Top tips for hiring a car in Prague
- Drivers should take care and note that public transportation has the right of way at all times in Prague -- this includes both buses and trams. The trams will often be on your left and it is easy to miss them, so be extra careful and keep your eyes open. Also watch out for yellow grids that mark where pedestrians cross to catch the tram, since you may not block or stop within the gridded area when the tram is stopped.

The pick up location was good and the people were friendly.Cons:
We had reserved an SUV and when we picked up the car they said we had been upgraded. As it turns out we were downgraded to VW Golf. We were barely got our luggage in the trunk. The car was OK but not the type we had reserved. They said it had GPS at no charge. Then the car came and did not have GPS so they put in one, then tried to charge us when we checked in the car. I knew there was a drop off fee but then the "upgraded car" just happened to be a Hungarian registered car which we did not notice because we were trying to cram all the luggage in. We were dropping the car off in Hungary from Prague. 300 Euro drop off to take a car back for them. Not a good experience in Prague. I believe we were overcharged based on my original rental reservation which seems to be a common complaint in your other reviews. Kayak should make some adjustments.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
Reserved a car, called them to make sure they stay open late since our flight was landing after their business hours, they assured me they will (2 months before the flight). Then our flight got delayed, so I kept calling them all evening to let them know but no one answered the phone. When we finally got to the airport to pick up the car, the whole place was deserted. No car, no message, no place to go, three small kids in tow. Everyone should stay away from this place!!!!!!!10.0 Wonderful

Location is hard to find - there are signs for all other rental companies around the station except for Sixt. Spent 30 minutes running around the station trying to find the office. There is no after-hours drop-off. I returned the car after 10PM and I had to come back next morning to drop off the keys.10.0 Wonderful

We came from a flight to pick the car at 8:25 ( not at 8 as i asked. There were no car and thay said its my problem that i wanted to rent it with KAYAK company that made mistake and overbooked cars without check the Dollar company so they dident let us car/speak with the mannager or anything and sent us away, after 3 hours of waiting there and please ask to help us get a car we saw that someone bring backcar and after long conversations they let us the car . I couldent find your phone number or way of contact but i think kayak and dorral company dident behave in the standart way of international company and i dont trust or recommand anyone use this companyies again. I will be happy to hear from someone from your company about it please because we paid more, we lost lots of hours in the airport and the main thing- the trust of this companies and especially -you - Kayak that got our money!10.0 Wonderful

I get an upgrade from a manual to an auto car. The car condition is very good and reliable.Cons:
the service could have been better, I have recently also rent a car in Slovakia and received a much better service with another provider. for comparison: I did not receive clear instruction on the location to return my car in Vienna and there wasn't a proper car-park to return the car, which of course i didn't know until i get there and have to make a detour with one passenger getting down to ask, where to drop the car. I have to drive up a curb which obviously is not clear to a new driver in town. All these could have been explained clearer at car-pick up (which compared to other rental company, they did explain clearly what to do, when dropping the car in another city). Please remember: we are new driver in town and need to know exactly all the small little details.SURPRICE CAR RENTAL
