Pros: I was held up for three hours in Customs at Heathrow and advised staff that I would not make the first night of a four night stay. They were not helpful in assisting me in finding another Hilton. I specifically was told by the clerk on check out that I would not be charged for the missed night, but discovered that indeed I have been charged and I am writing sepaerately for a refund. Staff in the bar treated me like a vagrant beaucse my room was not ready and I only had casual clothes. It was only when I put my expensive suit on that I received decent service.

Pros: The hotel is fairly close to the center of town and is an easy walk to most everything you would want to see. The room we had was really comfortable and unique, not a chain hotel where all the rooms are the same. So that can be good and bad. I don't know what the other rooms were like but ours was really nice. The king bed was an actual US king size bed rather than UK kings which was a surprise. The bar was pretty neat also and we enjoyed a night cap there every night of our stay.

Pros: The hotel was perfect for me since it was in walking distance to everything. I had to make a desicion between sharing a bathroom and being close to the city centre for the money I wanted to spend. I made the right choice. I never saw anyone using the bathroom at the time I needed it. Breakfast was perfect for me with fresh croissants, home made jams and fresh fruit. The room and the bed were comforatble. But best of all the free Internet was strong and allways available. Some budget hotels provide free Internet, but it doesn't always work.

Pros: Cambridge is an expensive location by any standards. The hotel in question was generally excellent the only cause for complaint, apart from price, was that breakfast was not included.Bar service could be a bit slow but staff were very friendly. Location was excellent in fact hard to beat in this location and it was worth paying extra for the river view. Lunch in the riverside restaurant was dissapointing but again if you want to relax with a glass of wine and watch the river go by the food will not be your principle concern.
