9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious, loved the bedroom, loved that we were able to cook at their kitchen. The vicinity was peaceful.
Cons: Interruption of electricity
10.0 Excellent
Pros: staffs have great hospitality.I dropped my wallet but they found and picked it to me honestly!
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was incredibly accommodating and welcoming and we were very impressed with the facilities in the room - clean and tidy! Rented bikes from there too which was useful , definitely recommend :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating owner. He gave us some suggestions for restaurant and they were all great. Room is clean, spacious, quite fancy with nice decor - something you could rather expect in a nice hotel but not in a family owned guesthouse! Very happy with our stay.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The design and specious of the room made us feel like home. The owner (Alan) is so helpful, generous. The car with driver for one day tour could be rented there. Highly recommend to everyone!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing host. All services offered at best prices. Convenient base for the island. Close to the top restaurant in Bohol. Comfortable and great value
Cons: Shower pressure was weak
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: + not too bad beds + good airconditioner, when turn on + enought electrical outlets + we had to be at 6 in the morning at Alona beach, owner took us with his car for 500 pesos (jeepney cost 25 peso/person but at 6 in the morning you have no choice)
Cons: - problem with water pressure in shower so you can not normalny take a shower - on the photos there is kitchen with microwave and fridge, in reality there is no fridge, no microwave which you can use - lack of fridge - lack of possibility of cooking anything - it was not even possible to boil water - we had to ask every time the owner to give us hot water...huge inconvenience - we decided to book more expensive - Comfort room, but we were placed in Classic one. Owner was trying to convince that this one was more expensive. Of course it wasn't - we showed him on booking.com that it was not true...so verry bad experience, we felt cheated - we didn't decide to swap on Comfort room, although it was much bigger - the humidity was awful and musty smell was disastrous (basement) - poky room - very small sitting area in front of house - uncomfortable pillows - room has west-windows so in the afternoon it was like in sauna, air conditioner was turned off by owner (with lack of fridge it is disaster) - price for the car for Bohol-trip more expensive then from Alona Beach

Pros: Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Bed was nice and water pressure was strong. Place was clean. Walking distance to alona beach.
Cons: The old lady who brought the welcome drinks didn’t like how our car was parked so we moved it. She then said rudely “ok NALANG na”. If there was a specific way that it had to be parked, there should have been lines or she could have just parked it for us. Electric kettle in the room was not cleaned coz it had dirty water inside. Safety deposit box had no simple instructions posted on how to use. They placed the entire booklet there for you to read and figure out.

Cons: No daily room cleaning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect! The view is amazing, the staff is very helpful. The house was authentic and clean. Thank you so much for the Christmas party we had offered by the owner.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff. When we were there they were having a Christmas party. We were invited for music, drinks and food and it enjoyed it a lot. Although we barely used it they have multiple pools which are very nice. Breakfast is delicious, must try!
Cons: Unfortunately there was a “plague” of lizards/geckos, nothing too bad, but we did encounter some lizard/gecko poop. Up on mentioning this it was directly cleaned!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, great vibe, deliscious food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, lovely pool and staff
Cons: Was a little hard to get to
7.9 Good
Pros: The restaurant swimming pool and room was fantastic .
Cons: The restaurant chef was slow at cooking the food took along time to come out. The check out was long and painful and was cutting into our day. The staff need to have a better system of communication and accountancy to recall all of our purchases for the services we wanted. We as customers had to tell them what we purchased so then they could bill us properly. Lucky we are honest people and we told them the truth what we owe them because they had no idea.. Not a good look on the hotels part ..
5.8 Okay
Pros: Marqis is set high above Baclayon, giving it a peaceful atmosphere with stunning views. The food was great and relatively well priced. The two infinity pools were lovely (one even has a slide!) and as most people are on the move during the day, you’ll probably be lucky enough to have them all to yourself if you choose to spend the day at the resort. The staff are also lovely and very helpful. They went out of their way to assist us with travel arrangements to our next destination, which was much appreciated.
Cons: As lovely as the pools were, no towels are provided for swimming. In a tropical climate, this means that you’re either showering or swimming - or both - with a damp towel for the duration of your stay. The issues with the amenities didn’t stop there, though. If you are thinking of booking a double room, my advice would be don’t. To say that we were underwhelmed by the state of the room we were given would have been the understatement of 2019. Only as wide as the length of a bed with little shelving and a TV from the ark, there was barely any room to move about. Adding to this, there were, for some inexplicable reason, two blankets on the bed - neither of which evoked a sense of luxury. The room also didn’t meet the expectation of having ‘ocean views’, as was listed under the features when we booked. But even if there was a view, the windows were such that you wouldn’t have been able to see it. The horror continued in the bathroom (pictures attached). While the resort was reasonably priced, this was in line with all of the other accommodation we had stayed in throughout the Philippines. However, our other rooms stood head and shoulders above what we were given at Marqis. While I wouldn’t normally have an issue with this kind of thing, the images portrayed on the booking.com page are miles away from what we received. It would have been nice to know what to expect in advance, especially seeing as this was the property we splashed out on for the New Years leg of our trip.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room had a wonderful view and we enjoyed the pool area. We only ate dinner at the restaurant but found the food to be nice.
Cons: You know when booking the location is a little out of the way so that is to be expected and part of the charm to be away from it all. Do bare in mind the extra costs of getting too and from the property. We found taxi companies cheaper than booking direct through the hotel but I’m sure it varies.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We're a couple who come to discover the Philippines, I really loved this place. The staff was great and helpful, and this is the place to relax and visit the island comfortably. The kitchen is excellent and the quality price is really well
Cons: Nothing to say

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the view in the morning at the small terrace.
Cons: Since Im doing paperworks I have difficulty with the yellow lights. I can hear the sounds of vehicles since its facing the street.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room number 1 has a large glass door that opens to a small balcony overlooking a busy street. The door managed to keep most of the noise out. The curtains were thick enough to keep the room dark when it got light at 5:30 a.m. Close to restaurants, malls.
Cons: The wifi was a joke. The hotel is in a dead corner, I couldnt even use my data. The main light did not work so the room was a bit too dark. The whole hotel looks pretty worn and outdated, it needs some refurbishing. The ac was rattling loud but during the day it could hardly cope with the heat.

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: We liked that deaf employees have jobs
Cons: We book for three rooms including family room. Our first night the family room did not have water at all. Staff asked us to use the bathroom in one of the two rooms we booked. The next day they asked us to use the bathroom of another room. Bottomline it was horrible..they even have the guts to charge us for a soda my baby took. Second day we checked out even if we paid for three days! They were even charging us for a baby extra bed. So bad and never again!

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, very spacious rooms, friendly staff, beautiful hotel. Love the infinity pools
7.9 Good
Pros: Location was excellent - close to the city and on the main road to Anda and Mabini, Restaurants all around. Very close to both causeways on to Panglao Island. So, in turn, very easy access to airport and seaport too. Views were amazing. Food was damned good. Value for money was incredible for what we booked. We ended up adding another night to our stay.
Cons: We found it quite funny that they clearly switch off WIFI at 2200 and back on at 0700, exactly when the restaurant closes and breakfast starts. Not ideal when you need to work, as I did and it all shut down. I also would like to see a bar to stay open later than 2200, I get the restaurant closing but... Also, it might need a lick of paint here and there and maybe some repairs on some ageing furniture and the like.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Pool facilities and view were nice Staff were friendly and food was very good, although breakfast was poor.
Cons: The pictures were very misrepresentative of the quality of the venue. We didn’t have hot water for the trip, even after asking and “fixing” 4 times. There was no safe in the room, Nor hairdryer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place is just relaxing. The ambience and the friendly staff will make you keep returning. Just that view when you open your room window from the pool area is just remarkable. Rooms are clean and spacious too. Been there for three times and it just became my go-to hotel in Bohol.
Cons: Maybe the hotel can add free slippers in addition to other free items in the room. Also complementary water.
7.0 Good
Pros: Value for money if you wish to stay in the city. Nice pool.
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff were very helpful. Food was good.
Cons: The hotel advertised free shuttle service but still charged for it during our stay. Online photos are a bit misleading as far as the current state of the rooms. Rooms are a bit worn down.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely good, view is breathtaking. Restaurant is highly recommended (you may also try Lantaw Native Restaurant 5 mins by motorbike), cleaning of the room asked daily by the maid (so it was optional every day). Free cold drinking water in each floor. Pools are great and the hotel also has chill zones.
Cons: The hotel is absolutely perfect for the first sight, however when you look the bigger picture, you may recognise the deficiencies, so all in all, small renovations should be managed.
