Pros: Really friendly staff, lots of choice on the menu. Lovely room with amazing bath and comfortable bed.
Cons: An iron in the room would have been a welcome addition
7.0 Good
Pros: Bed, bedding & pillows so lovely, great hot water, very warm & cozy. Staff very welcoming, the most amazing breakfast & fabulous evening meal.
Cons: Unfortunately our room had some areas of damp & the bathroom needed some mechanical attention, someone in the room above ours was quite noisy.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all lovely - very friendly and helpful. The hotel is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Rooms are not as large as you would find in a 4 star boutique hotel, but they are easily large enough, I didn’t find it too small. Our bathroom however was larger than most and the shower was huge. The room was spotless and the 4 poster bed was very comfortable. The room had an ironing board and iron, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. Many hotels advertised as dog-friendly are merely ‘dog tolerant’. The Wychwood Inn however is genuinely dog-friendly! There is a large attractive garden, and a number of cosy areas to sit and relax. The overall ambience is of comfort and relaxation, but despite this careful attention is paid to the details and everything is done very well and is efficiently run. The food is very good. We had an evening meal as well as breakfast and both were excellent. It is well-located for exploring the Cotswolds and is excellent value. We would unhesitatingly visit again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the most comfortable room we had on our whole trip. Fabulous modern bathroom with separate bath and shower. Large room beautifully done overlooking their lovely patio. Nice area to lounge below with good restaurant and helpful staff.
Cons: It is not in a village but is more isolated. We stayed here mostly because it was a short drive to Blenheim Palace.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, friendly staff and good food in the restaurant. Breakfast was great both days with sensible breakfast times we would come back Comfy beds and good night sleep both nights
Cons: Room wasn't the biggest and would have liked a bath but I know not all the rooms have one.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. Food in restaurant very good as was the service.
Cons: Our room was good but the bathroom although large did need an upgrade.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly; very comfortable room. Great food! Clearly very popular with locals, and great atmosphere.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous breakfasts, lovely location and extremely friendly and efficient staff. Fresh milk in the fridge which you could help yourself to was a great idea - much nicer in tea than the stuff out of those little long life cartons.
Cons: Menu was perhaps a little limited on the Sunday evening but as we only wanted something simple this wasn't too much of an issue. We enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal on the Saturday evening which was beautifully presented.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful team. Warm and welcoming on a cold wet night. Good food selection and well cooked.
Cons: A bit noisy upstairs if you want an early night with the bar right below our room. Have to get out of bed to switch off the bedside light (too high up to reach) Short of shelf space in bathroom and shower cubicle.

7.0 Good
Pros: We loved the location, the hotel, the staff. The room was beautiful, warm and clean.
Cons: The Arial in the room for the TV kept going in and out of reception. But the biggest problem was the shower, it took ages to get hot and then it was a little trickle. I managed to get a shower with the small amount of water that came through but when my husband came to use it in the morning it wasn't coming out at all.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: perfect breakfast, staff were very attentive. puppy was happy and enjoyed the walks in the area
Cons: staff asking if drinks etc could be put on the room, then this incurs a service charge. we do tip.... cash is king

S$ 130+
Overview Reviews

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is very old and is beautiful. The bedroom was small but had everything that we needed. The breakfast was excellent, lunch and dinner were also good. Staff were welcoming and the atmosphere in the main area was excellent.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quaint , very special feel
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A truly unique and wonderful old pub, set in the middle of nowhere, yet strangely also quite close to Oxford and surrounds, this pub is among my favourite places of all time! It is an absolute time capsule, harking back to a previous era, but immaculately updated and modern. The stairs to the rooms above the pub are quaint and wonderful, full of history and a wealth of stories of times past!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting is idyllic in a traditional thatched village. Our room was full of character, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also well equipped with fluffy towels and complementary toiletries. We had tea and coffee making facilities in the room with bottled water and nice biscuits provided. We loved the open fire and our meal in the bar was excellent with a good choice of food to suit all tastes. I enjoyed the crab tart and monkfish. My husband enjoyed the excellent choice of real ales. Breakfast was also good with lots of choice for vegetarians and meat eaters. The staff were friendly efficient and helpful and the atmosphere at the pub was lively and friendly with a good mixture of visitors and locals. I would go back again and will be recommending The Falkland Arms to friends.
Cons: Nothing really although I couldn't fault my wonderful full English breakfast and there were apples and pears, I love yogurt and a good choice of fruit/ dried fruit for breakfast. Perhaps this could be made available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything Tom and his team made us feel we where staying in there home food amazing service amazing Bedroom beautiful a perfect stay can not wait to come back
Cons: That we had to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The manager assistant, Amy, was very feindly andd helpfull. The room we stayed in was unigue, large and comfortable, though getting up to flights of spiral stairs is not for everyone. It was, however, intriguing. The food was good and they were unusual in that they offered small portions as well as the usual rather large meals. They also helpful when we shared a a meal. There is a full English breakfast as part of the menu for that meal, which is included in the booking price. There was no Pub parking but we had no problem finding a space along the road despite the populaity of the esstablishment. There is a carpark nearby if you wish to use it. It states 12 hour max. but is not enforced with reasonable use. The whole aea is part of the "Estate:" so there is no council etc. Do not expect a city environment as Great Tew is a real Cotswold Village and the Faulkland Arms is a real old English pub. This is, of course, it's charm.
Cons: We only had two nights to stay there.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: We love this hotel, it's so cozy with the log fires in the bar and library. Breakfast was lovely. And our room was comfortable and clean. Only thing I noticed in the bathroom was a very rusty pipe near radiator, but it didn't spoil our stay.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room and very dog friendly.
Cons: A bit chaotic at breakfast meant having to ask several times for eg: more butter, tea, etc. Very first world problem but a bit annoying nevertheless. The thimble full of soup for lunch wasn't good value
7.0 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, good location, perfect for a short getaway.
Cons: Due to the age of the hotel the room was cold even with 2 radiators and electric fires. Very disappointed that the nespresso machine didn’t work
7.0 Good
Cons: Room was a bit cold. Water pressure in the shower was not great. Overcharged on the Dinner bill - this was resolved after I queried it. The bottle of wine that i requested for dinner was not available. No white pudding at breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked staff and chef obviously very good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautiful, in a beautiful setting and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had booked a trip to the Blenheim Palace Christmas event and unfortunately forgot to print our tickets but the staff were so helpful and printed them for us, which took away our stress.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic hotel in a great location ideally situated for exploring the cotswolds, the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable, we ate in the Restaurant, but there is also a great bar food menu.
Swan Inn - Burford - Building

S$ 194+
Overview Reviews

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms and location
Cons: Only a roll top bath for a couple who shower it was really impractical
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Inn full of history, great meals and staff.
Cons: Room not warm enough at times
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Fantastic
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable, although it was a bit too warm for me. This was my only very minor gripe as everything else was excellent. I had a three course dinner in the restaurant and ate every single scrap (the goat's cheese salad starter was superb). The dining room was very cosy, with an open log fire (and a pair of lovers sitting in front hogging it but that just added to the ambience :-)). Good choices at breakfast, and once again the there was not a crumb remaining of my full English.
Cons: There was nothing that had even a minor impact on my enjoyment of my stay.
6.0 Good
Pros: It is a basic hotel with no frills but clean and reasonably priced.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was good as was the breakfast!
Cons: The staff were nice but the service was a bit a bit haphazard.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Initial impression was overtaken by the realization that the accommodation was not in the pub, but a separate building across the road. Compact, clean and if a high standard.. Food was excellent - with a good selection of wines and local cheeses.. Garden area very welcoming in the late evening.. In short we loved our stay and would highly recommend..
Cons: Nothing..

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Inn has loads of character, we loved the breakfast.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Over night stay - friendly helpful staff, lovely food. Good nights sleep in an clean unique interesting building. Thank you
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Character of old building
4.0 Okay
Pros: The property itself is beautiful. The breakfast is excellent. It could be a really great hotel but for some unacceptable corners being cut
Cons: They rationed the heating, so the room was freezing throughout the night, early in the morning and late afternoon when we arrived. Not having heating on in 2 degrees in November to save money is not ok. Also shower pressure was very poor - like a dribble (and we had a premium room). Not good value for money given these things.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, making good recommendations for the local area. The service was very good and rooms were clean and comfy.
Cons: Everything was good. The only minor improvement could be to have some water available in the room.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Evening meal and breakfast very nice
Cons: Hotel was overpriced for facilities offered. Rooms dark and in need of decorating as did both the bathrooms. Tv did not work in room. Sink leaked, bathroom in bathroom did not work. Sunday night offers no facilities at all as staff and management not in the hotel. Bar closed, no fires lit and outside door locked.
The Lamb Inn - Burford - Bedroom
8
8.8 Excellent (543 reviews)
S$ 291+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at The Lamb Inn in Burford, you'll be in the suburbs, within a 10-minute drive of Cotswold Wildlife Park and Tolsey Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and helpful staff. The location is also good. Comfortable bed. One of the electrical outlets in the bedroom included USB charger sockets which is useful. Didn't try the restaurant in the evening so can't comment on that.
Cons: The car park is a bit of a walk, but that's the problem with the whole of Burford - parking is a problem! The staff are happy to help with bags though. Although the bedroom and bathroom were spacious, the sink in the bathroom was tiny.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Historic stone building, super atmosphere, great lounges bar and restaurant. Fabulous c.15 flagstones. Medieval feel with modern comforts and great artwork. Well maintained and managed, with a lovely welcome and good service throughout our stay. Restaurant especially nice, good for a special occasion, the cuisine almost faultless*. Great staff with a nice surprise for our wedding anniversary. *Scallops in our starter were very heavy on the salt, rest of the dish was fine.
Cons: Not much. Shower could be more powerful. Narrow staircase access to room 8 fine for us but might be a problem for some. Automatic 10% service charge in restaurant, I would probably have tipped the same.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The public areas are warm and cosy, upmarket country pub/home feel. Relaxed atmosphere. Clean.
Cons: Bathrooms could do with providing somewhere to put your own toiletries. There is nowhere ! And we had the four poster room, the Shepherd, so the standard rooms must be worse off. Unfortunately, we also felt that service had slipped somewhat. We have stayed before so we do have a comparison. Finally, can the kitchen staff make sure the dishwasher has done its job. One morning as many as 6 cereal bowls still had dried on cereal on them and my tea cup had dried dregs at the bottom, yuk.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with an excellent location. Good food, friendly professional staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent dinner - delicious dinner and generous portions. Sat in the bar area for dinner by log fire. Breakfast in the restaurant - plenty of choice as well as buffet style with fruit salad etc. Friendly attentive staff. Lovely quiet room (Barn) and gorgeous Molton Brown products in bathroom.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very cosy with the open fires

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and efficient staff, who were helpful and courteous
Cons: The extreme wet weather
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and facilities. Very comfortable.
Cons: A little mix up about number of guests. It seems our child wasn't included in booking. But this was more booking.com issue. No issues in the end.
6.9 Good
Pros: The free range bantams, rural location and friendliness of staff.
Cons: The restaurant in the evening wasn’t as comfortable as expected
5.8 Okay
Pros: Dinner was good breakfast very good
Cons: Hard to sleep due to a motor next to room which came on when hot was used
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very nice , room was comfortable and a nice view over the green . Staff very helpful and friendly , best part was the two pigs
Cons: The dinner menu , the one we saw on the internet only had seven main meals and four of them was fish meals. Didn't like the way a man was allowed to swear every other word when we went for a drink in the bar, liked to have thought a member of staff could have asked him to tone his language down a bit.

Pros: Location excellent
Cons: We have been many times before. Staff were not as attentive. The breakfast was on a hotplate so not hot. This is different from before and always had exceptional service. There seems to be a problem with food at the Bull and no one explained what the problem was
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly Breakfast really good
Cons: Bar lacks atmosphere
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The room, the quiet, the comfortable bed, the excellent breakfast (even though I only ate it once), the accommodating staff (thank you for my early morning latte on the patio).
Cons: Turning off the patio lights around 11 p.m. (midnight?)..... I couldn't have my late night read outside.... a small thing, but important for me. It would have been good to have a facecloth included with the room's linens.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, very comfortable rooms with everything that you could want or need.
Cons: Room outside need better locks on the doors because anybody can walk in from the road, also front door to outside room needs a lock.

Pros: Hannah and Becky were excellent hosts. Not only efficient but friendly too. They made our stay a pleasure. The breakfast was excellent too and it was great that we didn't have to get up early to have it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy and clean
Cons: Nothing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and looked after our every need. Room was very cosy and clean.
Cons: Cleaner did not clean the bathroom the one morning. The bath was left dirty, bin was not emptied and no spare toilet role was left and we ran out that evening. May have just been a one off and was mistakenly missed that morning.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very good, the breakfast excellent and the location perfect. The hotel has a great car park with spacious spaces. The staff were very accommodating and looked after us so well especially Hannah, thank you
Cons: The housekeeping was a little disappointing in that mud on the stairs brought in by someone was there for days and the room extras were not always replenished.

7.0 Good
Pros: Historical building
Cons: Close to busy road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely 500 year old hotel with cosy roaring fires and comfy seating areas. We stayed two nights and the food was always hot and delicious. It's very dog friendly and our dog was even given a bonio for breakfast. The staff are really friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we required. Our room was adequate in size considering the age of the hotel and it was spotlessly clean with lovely comfy beds. It had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay in the Cotswolds and would definitely recommend.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike - it was a perfect stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked this as it was very convenient for my trip to Broadway & Burford - very easy to find and well signposted on the main road with plenty of parking and a petrol station next door. Really nice place, smart decor, plenty of space and the breakfast couldn't be faulted. Staff were friendly and efficient and as a lone traveller I felt right at home.
Cons: I was in the coaching block annex on the ground floor which was really comfy and spacious - it was slightly marred by the person upstairs who was up and down like a yoyo and kept slamming the outside door every time they went out. Perhaps a sign would do the trick?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed one night due and we were attending a wedding at the Stone Barn a few miles away but our experience at the Inn was very good. The staff were excellent and were kind enough to let us check in at 1pm so we and on leaving a gent (I should have got his name! Possibly the owner?!) gave us a lift to our car which was at the wedding venue as we couldn't get a taxi anytime soon. The building is beautiful and quirky and the room was large and comfortable. It was a shame we didn't get to spend more time there but what time we did have there and our general experience was spot on.
Cons: Nothing.
7.0 Good
Cons: Shower could have been better .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great evening meal and a fantastic breakfast.

Pros: Everything good, nice room, pleasant staff. Good continental breakfast included in price, even on New Year’s Day and good selection of cooked breakfasts at extra cost.Ate in Restaurant without booking and had very enjoyable meal.
Cons: Nice location but not that easy to find. Had to use iPad maps which we usually manage without, but no problem using that. Couldn’t find way in after evening out. No lock on main door which was closed. Side entrance at front has to be used in that position, but cannot see the plaque to tell you that as no light on it in the dark. We ended up entering through the kitchen!
6.7 Good
Pros: Conveniently located to Burford High Street. Good spacious car park.
Cons: Rooms are quite dated and need an upgrade. Staff not very interested in their clients.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Comfy bed, decent location.
Cons: The shower did not work. We left feeling grubby, disappointed, and frustrated that the reception didn't acknowledge the problem.

Pros: Staff making us feel well taken care of.
Cons: On a busy street
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location to explore
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed for one night but it was great to get there and park at the hotel, book in dump our bags in the room and have a couple of drinks in the bar. We had a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit basket in our room, we chose to eat in the bar, we could have eaten in the restaurant, the food was gorgeous and the staff very friendly. it really is a beautiful old hotel a good breakfast in the morning. I probably would not have chosen the four poster room if another had been available, just because of the extra expense but on the other hand we do like a room within the hotel rather than in the courtyard of a hotel
Cons: nothing to fault
6.7 Good
Pros: Excellent food and very convenient location
Cons: The fire alarn at 2.45am with no guidance or advice from the staff as to the problem
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, high standards but a relaxed and warm atmosphere. Really good food, very nice bar with good beer and a log fire (it was November after all), rooms clean, comfortable and well appointed. Popular with the local community too, always a good sign.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location, with great facilities and excellent staff. Spa was lovely too.
Cons: Unfortunately there was a large rowdy wedding on who disrupted my stay. However this was not the hotels fault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location makes it private! Lovely staff that are very helpful! The restaurant and bar was clean and food was lovely
Cons: Mattress wasn’t that comfortable and shower water pressure was quite weak
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice location, really good restaurant, great view from balcony.
Cons: Seemed a bit short staffed at times, the deluxe bed was just two single beds pushed together
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Love the balcony on the rooms and the rooftop spa. The bar was excellent and staff really friendly. Beds comfortable
Cons: The room wa so hot we had to sleep with the door open meaning broken sleep as moving between hot and cold all night. The shower water pressure was awful

Cons: A gym and swimming pool would have further enhanced the stay.
