Pros:
The Citroen Cactus that I rented was a good car it performed well on the roads and it was good on gas mileage. The staff at Sixt were helpful and courteous.Cons:
I hate the expensive zero liability insurance that they charge it doubled the price of the rental on top of what I paid to Kayak. This was way too expensive. I can understand a couple of hundred dollars for insurance but really 500-600 dollar more was insane. I know rental car insurance in Europe is expensive for travelers but this was way out of bounds. I will not be using Sixt again for this reason, I had a better experience with Europcar.9.6 Wonderful

We rented on the French side of GVA, which was a bit hard to find. There was a wait at the counter, but the staff member was very helpful to us. There were detailed instructions on avoiding the Swiss toll roads, and finding the rental return, which was much appreciated.Cons:
The car was parked in an awkward/dark spot in the garage, so we could not look at the car very completely when we started the rental.6.4 Okay

Cons:
There apparently is a French and Swiss side to the airport with car rentals at both places. The French side is smaller with less car but maybe a better deal. I rented a small suv because I was going skiing. They did not have that car but they “upgraded” me two classes to a luxury wagon without AWd. It worked for this trip but was not what I wanted. Also, the road signs and gps are not clear how to get back to the French side. We almost missed our plane. Found it by accident and not following what the signs would indicate10.0 Wonderful

J'ai réservé le véhicule à mon nom. Un ami a pu récupérer le véhicule avant que j'arrive, sans mon permis de conduire, en mettant le sien et sa carte de crédit... Qui serait alors responsable ? Le réservataire, le propriétaire du permis ou celui de la carte ? Aucun effort pour expliquer le système de rachat de franchise, ils préfèrent qu'on rapidement et donc sans. Dans l'ensemble le personnel est assez désagréable... Le tarif annoncé sur le site est sans tax, sans licence...Thrifty

The rental company didn't accept visa debit card. The rental was actually done by hertz. And from my experience hertz is very ridge and not friendly. I who'd prefer to know these things in advance.10.0 Wonderful

No windshield washer fluid, was a real problem driving in bad weather on the highway. I guess that's something I assumed would be there. Unfortunately, this is not the first time. Service not nearly as helpful as usual. In the past we have made an effort to rent from Hertz because of the extra effort they have made at this location. This time they made out the whole contract and we were about to sign when we noticed it was 300 € over our reservation price. Had to re-do. Price was already about 50% higher than what we usually pay at this location (Geneva airport, French sector) Also, we seemed to remember always getting snow tires in the winter as part of the standard package. The online rental process is completely misleading and full if miscommunication (on purpose?): The pick up location was on the French side of the airport, but until the last step of the booking process Kayak and Carrentals stated "Swiss side" Usually no vignette for Swiss highways is included on the French side, so you pay CHF 40 extra The car did not come with winter tires, not sure thst is legal8.4 Very Good
