Pros: Overall this hotel was fantastic. The staff was as friendly and helpful as you could ask for. My husband and I were traveling with four children (ages 8,7,6, and 2) and the value was amazing. I never review anything online but the experience was so good I felt it necessary this time. The fact that there were drinks and popcorn in the lobby the entire time was awesome especially with kids. Breakfast was awesome and offered SO much more than normal hotels do. Plus the "kickback" at 5:30 was our dinner each night. I know for some it might not be their ideal dinner if they are on vacation but traveling with the kids we didn't want to have to go out and the "kickback" offered enough options for everyone to have a full meal. We don't really drink but if you add breakfast, dinner, popcorn as a snack, unlimited soft drinks, and the 3 free "alcoholic beverages" up the value was amazing. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. The rooms were clean and comfortable also. Just a great stay all around.

Pros: The hotel and staff are beautiful and amazing. But when we got to our room it was fairly warm. We called down to the concierge and asked that someone come look into the issue. We left for the afternoon and when we returned there was a note sarying someone had come to fix the problem. Two additional requests later and it was still around 80 in our room. Staff didn't even call to see if we were satisfied (after 3 requests). Difficult to sleep and not enjoyable.

The Jung hotel opened during the Jazz Age with live music offerings and quickly became the most prestigious hotel in New Orleans. Through the years, the hotels most famous attribute was its rooftop Tulane Ballroom which played host to numerous Mardi Gras balls, grand cotillions, proms and a 1964 appearance by President Lyndon Johnson.Today the Jung Hotel anchors Upper Canal Street and sits at the heart of the areas resurgence.

Pros: Great service, attentive, comfortable bed with fantastic views of the city from huge windows in the room. The room itself was nice and large and came equipped with a coffee maker and small fridge. Bathroom could use some updating (tub/shower) but was certainly adequate with decent amount of counter space. We didn't eat in the onsite restaurant, but did have cocktails and snacks at the bar. Great time there with drinks made to order and delicious small plates to share. The bar staff were friendly, served impeccable drinks and couldn't have been more accommodating. Hotel also has a Starbucks inside with full service and selection as you would find in an offsite Starbucks store. Loved our stay at the Marriott on Canal Street and can't wait to return!!

Pros: My girlfriend and I went there for Mardi Gras, and it was ideally located - near all of the parades, but far away from the French Quarter that we didn't get a bunch of drunk idiots yelling (although it still sometime happened, which is not the hotel's fault). That being said, it is within 5 minutes walking distance of the middle of the French Quarter.
The room was small but very nice (the building is 100 years old). It was also very clean and the staff was overall friendly. For Mardi Gras they give you a wrist band so you can come into the hotel late at night (although they were a bit spotty on checking).
Overall, a good place to stay (if you don't mind driving through the one-way streets of downtown New Orleans). You could do a lot worse, especially for Mardi Gras. 4/5 stars.

We were right on the edge of Bourbon St. and Canal St., but also close to the Superdome where we attended the US Women's' soccer game! We were able to check in an hour early and when we were leaving the doormen called for us a cab. Very nice experience and would stay again in the future! Definitely take a cab to/from hotel! It was a $36 flat rate and well worth it because they pick you up and drop you off exactly where you need.

We went to our room and were very happy to have a great view from our room. The Mississippi is truly a major waterway.
The hotel is on a very quiet side street and connects directly onto Canal Street, and is edging the French Quarter. We made use of the trolleys on Canal to connect to the French Market and the Garden District.
There are many great restaurants and night spots within an easy walk, and great shopping very nearby. There is a very large Casino across the street.

Pros: I really enjoyed the rooftop pool area and getting coffee in the great coffee shop downstairs. The hotel had a bit of a funky vibe but still a little luxurious. I enjoyed the atmosphere and it really seems they pay attention to what people are looking for on vacation

Pros: My husband and I stayed at the Ace for three nights in July. We had read some reviews about poor AC, so I was concerned that we may not have the most comfortable room. I was wrong. Our room was great and COLD (in the best way). Check in was way and pleasant. The coffee shop and restaurants connected to the hotel, as well as the shops like Freda, were great.
The lobby is a popular hangout and had an awesome reggae band Saturday night. The pool area was busy but also pleasant.
Clean room. Comfy bed. Highly recommend.
"Located in French Quarter, this hotel is within a 5-minute walk of Canal Street, Royal Street and Bourbon Street. Harrah's New Orleans Casino and Jackson Square are also within 10 minutes. New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal is 20 minutes by foot. "

Pros: Every aspect of the hotel's design seemed well thought out. The room was on the smaller side but so well designed, laid out, and furnished that it wasn't cramped and seemed perfectly sized. It was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the availability of good coffee and pastries in the morning from the lobbying was a well appreciated touch.
