which did not make for comfortable sleeping. The 11th floor rooftop lounge was nice. We had really good service and delicious martinis. Bongos has a cool atmosphere but the food and service were horrible and it was very expensive.

Pros: Liked the beachy/surfer "feel" of the location. I travelled in January and the weather wasn't great (windy and cold) plus there is some construction going on, mostly in the main lobby I believe. Pros: Postcard Inn was what we were looking for in a quick getaway over the holidays. We had a king size garden view room. We were on the top 2nd level, no elevator. The main hotel entry was nicely decorated, lots of hangout places, a big table with games (my daughter loved the 3D tic TAC toe). There was also a photo booth. The Boathouse was a restaurant attached to the lobby...no room service. The garden had lots of lounging places too. There was an outdoor pool table and ping pong. At night the garden was lit with lanterns, and there was a fire pit. There is a snack shack next to the beach bar which is on St. Pete's beach. The pool supposed was heated and looked awesome, but was closed.

Pros: We found our stay to be very relaxing, clean. Staff was great as well as amenities! All kinds of activities onsite. Plus.. It's on the beach and close to local attractions and thanks to their 'in-room' book, we went deepsea fishing and dolphin watching. Loved the decor and atmosphere!

Staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and I loved the decor - very trendy and beach-themed. Atmosphere was very relaxing and I will definitely go back.

Pros: Beach location. Music at two different Bar/Restaurants. Breakfast at the Rum Runners Bar Area was good and right where the beach begins with a nice view of the gulf. Housekeeping did a good job making sure we didn't run out of amenities, coffee or towels.

Pros: Still under rennovation, naybe when it is done...? Although it looks that what is already rennovated looks still cheap quality. Don’t think I will stay there again. The staff is super nice and location is perfect!
