Cons: I drive a Mini Cooper so when I rent cars I want a small car, not a Minivan, but these were the only keys the attendant could match to a car on the lot. Disappointed in this switch.

The drop-off in the parking lot across from the airport was very quick, convenient, and excellent.
Cons: I had to wait 20 minutes to pick up the keys, even though I was next in line. That is too long a wait.

Pros: Easy upgrade to midsize from the econo the office travel dept booked me for a reasonable rate.fast pick up even faster drop off. Brand new Camery was perfect with bluetooth, cruise and leather. This was El Paso TX so its not a real busy market.

Pros: They really helped me out despite multiple changes to my plans requiring extending my rental, then returning early.
Cons: The extra days that I needed to extend came at twice the rate of the original rental rate. I needed the days, so I had to pay it, but the price was certainly steeper than I would've liked!

Overall a Good experience and the Car was Clean on
Pros: Clean car and easy to access at Elpaso Airport. The staff was helpful. This was my first time using Advantage.
Cons: Lots of scratches and dents on the outside of the car but the staff was helpful on reviewing the car with me.
Cons: Nothing. I had a car already reserved and ready at 6 pm. I took a taxi across town and I show up and they did not even have a car for me. The man working rented the car even after I had mine reserved. Total inconvenience, I had to pay another taxi to take me to alamo car rental at the airport since it was already 5 pm and all other places were closing. Never in my life using hertz.

Cons: Your rental cars should have an AUX port. Everyone has music on their phones that they would like to listen to on the road. NO AUX PORT
Really should find another method of a deposit than having to have a credit card. Inconvenience. You lose potential customers because of this. They have the cash, not the card.

Bad communication led to frustrating pick-up/drop off
Pros: Car was in good shape, personnel were friendly and professional for he most part.
Cons: Calling ahead to confirm pick up location didn't work, since upon arrival to airport, Hertz agent tells me my reservation was for another location. They have no way (according to agent) to facilitate a rental made for another location. This is hard to believe.
Agent suggested to take cab and that other agency would reimburse because pick up from other location is supposed to take over 1 hr (other agency is 1.5m away). upon arrival to other agency, local manager suggests that emailed taxi receipt is not valid proof for reimbursement. Luckily, agent working with me suggested that I email him the receipt and he would print it. I'm thankful for his initiative and hope it didn't get him in trouble with unhelpful manager. Agent at location #1 failed to mention only up to $10 is reimbursed. My fare was $15.
We need agents to be transparent and to help facilitate our navigation between locations because of these mix ups. If calling ahead to confirm pick up location doesn't work, then we can only count on rental personnel to rectify these situations in an efficient manner.

Cons: No compass in vehicle, so handy for gps driving. No rear wiper -- good to have in rain, as experienced on my recent trip.

Cons: The vehicle had a slow leak in the driver's side rear tire. The rental agent drove the car prior to giving it to us so I think he was aware. Was an annoyance throughout the trip.

Cons: When I went to pick the ca.r The girl told me they did not have the car I had reserved. She wanted to give me a truck instead or rent something more expensive. After being upset I went to the Dollar counter to see if they had a car. All the sudden she came and said they had a car. I was there longer than expected because of this reason.

Pros: Pick up and drop off process were fairly quick. We declined roadside insurance and were informed it was not optional. At drop off, questioned the 'optional RSP' charge, they said it was optional and we could have it removed if we asked.
Cons: The car was not clean, there were old stains on the seats, stains on the door and cup holder from a drink.

Pros: I liked the cleanliness of the vehicle, and the fact that there were no mechanical issues. Even the windshield wipers were in good condition. That's typically the worst thing on rentals.
Cons: There is not much I can say I disliked during this time.
Pros: I requested insurance through kayak, but when i did the booking the app told me that it was not possible to rent with that insurance. Once in alamo, the insurance was 10$ more expensive...

Cons: They charge an extra $10 a day for a secondary driver. I have never had this happen with other car rental companies. We passed on having my wife as an extra driver for our 9 day rental.

Middle of the road.
Pros: For your money alamo has comfortable cars that function. Car was a Chrysler 200 and it drove decent with decent mileage for gas.
Cons: The car was very stained. Drivers seat had a sweat stain from the previous drivers backside. There were numerous stains from who knows what all over the headrests seats and doors. The car had 27,000 miles on it and it showed. At least they didn't charge me full price.

Free upgrade, surprisingly good gas mileage
Pros: I got a free upgrade to a Nissan Rogue on a one-way rental from Denver to El Paso. The vehicle was new, clean and had no issues whatsoever. The staff in both cities were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Cons: I don't have much to complain about, other than to say it was not the cheapest rental car experience I have had.
Cons: Confusing drop off after hours. Hard up-sell push.

Cons: Initially they didn't list the damage to front bumper on damage report when I first picked up the car. They had initially listed no damage to the car when I picked it up. I make it a point to photograph all sides of the rental car when I pick it up and before I get in. I pointed out the damage and they noted it.

Cons: When we picked up the car in Denver we were told that we could pay in cash at the drop off location. That information was incorrect. We also was shown a invoice of $220, but out credit card was charged $718.00.
There was a fee for taking the car out of state which we were not told or see on the invoice. Then the car was accidently checked in a day late by the employees so we were charged a extra day with late fees!!
This this day we are still trying to fix all the mistakes that were made by Budget!!!
Pros: Van was nice. Drop off was very quick. Except for a hiccup picking up the car, things went well.
Cons: We reserved our car from an Avis just outside of the airport for the Saturday afternoon when our plane landed. It would have been nice to know that this Avis location closed at noon (just before our plane landed)!!! Luckily the Avis agent at the airport was able to get us a comparable van at nearly the same price. that's a glitch that should be fixed in the future.

Wrong license plate
Pros: Free upgrade to a fully loaded suv
Cons: I was stopped by state troopers because the license plate on the vehicle was registered to a trailer and not the suv, so they thought the suv was stolen. Imagine the situation I was in, then it was very painful to get another vehicle plus Avis tried to charge me more when I turned in the vehicle after my trip.

Pros: I liked the ease of renting. It was a big vehicle and I had a lot of passengers. Gas mileage was good. A rock had hit my window and kinda spider cracked it. I got insurance through a 3rd party company, so I have yet to hear about the damage expense, however my overall experience was awesome! I'd like to give a shot out to Frank, he gave me useful advice and made me feel safe about my trip he gave me pointers and the dos and do nots about driving such a big vehicle
Cons: I didn't like that when I tried to call customer service about my window issue and resolutions they were actually closed. It was a Sunday, however, if people are going to be renting cars out all week they should be open in the customer service dept as well for any issues that may arise.

Excellent place to rent with no hassle
Pros: I was a great price and the vehicle actually was great on gas for long travel.
Cons: They gave me a bigger vehicle than what I originally had but I didn't mind since it was great on gas after all, and it was a very comfortable ride.
Cons: They gave me a car with issues. When I went swap it out the desk lady was no where to be found and I waited 5 minutes. Turns out she was hiding under the desk in the phone. Then they didn't have any other car ready and I had to wait 30 minutes. They finally brought a car out and it didn't match the agreement. They had to go back and get the correct one.

Gave me the crappiest car in the fleet
Cons: They gave me a loud, scratched up Mitsubishi that smelled of cigarettes and didn't even have a USB port to charge my phone with. Had to buy a cigarette lighter adapter. $100/day with full coverage. Should've gone to Rent-A-Wreck.

Don't buy the online insurance - buy direct from c
Pros: The vehicle was good and gas mileage was good too. Lots of room and was what we needed for our trip for our group of 7 people.
Cons: I purchased the online insurance not knowing it was not through the car rental companies insurance. On our way back to the airport to drop off the car a rock hit our windshield cracking it. When dropping it off we felt confident because we had purchased the insurance that all would be fine. When arriving and dropping off the car we discovered we would have to deal with the third party insurance company that we bought the insurance through to get the damage covered. I have not figured it out yet but am hoping it will all or part of it be covered. If we would have just purchased the insurance through the car rental company when we picked up the car we would have been done and all would have been covered. We just hoping this does not make a great trip end bad.

Rick Saved the Day
Pros: This all started / happened on July 20th, Thursday. What I liked about Dollar as a company in bullet form, because the stuff I plan on typing is very pointed at a particular couple of staff members.
Pros: Easy to reserve on the website
Rick was fantastic - prompt, helpful, and fixed the biggest issue we had.
Excellent explanation / upsell for return conditions ($25 for no gas etc)
Rick (El Paso Airport Dollar / Thrifty) is commensurate with what I want every customer service experience to be, and I sincerely hope this reaches him and his manager so he knows that his attitude and attentiveness are greatly appreciated. He righted the ship that Jacob (inside desk) ruined with his rudeness and poor service, and until my dealings with Rick, I had no intention of ever renting from Dollar again.
Cons: Cons list:
1) Jacob. I arrived at the counter inside ELP for Dollar / Thrifty and patiently waited behind a gentleman at the counter for approximately 10 minutes. At the end of this ten minutes after the previous customer had walked away, I approached Jacob (guy at the counter) and said hello. Without even looking up at me, Jacob stated "Go outside," and pointed in the general direction of the parking garage.
J:" Go outside, there's a kiosk in the parking garage, someone will help you out there." - again, never making eye contact.
My parting question to him was why he'd let us stand there for 10 minutes if he knew he was going to rudely refer us outside, and he ignored this and repeated "Sorry, go outside," pointing again.
The worst part about this experience is that Rick was EXTREMELY helpful, and apologetic for Jacob's attitude, even providing us with a manager approved upgrade - 'apologetic' not being a stance he should have had to take if Jacob hadn't been mistreating customers inside. Even worse is Rick is getting referred angered customers from inside, and I'm sure he got blindsided more than once that day.
TL; DR - People like Jacob (inside desk, July 20th, Thursday, ~3:00pm Local Time, El Paso Airport) shouldn't be the face of your company, unless you want poor reviews and a pissed off customer base. Get Rick a commendation or bonus or SOMETHING, because he saved this experience single-handedly.
Pros: Pick up and drop off was very easy, great customer service, very friendly, reasonable rates.

Pros: The car gets exceptional mileage! Twenty dollars to drive four hundred miles, our trip was forty dollars, gas wise. It was clean and comfortable.
Cons: That the website stated they had a car but didn't. That by half of the trip the car had non working tail breake lights. They charged me insurance for something broken! I didn't want it to begin with, the insurance.

Enterprise Rental was very professional, efficient and best price!
Pros: Ease of rental and return and lowest cost price for a one-way rental in the southwest.
Enterprise employee gave a tutorial on how to use the complicated radio and the instruction manuals were left for us in the glove compartment.
They called within a few days of our return to have us review their rental.
Cons: The 2017 Chevy Impala was a very nice car with two exceptions.
1. The visibility on the side windows and through the rear window is less then preferable. We had to be extra careful to look 2-3 times to be sure no car was there.
2. The radio connection to my iPhone was complicated and not intuitive. Could not switch easily between the radio and iPhone without having to reset the iPhone.

No rental car available
Cons: Arrived and there was no cars available after I made my reservation. Advised me to call in later and see if they could get me a car and that there was no guarantee they could give me the same pricing I booked online. Instead of asking for my phone number and name, they just handed me a post it with their phone number. Unproffesional, Kayak.
Pros: Car was clean and reliable. I drove a compact a little over 500 miles.
Cons: The fact that I got a credit card bill for over a hundred dollars more than what I had signed for at the time of the pickup. If I had not checked I could have been stiffed with the a rate almost equivalent to a plane ticket. Had to call and was told the computer system overcharged.
