9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a beautiful setting. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: The bedrooms were a little too warm for my taste and the pillows slightly too firm.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Managers in restaurant were great and mass majority of the team were really friendly. 1 older lady who seemed to be a server but a sour note on this.
Cons: Very old fashioned hotel, most of the reception staff weren't great, room was tired and old with poor quality small TV, no fridge, coffee machine in main bar area wasn't in use due to it being broke. filter coffee not the same. Spa facilities were the worst spa facilities Ive ever seen in a 4* hotel, I would recommend this part of the hotel being taken down to a 2* with it being a small room through a sweaty gym with people working out and no sense of relaxation and luxury.

Pros: Peace & quiet , relaxing atmosphere
Cons: Menu in the room wasnt the same as the restaurant.

Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Booked a suite but didn't expect such a huge, luxurious room - don't know if it was just a January deal but we got an absolute bargain! The bathroom with separate dressing room with his and hers wash basins was spotlessly clean. Great big bed with lovely crisp, clean sheets. Very quiet. Breakfast had lots of choice and for gluten free you just need to ask.
Cons: The bacon could have been crispier at breakfast!

Pros: Very comfortable bed, good breakfast, good shower, clean room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was first class and a great place to stay
Cons: What a lovely surprise to find a hotel that lived up to its advertising. Fantastic location, staff, food and accommodation. We will return and encourage friends to stay. Well done the Riverside and Thank you.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I was lucky enough to have been given a suite on the 4th floor, it was huge and beautifully appointed, a massive 4 post bed and loads of space, very nice and the bathroom..... wow and the biggest bonus, it was within budget thank you
Cons: Sadly the breakfast was poor, the food simply is too mass produced and actually only cool to touch/eat, I will go for the continental version next time, I look forwards to a good breakfast but this didn't match the rest of my stay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location next to the river, secure parking, delicious food. We booked a double room but were upgraded to a larger family room on arrival. Friendly staff who made sure that we had a lovely stay.

10.0 Excellent

Pros: Staff were friendly & couldn't have tried harder to sort out food for one of our group for dinner who was working late. The vegetarian pizza was just delicious & so was the fish. So grateful that the kitchen & bar staff were so kind & thoughtful.
Cons: Only negative was that the bedroom was quite large & therefore quite cold, although radiator was working well. Also, I was leaving next morning on a very early train, before normal breakfast times so requested a few biscuits for morning, but sadly these never appeared.

Pros: The friendly staff and food was delicious. Rooms are very cosy and clean. We loved the stay.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Not very much, it was well over priced, for the type of accommodation.
Cons: We paid extra for a larger room, on arrival we found the room wasn't large at all. Some of the staff where rude. But the most disappointing thing of all, was the food was disgusting. And well over priced. It should have been a nice trip for new year it turned out very disappointing and a complete waste of money.

Pros: Staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was fab, tea coffee, biscuits, towels and shower gel supplied, warm and clean, food was just absolutely amazing, big portions, great flavours nice eating area, breakfast was also very tasty and a good size with plenty to choose from, had pool table and darts which we had a go off, could not fault this place. Also great location, easy to find, and some nice places to walk, I would highly recommend
7.0 Good
Pros: Located a short drive out of Kendal, but we knew this when we booked and liked the quieter area. Nicely presented inn, popular with locals. Nice, welcoming bar and restaurant area. Staff all friendly and happy to help. Good breakfast. Tea and coffee, with nice biscuits, were in the room.
Cons: Although the room was clean and well maintained it was very small with no wardrobe, just hooks/rails on the wall with hangers. Single glazed window looked directly across to the window of another room, no net/voile on the window for privacy. The quilt on the bed was warm enough but not large enough to cover us adequately all night.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfasts, small room but comfy bed
Cons: No adverse comments
4.2 Okay
