Sofia hotels near National Museum of Natural History

Cons: No fitness center, no in-room phone for outgoing calls (the one available is just to contact reception), ironing board and iron only available per request from reception.

Cons: Central Hotel appears to be running a "bait and switch" where they lure you in with a great low rate (in my case £45 for a deluxe room) and then when you show up they tell you they're full and they transfer you to a different hotel farther away (in my case the Ramada which is not a Hotel I ever would have chosen although the receptionists were nice and helpful). The lady at the Central Hotel check-in said "this has never happened before" but a receptionist at the Ramada (rolling their eyes) said it happens 2-3 times a month. Kayak.co.uk should be aware of this scam as it is damaging to it's reputation as a reliable booking service. This was my first visit to Sofia and only had one day so the whole experience wasted my time and left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.

Cons: The wifi is ok, can send pictures but need to log on every now & then but works all the time. Breakfast is the same everday. I hope they do variations every other day? But its sufficient enough.

Cons: Excessively expensive minibar....daylight robbery..stock up beforehand!

Cons: Physical M&E needs a total evaluation. I suspect the chillers are way past minimal efficiency standards. Air conditioning does not work well at all. Very uncomfortable when temps reached 33C.

Cons: We were disappointed that there were no spa tab with the pool. The renovation construction was going on, the beautiful deco wasn't made well, the housekeeping doesn't vacuum and don't leave all towels and toiletries, one of the expensive restaurant doesn't have good food nor service, the elevators were breaking, someone got stuck..Just not professionally executed.

Cons: Nothing! We stayed six nights! What's not to like? Could the water pond be aerated better for carp to swim in it? Would add greatly to ambience!

Cons: -mattresses are old and springy. We were exhausted and slept well though.

Cons: Shower head broken and air conditioner barely functioning when I arrived. Staff fixed the shower but never bothered with the a/c. It was suggested I upgrade to a "premium " room for more money but I'm thinking even a standard room should have a/c. Also some thuggish looking weasels with mafia cars hanging around the tragically euro-disco bar. Very very 1980s.
