10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was extremely clean. Towels and all was disinfected. Felt like it was a luxury hotel. Very good value for money. Good spread of international cuisine for breakfast. Very close to kfc and other outlets. Friendly staffs.
Cons: Nothing bad about the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is normal but the location is good for travelling
Cons: nil
6.3 Good
Pros: nice hotel helpful staff average breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kids family room at the corners of each floors is huge and comfortable. Location is excellent, breakfast is not bad with authentic guilin noodles.
Cons: Normal family room is not so big.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Localization in the center of the town, walking distance to local attractions.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location very central so it is easy to walk around and enjoy the beauty of the place. It is very clean and well maintained. The information sheets in the entrance hall with suggestion of what to see and how to get there written both in English and in Chinese were really appreciated.
Cons: The Internet connection in our room was very poor perhaps because we were at the end of the corridor. The breakfast was good but i would have loved to have a selection of western food and pastry. The hotel should provide a free English city map to help customer to navigate around the city and fully enjoy the beauty of the place. A swimming pool would have been the cherry on the top of the cake.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was great and spacious. It was a family room so it had a tent and toy for kids, which is a very nice addition. The toilet had flower petals floating in it. Toilet has a sos call out and connection to reach out to the front desk which is great in case of emergency.
Cons: Having forks and knives at the breakfast area. We carried our forks so it was not an issue for us.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff was helpful
Cons: Room had a strong musky smell, looked old. Unlike the photos posted
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Helpfull staff that arranged our transportation to our next hotel in Yangshuo. They also spoke verry good English and the room was verry nice looking and clean!
Cons: None
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff; The room is very clean and the cleaning lady is very helpful and communicative; Very tasty noddle soup in the breakfast.
Cons: A bit noisy in the early morning (after five am) as the hotel is right next to a busy road and junction.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at reception were enthusiastic, efficient and very helpful. They helped us a lot with our onward travel to Yangshuo and finding our way around Guilin.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was extremely nice, we got an upgrade free of charge to a king size bedroom, very friendly staff and English-speaking
5.5 Okay
Pros: Big room. Friendly and helpful staff. Lift available. Check-in is good.
Cons: It’s a smoking room as there were ash trays about. There weren’t any non-smoking rooms? Just a slight residual cigarette smell in the room. Breakfast is average and noted most hotels have similar breakfasts bar one that is slightly better. No coffee or tea but there is a kettle!
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel helped us to get tours what we wanted. City center and tourist attractions can be reached by 30 min walk or by taxi which costs less than 2 euro.
Cons: The room was clean but the floor carpet was very scuffy, so the hotel provided slippers for guests.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel staff are very helpful and picked us up from bus station. It was however a very bad decision to take bus from the much-safer nearby Yangshuo as station is not safe and my girlfriend had her mobile phone stolen while we were taking down the luggage from bus. So we didn’t get to enjoy much of our three day stay there due to this very bad experience. However on the positive side, hotel staff were extremely helpful and drove us to police station (which were useless and no help at all...).
Cons: Nothing bad to say about hotel, apart from the city it is located in not being safe at all. Always have to be on the lookout as standard of living in Guilin is very low and there is a lot of theft. My girlfriend had her phone stolen immediately when we arrived at the bus station and it ruined our stay there.

ibis Guilin Railway Station hotel - Guilin - Building
5
9.4 Excellent (1,973 reviews)
S$ 36+
Overview Reviews
The Guilin Railway Station Hotel is located in the center of the Guilin downtown, adjacent to the Guilin city emblem elephant nose mountain park. It only takes about 2 minutes to walk from the railway station and only takes about 10 minutes to walk from the two rivers, four lakes, and the day and day Twin Towers. It is only 3 minutes' drive from Guilin people's Hospital and 181 military district hospital.
7.9 Good
Cons: Staff could not speak english, which was a bit surprising for an Ibis / Accor hotel; they did their best though.
6.7 Good
Pros: The room and the bed are not bad. Standard quality. The price/quality relation would be not bad if not for the things I highlight here below
Cons: They give us two smoking rooms, so very bad smell The whole hotel smells like humidity. The corridor carpet was unclean, full of stains. No translucide curtains in the rooms No breakfast. Staff doesn't speak English.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel located nearby Gulin Central railway station. Provides quite noticeable contrast to gloomy surrounding residential buildings. Modern and spacious room gives you feeling of security and comfort away from chaotic mess of Chinese streets. No breakfast was included. Guilin attaractions are within medium walking distance. Please note that this hotel is quite far away from Guilin West, Guling North railway stations or Gulin South bus terminal. If you need any of those maybe it is worth looking for another hotel. Please also note that there is no bus terminal anymore near Guilin Central railway station to go for Yangshuo. You will have to either use tourist offices or omnipresent touts offeting private transfer. If you want to use public bus for Yangshuo you need to go to Guilin South bus terminal by bus K99 from the city center.
Cons: Nothing really worth mentioning. Staff is not speaking any English, but can help you using translation app.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was good but I got there late and there wasn't much left.
Cons: Have someone who could speak some English. I had to show them a photo of the electrical adaptor needed to get on the internet. At first they told me to buy one I said how am I supposed to do that. I told them they need to have one on hand for visitors. They finally came up with one. I was really happy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: clean and location near the train station
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful, though the travel rep was a tad misleading. Air conditioning worked very well
Cons: I was not keen on clear doors to both the shower and the bathroom, as the angle meant that people in the building opposite would be able to see me in the shower, had i not drawn the curtains.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything especially super clean rooms
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean, comfortable and large room. Staff spoke no English but tried to help.
Cons: No restaurant. Tour desk not helpful.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Rooms are clean and nicely decorated, food at main restaurants is quite nice, swimming pool is a bonus Tourist agency in the hall is helpful in providing tickets to the city main attractions Hotel generally is clean and looks good (not counting some kitschy corners)
Cons: Well, this is the worst hotel i've visited so far, if you are attracted to the hotel style and decoration, beware, it is the only positive thing about that place, Most of the staff (with some exceptions of course) is ignorant of how hotel should treat his customers and behaves with the epic arrogance, imposing untold rules, do's and do notes without minimum of respect Be ready to continually demand all and everything otherwise they will default to absolute minimum provide you with the worst option they have (Just one example: Paid mountain view - got parking view, demanded the room change but mountain wasn't even close to one on the photo of the room they sold) Probably due to hotel management and quite strangely for china, most of the staff have angry faces and demeanor Aircon in the rooms is so inefficient that it took days to make room acceptably cool and i'm not really exigent person Cheap plastic carpets stink a bit in too hot rooms until it cools Overall it is not an relaxing and pleasurable experience you would expect from your holidays
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Luxury and clean with polite staff
Cons: Breakfast
6.7 Good
Pros: Clean
Cons: Facilities
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great rooms and lots of variety at breakfast.
Cons: Swimming pool was dirty and is an extra charge. Very little English spoken

Pros: This is a very nice hotel , close to every attractions ,taxi around $15 can get to you almost everywhere, room is large and nice
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful palace!
Cons: Nothing.
6.7 Good
Cons: Key cards given by front desk did not work on 3 separate occasions. We had to keep calling for someone to come up and unlock our door and it took forever. Then the manager said she would comp our breakfast and when we poked at our bill it was charged to us.
7.5 Good
Cons: Taxi driver in front of hotel, they will cheat and bring you to join expensive local tour.

All of them speak English very well. The interior of the hotel is dominated by wood material which designed to provide you with a relaxing feeling. I was amazed when entering the room it was so clean and the interior stuffs are very artistic and looks new. All equipments are working well including those in the bathroom. Pros: Everything. The staff were extremely helpful and Ashley was excellent. What a great place to stay! Combines Chinese culture and great comfort.
Cons: We liked everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked two rooms at this property for myself and my colleague. The front desk ladies were amazing as their warm welcome have made a positive mood after our long flight from Jakarta. Their English was excellent so you may ask anything you need to know about Guilin without doubt. The lobby interior was relaxing while the room was very clean and neat. We really got beyond the price we’ve paid. Since we are in a group of four, the owner borrow us a portable modem so we can connect with internet outside the property. We stayed there for six nights and we got once complimentary simple and delicious dinner plus a bag of gift at our last night. Definitely recommend this place and will stay here again when touchdown Guilin.
Cons: None.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They sat me down and brought me tea before checking me in. Luxurious and relaxing. The room was beautiful and comfortable. For the price I have never seen such a nice place. I also liked the hotel pets.
Cons: The breakfast room is a little more utilitarian, and maybe out of keeping with the rest of the place, but the food was good and there were various options for different tastes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service at Zen Tea House Seven Stars Park was exceptional! Pauline went every extra mile to give us information we needed and saw to every detail of our stay, she knew exactly when to walk side by side with us gently giving us tips on what to do and see and when to step away to give us some space when we wanted to laze around to sit with the resident cat. Definitely one of the very best we have ever met! And there was also Chris, our personal guide, who spent an entire day bringing us to the best sights in Guilin/Yangshuo. He speaks excellent English, which made it easy for the little ones to understand some history and stories shared by a very knowledgeable him! Do look for Chris at Zen Tea House Seven Stars Park if you need a guide! Must say we enjoyed very bit of our stay at this warm cosy charming house with good people and beautiful animals - surely, it exceeded our expectations!
Cons: No gripe!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an amazing place that exceeded our expectations in many ways from the careful planning to the serene design and all the thoughtful details in the rooms that turned our stay more into a friendly visit. However for that biggest contribution had the staff of the hotel - Diana, Pauline and Ashley who were always very kind, helpful and treating us like friends. Thank you so much for the Christmas card and lovely gifts! Our kids loved most the pets - Dumpling, the cat and Cindy, the dog :) XOXO PS: breakfast was delicious and available for take-away which we very much appreciated :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel it’s decorated with a beautiful personal Touch and extraordinary furniture. Room was big and cosy at the same time, really really nice. Bed super comfortable! The staff was totally helpful, nice English spoken. Finally the location, it is perfect. Quiet enough for the city centre, but walking distance from almost anything you feel like visiting. The Hotel is by one of the central lakes, so the views from the room and the 5th floor restaurant are amazing. We were glad to be there!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Facilities were great. Breakfast was good. Staff excellent. Beds comfortable. Loved it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly, the hotel location was excellent. It was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Their black tea was the best I tasted in China.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Unbeatable location. Staff at reception efficient and helpful.
Cons: Excellent place for breakfast with very low quality food. No choice in the restaurant, in fact unusable.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location for sjghtseeing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great place to stay. The location is overlooking the river. The open air restaurant is a lovely place to spend time as we did on a rainy day enjoying good coffee and breakfast. The staff is exceptional. They really care about their customers. The wifi was much better than I thought it would be. The bathroom was good as was the bed. I had a covered balcony outside my room which I used to watch the activity on the river.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are really lovely and speak fluent English. They want you to see the best of Guilin so will go out of their way to provide the best service and advice possible. They provide a free guided tours around the lakes in front of the hotel, free tea tasting and give tours round the museum. It was a cultural experience itself to stay here. The breakfast room had a beautiful view over the lake and had both Western and Chinese options. The location was perfect; you are in walking distance to all of the sightseeing attractions and the hotel organised a river cruise down the Li river to Yangshuo. Really great service and nice hotel.
Cons: The actual rooms themselves were a bit run down and could do with a freshen up but I know that the day after we left the hotel was closing down for two weeks to renovate so I have high hopes it will be fantastic! I would still recommend people to stay.

Pros: It’s very central and quite easy to find.
Cons: The floor in the rooms is just concrete, without tiles or carpet which means it’s a bit cold.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location, near the attractive places in Guilin, and staff very friendly and can speak English
Cons: The room a bit old.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super friendly and helped with all the questions/ problems that I had. The room is big, the bed is comfy and equipped with everything, the location is also great.
Cons: Hot water was sometimes not so hot
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed has heating element, warm and comfortable. The lighhting is good. Clean bathroom with shower and toilet. Warm water is available all the time. A minor feeedback on room heating. We discovered the top window was slightly open ans didnt realise it until 3rd day. The room is a bit cold due to that eventhough the heater is on. Possibly during room cleaning, the window was open for ventilation. It needs closed after that. Customers might not realise it.
Cons: See my comments earlier on. I accidentally combined with what I like.
Guilin Bravo Hotel - Guilin - Building

Overview Reviews
Located in Guilin (Guilin City Centre), Guilin Bravo Hotel is within a 5-minute drive of Elephant Trunk Hill and Liu Sanjie Landscape Garden of Guilin. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything except the breakfast.
Cons: The breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: property looks new, grand entrance, everything seemed quite fresh and shiny. staff speak little english but not a problem. Rooms were well equipped bed was very comfortable. little disappointed in the gym, several running machines and a single multifunction machine. location nice, opposite a lake, peaceful and quiet. close walking to downtown. my only concern was breakfast. The restaurant is badly laid out, designed too small for a large hotel and has these huge chairs ( completely oversized ) which make walking around the dining area almost impossible. Went for breakfast at 7;30 it was full. hardly any place to sit and was chaos. you cannot pass by another person without moving chairs to pass. the buffet was a bit sad, most people forming a queue to get eggs which was around 6 - 8 people and one egg chef. I abandoned that idea and went for coffee however they are only serving tea and coffee from a drip machine which was emptied in about 5 minutes. suddenly there was chaos in the buffet area with no tea and coffee and a long queue was disrupting the flow. the chef and multiple staff where just standing in the dining area looking around in shock and not knowing what to do. I complained that tea and coffee was not adequate for so many people and they stated to serve drinks at the table because walking around and going back and forth was like trying to find your way though a maze of chaotic people all confused and bothered by the fact that carrying a plate of food was almost impossible. I would say the breakfast was a disaster and they need to scrap the entire design and change the tables chairs and layout. also provide a fully self service tea and coffee and have more people serving fresh products like eggs.
Cons: dining room... a total nightmare
7.5 Good
Pros: Centrally, clean , comfortable
Cons: Carpet in bedrom, big and upersonal,
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, near the lake and old gate of Guilin
Cons: Swimming pool is not too big and overcrowded with families with children
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice service. Nice location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice service. Nice location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I've stayed here several times now. It's convenient for the central Zhong Shan Road and there are a couple of markets within walking distance. There seems to have been a major revamp since my last visit, and although some may find the new decor a little "over the top", it's clean and fresh. The Western restaurant at breakfast has a reasonable choice of food, some Chinese, some Western, though I didn't take any other meals here. The walk along the lakeside opposite is beautiful and provides a route to the centre away from noisy roads. It's definitely worth checking for good price deals, for example via Ctrip. Be careful, I once accidentally booked a suite for USD 20,000 (got mixed up with the currency and number of zeros!), but luckily some intense pleading got me off the hook. Would definitely come here again.
Cons: Sometimes finding a taxi here can be a problem, though when the hotel called one for me, the charge was not unreasonable. Getting here from the airport directly requires a taxi, though this time I took a public bus to its nearest stop and walked the rest of the way (about 30 mins). In the height of summer, this might not be very pleasant, but in November it was fine.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Large and good entrance - friendly and welcoming people
Cons: Location is a bit off site
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are clean and big enough. The hotel is a few minutes away from the lakes and the pagodas, so in a very good loaction. The staff was helpful and spoke enough english. The breakfast was good.
Cons: The carpeted floors are a bit old-fashioned.
7.5 Good
Pros: For one of those big hotels that cater for big tour groups etc it was pretty good, and the location to the centre of Guilin was decent. There's a little street just next to the hotel with lots of little bars, which we really enjoyed. The room had everything we needed.
Cons: There was a big selection for breakfast but I wouldn't say it was amazing. Everything tasted fine. Chinese & Western options available.

Cons: Tear and wear inside the room. Bathroom is too small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful interior, impressive building, large rooms, good service
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was clean and the location was very good.
Cons: There was a conference in the hotel that for some reason needed blasting music in the main hall starting at 7am followed by extremely loud proceedings that went all day. Note the main hall faces about half of the rooms in the hotel so this was literally pumping music into the majority of their guests rooms. At 7am. There was no notification or warning about this, either. As a bonus: I asked for a free breakfast to make up for this and so had the misfortune of trying their breakfast. I ate mystery meat on sticks on the street in Guilin and didn't feel as sick as I felt after their breakfast. This place is a mess.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were a great size, swimming pool was lovely (remember a swimming hat or buy one there for 10RMB), beds were comfortable and the location was perfect as you could walk everywhere.
Cons: Some of the staff were rude. The rooms are a little dated even though the rooms are very big and spacious, little things like the air conditioning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely and very helpful hotel in the very heart of Guilin's most beautiful area. Many lovely walks are right outside the door and also many bars, shops and restaurants. I would stay here again anytime and recommend it to others.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The lobby was huge and sterile but staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Beds in china are a bit too firm for me but the linens were very nice. This hotel is in a perfect location with the lake in front and he pedestrian mall behind. I would 100% stay here again if I returned to Giuliin.
Cons: TV list claimed two channels in English but there were none. I did not eat in the hotel. The restaurant I saw was huge and uninviting. I found great food off the pedestrian mall a couple of blocks from the hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Right opposite sun moon tower, with central square on one side and walking street on other, the hotel is almost at perfect location.

Cons: No negative feedback

Pros: Beautifully designed room in a great location in central Guilin and close to the river. Easy to get anywhere in the city on foot or by bus. Free dumpling making party on Sunday was a nice way to meet people and grab a free (and delicious) dinner. Lovely banana pancake breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The school next door is a little noisy at times (especially the school bell at 7:30am which woke me up). The shower temperature setting was temperamental.

7.1 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: Unfortunately they couldn’t help us very much with our bus, said they never heard of this one. But we get it by ourself ! If you need to take a breakfast before going come very early, because even if you ask the day before to be as soon as possible since 7:30, they don’t take as granted so we have to wait that other people get it before us !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hostel in the central location, right next to the lake. It is well-equipped, the atmosphere is great and very international, and the staff can speak good English. They organize tours around Guilin, too. Check-in and check-out was good, plus they offer good food (We tried continental breakfast and dumplings). They even have VPN network in the common hall. We loved the hostel and we loved the cat, too!
Cons: Keep in mind that it's very cold in this part of China in winter (we came in January) and it can be very cold in the hostel (the room has AC and electric blanket, but it can still be pretty cold), especially in the halls. There is no central heating.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness .spacious location everything except the heater
Cons: During our first night the heater did not function it was so cold in the room the heater in the bed is not enough to keep us warm. The toilet though it was clean it stinks maybe because of sewerage problem kristina is super nice and it made our stay comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hostel is located next to the lake - in the very central place, but yet peaceful and amazingly beautiful. Rooms have everything one needs - AC, comfy beds (they even had an electric blanket), electric kettle, towels, slippers. The staff is super kind and they speak very good English. They send a very informative message via booking with all the instructions on how to reach them, which is super helpful. Also, they offer tours around Guilin. The best part is the atmosphere - it's really relaxed and friendly, there's a cat, movies, free herbal tea, books, table football... We really enjoyed our stay there.
Cons: There wasn't hot water when we arrived at night. However, we had hot water during our stay, so I guess it was a mistake or something like that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hostel is the best place to stay in Guilin! 1. It is located 1 min to the nicest view at the canals with ilumination at nights, also 5 min to the Central Square and Pedestrian Street. 2. Also in the hostel they offer breakfast (25¥ - eggs/becon/juice/2toasts/jam/butter/coffee or tea/fruits), lunch and dinner for extra pay. 3. Free towel and slippers 4. Airport express (also you can take shuttle bus from 6.00 to 22.00 for 20¥ from the Guilin Aviation Hotel) 5. The hostel offers different exursions. 6. Room and the bathroom are clean. There is a lobby where can have a rest.
Cons: 1. A little bit cold in winter 2. 100 ¥ deposit for the room key and 20 ¥ for the locker.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very spacious with great wifi and all equipment. Heating matress helped to offset cold temperature. Food is quite good with options for Chinese or International options. Great advice from staff. Movie night was very appreciated by our girls and a nice home feeling. Easy location to walk few minutes to the two lakes and enjoy night lights.
Cons: Temperature in the room was rather cold. Put the air con at max but took a bit of time to be ok. Bathroom very cold
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing, so close to the lakes and pagodas. Also, there are curtains on each bunk for privacy.
Cons: If you need to check out early (before 7:40 am) you need to wake the non-English speaking night watch man.

5.8 Okay
Cons: This is not a hotel that meets the Sheraton standard - Horrifying tour service ! How can Sheraton suggest its clients a tour agency that has a fraudulent tour guide named Chin Chin (English name Jennifer) that overcharges entrance tickets to make extra money? We only realised this, because my daughter speaks mandarin. The Sheraton suggested tour agency sold a private tour for me and my daughter at a fix rate. To avoid any mishaps, every site to visit was planned one day in advance with the English speaking guide Chin Chin (Jennifer), nothing was added during the tour. We left the Hotel late for the tour in the morning, so to compensate for the missed time we removed one of the sites to visit. Once we came back from the tour, the agency required more money because we were late, even though we were not told that the tour ended at a specific time. The guide Chin Chin (Jennifer) was offensive, shouted to us as clients, made plans to shorten the tour without our knowledge as she didn’t want to go to the sites we agreed to visit the day before, gave wrong informations to us, to the driver and to the agency manager. I reported the incidents to one of the Hotel managers who helpfully got in contact with the tour agency manager, who did not find the matter deem of a meeting or worth his attention. Well done.....I strongly suggest that Sheraton kick them out of their Hotel to save themselves a bad reputation and a lot of unhappy client.

They certainly went out of their way to ensure my comfort.
