The car was clearly a former Uber with the permit and "this ride might be recorded" stickers. Something oily was sprayed on the inside of the windshield making it very hard to see and when I tried to clean it it got streaky and worse- I used Windex and then a kitchen cleaner and it was still difficult to see through the streaks to the point where it was unsafe. The car also had paint pen writing on the rear drivers side window which I had to scrape off. The interior smelled like someone tried really hard to cover up stale smoke.
Their team were understaffed, under supplied and crabby at pickup. There was a noticeable deficit of “normal” cars, and they were often trying to convince people who had booked economy to take a mini van. On return I needed to adjust by 30 minutes to accommodate flex in a travel schedule, and their phone staff were dismissive and rude. They charged me a silly fee, despite the fact that when I arrived, the location was CLOSED, so it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. I will NOT be using Hertz again.
they were closed on july 4th, the first day of our rental, and when they were open on july 5th, they didn't have the van available. never renting from hertz or through kayak ever again.
this location for pick up was the worst managed hertz or rental car in general ive ever experienced, will never rent from hertz again
I don’t like that hertz said they would rent a car to me with a pick up time of 12:00pm even though they close at 12:00pm on Saturdays and refuse to service anyone who comes after noon. YES, I was a few minutes late to pick up my car that I reserved for pickup up at 12pm but WHY would they even let me pick a check in time that was the same as when they stop working??? Why not set the latest pick up time 30 minutes before closing????? Why hertz??? 🙁
They lied to me for me to book the reservation, and the staff at the counter is super disrespectful. Super like unpolite rude to the people and the staff on the phone is Now pretty much any better very bad experience.
