Pros: Very clean room, good location, even the shared bathroom is also very nice. The hostal is taken good care of.
Cons: The plastic under the sheet is a bit uncomfortable. It's noisy at night, but it's inevitable because of the location.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was good. Price was good.
Cons: They do not speak English. Their location is a little seedy if that bother you. The walls are thin, if you´re a light sleeper it may be a problem.
4.4 Okay
Pros: The hotel staff were friendly and the hotel was placed in the center of Madrid. Te rooms were tidy and cleaned daily.
Cons: The hotel staf didn't know English and this was a bit difficult as were able to communicate easily. We booked a non-smoking room and we got a smoking room instead. The air-conditioning devices were not taken care of and the circulated air smelled not so nice. Near by the hotel, on the same street there were prostitutes and I don't think it's appropriate for the prestige of the hotel.

Pros: The best of this place is the location. Even though the name says Gran Via the location is not Gran Via. It is in Chueca and we love staying at Chueca. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: We didn't like that the name of the place is misleading because is not located in Gran Via but in Chueca. The room was super small and the bathroom very tiny. The room was literally behind the front desk therefore you can't rest well as you want because you get to hear all the conversations that take place at the front desk. Another thing we didn't like was that we asked one of the front desk ladies to arrange a taxi pick up for us (at the time to leave) and it was a private company (not a taxi) the one that picked us up and the problem with this is that they charge us more than the flat rate that the taxis in Madrid charge from the City center to the airport. Taxi's charges a flat rate is 30.00 euros and the company that picked up us charged us 50.00 euros. This could have been avoided if they had arrange a taxi as we asked them.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location is great, extremely central. Close to town centre and in a nice neighbourhood. Metro station just around the corner to get you anywhere you need to go in the town centre. Nice bars and food locations nearby. Hostel friendly and secure. Comfortable bed, clean and accessible.
Cons: If you’re a light sleeper or and extremely tall person I would not recommend this place. You can literally hear everything, from the hostel doorbell to the people talking in the room next door. Beeping cars and people partying late at night in neighbouring apartments are well heard. The bathroom is minuscule, my boyfriend is 6ft 7 and had to squirm around the shower and toilet.
5.8 Okay
Pros:
Cons: I have paid very high price may be due to last moment booking. It should not cost you more than 80 euros. Location of property is 10mins walkable distance from center

Staff is very friendly, extremely helpful and quick to resolve issues. This place gives you the luxury of time - even the furthest major site is only 15 mins away.
Cons: The place is a little rough around the edges and a bit run down. Bed was far from the most comfortable. Noise/conversations from adjacent rooms can be heard quite clearly. Had a lovely antique cupboard on the room but not the most practical. Space could have been better utilized by providing a luggage/suitcase stand and small hanging unit instead. Bathroom was a poor design and a little run down. But all of this is more than made up for by the exceptional location.

Pros: The location of the accommodation was perfect. The room was absolutely clean and the staff was super friendly. :)
Cons: The water pipe lines may need renovation as the constant leaking or whatever noises were disturbing our sleeps all night long. If anyone had a shower or flushed the toilet at the end of the corridor could be heard in our room and the dripping noise never stopped after. We paid breakfast included but I never had such bad quality food in my life. It was inedible. Really. From the next morning we bought our own breakfast in the supermarket. It doesn't take much effort to provide with a lot nicer food to the guests.

Pros: We were waiting a simple room for that price but it has a private bathroom, private microwave, toaster and plates. Also AC was included in the room and it was working when we get there, that was a really nice touch. It totally worth the price.

Pros: I don't like nothing
Cons: Was terrible. When we enter into the hotel what we saw was a prostitue scene between customer, prostitute and the boss of the hotel. When we get into the room, the smelt so bad. Than bad than we decided in the moment to went out of the hostel.
I'll never repeat. Terrible exoerience

Pros: We were waiting a simple room for that price but it has a private bathroom, private microwave, toaster and plates. Also AC was included in the room and it was working when we get there, that was a really nice touch. It totally worth the price.
Cons: Not very important but staff's English is not the best but OK and when we get to the hostel we ringed the bell but they didn't hear so we had to call them.

Pros: That price for that location - best deal. Good metro connection. Everything is nearby.
Cons: Internet is very very very bad! I couldn't call my family from my room. They wrote on site that they offer free WiFi in every room but it is unusable. It is one WiFi for all rooms and it is very slow. 90% of time WiFi internet was down. Also, even if you close doors and windows you can hear everything from outside. Their staff doesn't know english, we had to use Translate app to communicate with them.

Pros: Location is very good if you need to take a train in Atocha Station. It is just across the "ronda". And, also just across the street from the wonderful Reina Sofia Museum (one of my favorites). It is quite cheap, if you are in a budget.

Pros: Very good location near Atocha train station. I only stayed one night when I was going to Toledo the next morning. Had booked a single room with shared bath. It is probably not a hostal I would book for many days, but for a single night it is perfectly OK. Especially when considering the price!

Pros: Location is very good if you need to take a train in Atocha Station. It is just across the "ronda". And, also just across the street from the wonderful Reina Sofia Museum (one of my favorites). It is quite cheap, if you are in a budget.
Cons: Building needs a lot of work and restoration. The hostel is on the 6th floor, and the lift is in between floors, so you'll have to carry your suitcase upwards to get the lift, and up or downwards to get to the hostel. The place is a hostel in a flat. The room I stayed in was very small, but it had a quite decent bed, and a small desk.

Cons: Nothing. Considering the price, I didn't expect much else than a good bed to sleep in.

Cons: Fingers on the wall. Dirtiness on the back of the bed. Dirtiness in general.
4.2 Okay
Pros:
Cons: The rooms didn’t correspond to the ones in the pictures! The room was very small and dirty! There was a closet and it was broke! You had to do some trick to close the closet’s door! The sheets and the coverlet were washed but it had some stains on it! The cleaning towels were changed every day but it also had some stains and some were ripped! You could hear everything from other rooms. The toilets were very dirty! I had to buy some cleaning products and clean the toilet every time I wanted to use it!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing, we left. We had prepaid also so a waste of money
Cons: We have stayed in numerous hostels and know what to expect but this was very rough. Super small room. No AC in Madrid and Madrid was over 90f. Super small window with NO breeze. My fault, I should have read the fine print. Not easy to find. Beds were lumpy and hard.
