10.0 Excellent
Pros: Arrived on business, Nicky & Stewart could not have been more helpful, the rooms and premises could not be bettered (I am seasoned traveller). A total recommend all round, my partner and myself will definitely be staying there in the future.
Cons: Nothing to dislike, only drawback for someone travelling on business was the lack of eateries (just one - lovely food, limited menu) & convenience stores (the one in the village closes at 7pm) when walking in the beautiful village.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is lovely, the owners have really gone above and beyond and paid really close attention to detail. My room was spacious and comfortable, it had everything I would expect if I stayed at a hotel. It is a nice modern guest house and the hosts are great. I was worried being a lone traveller out in the sticks, but I felt very safe, It feels like a nice, safe residential area. After reading some other reviews I expected it to be in the middle of the field!! There is a massive Tesco not far from the Guest house that has a great cafe serving hot food in the evening which was great and the host stated the pub is not too far from the hotel. I honestly look forward to staying here again.
Cons: I didn't realise when I booked that there wasn't an ensuite to my room (totally my fault for not checking) my bathroom was just down the hallway. When I was told where my bathroom was I had a bit of dread, however all the other guests were in their rooms and it really wasn't that much bother going down the hall. I believe all the other rooms have an ensuite and I was the only person using the bathroom. It was lovely and clean so I can't complain.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is arguably the best B & B I have ever stayed at. The room was really lovely and big. The bed was nice and comfortable, the best sleep I have had for a long time. The bathroom was massive and had both bath and separate shower. Breakfast was cooked to order (ordered the night before) to a time when you want it. Lovely grounds with wildlife. Would highly recommend it.
Cons: They wasn't anything I didn't like
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: I stayed in the “family room”. The bed is way too hard. When I told the owner he said that it is an orthopaedic mattress which is definitely not needed unless you have particular issues. Concrete is more pleasant. The bathroom is outside the bedroom.
4.6 Okay
Cons: The rooms are extremely cold during night! My friend and i were awakened by the cold!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: room was beautifully decorated and supplied with courtesy water and tea/coffee making facilities Breakfast was well cooked and well presented with a varied choice, using lovely china crockery, ( particularly likes the scrambled eggs and smokes trout) which were taken in the lovely conservatory overlooking the beautiful gardens. The hosts were very accommodating and there to give local advice, we also purchased some free range eggs and their own honey made from bees in their own apiary. we would highly recommend staying at Pointers

Pros: Charming old property
Cons: Our room was up several flights of stairs, no lift
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a beautiful building, old and characterful, but really well done out and looked after. After a long tiring journey, this bright warm, welcoming hotel was perfect. I was looked after brilliantly at reception (I’ve forgotten your name, but thank you so much, you were lovely and I hope the toes heal quickly!) Late supper in the room was superb as was the recommended wine. The bed was sooooooo comfortable it was difficult to drag myself out of it this morning. It’s not often I pass by that part of the country but I’ll most certainly stay there again if I do. Happy happy customer!
Cons: It’s a bit nit picky, but there was no UHT milk in the room for my cup of tea this morning. I didn’t have time to ring down to reception for fresh milk so this alternative would have been nice.

Pros: Location is good

Pros: Excellent breakfast and outstanding workout facilities and pool. Very clean and plenty of free parking.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Not our first stay as the George is our go-to hotel when visiting friends in the area. But this visit was extra special as they were hosting our friends' wedding which we had the great privilege of attending. Everything about this hotel is geared towards the guests having a good time and this stay was no different. Fresh cooked breakfast, friendly staff and a well stocked bar (well, it was until last night). Not tempted to stay anywhere else in Huntington.
Cons: If I really had to find fault I would say the TVs in the rooms are a bit dated. But I'm really having to think about things to criticize. I suppose the one other thing I can think of is, while the rooms are well heated, the corridors aren't but then what do you expect in such an old building?
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in two rooms and the staff were very helpful about arranging for us to move, as original room was not available for the second night. Interesting old building. Friendly, very helpful staff and excellent breakfast.
Cons: Nothing which I can think of.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location is very good, and the room we stayed in was big and quiet. The hotel has a wonderful courtyard if you go for lunch or drinks in good weather.
Cons: There were cobwebs on the windows, and old dust on the furniture. The doors leading to the ground floor rooms had not been cleaned for some time, and the furniture in the lobby is old and uncomfortable. There is no lift and nobody to help with your luggage up a long staircase. The staff tries hard but there are not enough persons to do the job.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Well appointed rooms, nice carpets, warm and cosy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location
5.0 Okay
Pros: THE BREAKFAST WAS FINE BASIC BUT ADEQUATE, THE LOCATION IS PERFECT. THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND THE BAR AREA WAS GOOD ITS A LOVELY BUILDING.
Cons: THE HOTEL IS IN NEED OF REFURBISHMENT ESPECIALLY ROOM 26 , THE ROOM COULD BE PAINTED AND WE COULDN'T OPEN A WINDOW AND IT WAS QUITE DARK IN THE ROOM, THE SOFA BED IS A NIGHTMARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast
Cons: Bed could be improved Room toilet cysteine very noisy

Pros: Quick to be server, hot, freshly cooked, thick bacon
Cons: nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly and helpful, good location, bed comfortable, nice towels.
Cons: Bedroom needs a lot of TLC particularly plumbing and lighting.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was adequate - served to us by a particularly nice, friendly person. The fact that a new fridge and a beer delivery happened at the same time as our meal and she was on her own did not deter her. Our room was cold when we arrived. When we mentioned this it was immediately put right. Very good fish and chips and steak for supper.
Cons: The rooms and bathrooms could do with a bit of tarting up!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and friendly
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff were friendly and apologetic after we had complained about the shower and cup situation. They of course were helpful when parents room wasnt made up for them on arrival.
Cons: The hotel is a little dated and tired, and for the money, doesn't really give value for money (it's only another ten or so pounds to stay in the marriott up the road). I booked rooms for my parents and I several weeks ago however on arrival (after 5pm) the room I had requested - and had confirmed - for my parents in a quieter part of the hotel, wasnt ready when they went to freshen up. They were moved to another room. On the morning of departure my parents shower didn't work on the hot setting and my room had no cups so I couldn't make a cup of tea.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good, thank you

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Dirty towels on the floor. Stained towel folded on my bed. No food because the gas isn’t working but they do Chinese food? I booked the ‘Deluxe’ room, there was nothing deluxe about it. Shower was boiling I mean far too hot. Couldn’t get it to cool down was a terrible experience. Condensation dripping from pipes in the bathroom. Cobwebs everywhere! And spiders on the ceilings. Teabags and coffee in the room but an empty sugar bowl and no milk. No official check in check out service. As the welcoming book stated “please advise us time of arrival before check in” anyone reading this welcome pack would have already checked in. Breakfast is not available because there is a shortage of staff according to the welcome pack. Full of excuses from the get go. I booked for two nights and just stayed one.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The town is nice
Cons: They show online they have a full pub and restaurant but when you get there the owner lets you know the bar is closed and the kitchen is small so they don't offer any food. You stay in outside chalets which isn't bad except the rooms are a bit dusty and wifi is a hit or miss. Doors you have to lock with the key or they don't actually stay shut. Few spiders to keep you company
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff here were warm and friendly. The food was really good. The room was in a separate building and was spacious although basic. For the price paid I would happily stay here again.
Cons: The Elephant and Castle is tired and really needs some investment to improve it, although the room rates reflect this.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The was nothing around
Cons: Room was cold and there was no pub as it was getting done up but had a look and there was nothing happening she said she told booking.com and was sorry
5.8 Okay
Pros: Room was very basic. Served a purpose. Shower nice and powerful and hot.
Cons: Could do with a little TLC. TV didn’t work, no hot water to basin. Plug sockets operated from extension leads sat on top of the chest of drawers. No spare loo roll so we ran out ! Cobwebs on the walls.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice Warm and spacious.
Cons: Nowhere to buy food.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in and nothing too much trouble. Helpful staff.
Cons: My TV didn't work on arrival but it was sorted quickly. Unfortunately the next morning it wouldn't work again!
5.8 Okay
Cons: Delapidated Needs renovating Heating is ad hoc at best Rust and mould in shower recessed Room number 1 had old vinyl floor, no table, no chair, lots of spiders and shower was unusuable due to water being at one temperature-scalding hot. Hurt my hand trying to avoid being burnt. Upon complaining I was moved to room 12. This had carpet, less spiders, microwave had not been cleaned in weeks. Thankfully the shower water was adjustable but lots of rust and mould on tiles.

Pros: Excellent breakfast and outstanding workout facilities and pool. Very clean and plenty of free parking.
Cons: Rooms next to and across from the cleaning supplies and catering room are very noisy. The door slams every few minutes all the way until 1 in the morning. Request a new room if the room next to you does not have a room number.
