Pros: The beach was nice. The Italian Restaurant was adults only. We ate there all 3 nights of our stay. The staff was great and the resort very clean, as we have mostly found to be true in Mexico.
Cons: We were there celebrating our 35th anniversary. This was not the place for a tranquil vacation. There were lots of children and families. They bused in people on Saturday, and picked them up on Sunday. The resort was very crowded, particularly the pool. The food was mostly buffets. The snack bar served a greasy hamburger that smelled great and tasted even better.

Pros: Great service, outstanding food, beautiful resort. Many other guests were raving too. Best beachfront hotel for the money we've ever stayed in. Will definitely be back.

Pros: I loved the hammock in the rooms. Cute and simple idea but it was welcoming and comforting. The all white accents were nice. A couple pops of color would do that room wonders!
Cons: This is just a small review as a suggestion. The shower curtain was so cheap for such a cute small room. The water pressure was very low which made my shower times longer. I hate feeling like I'm wasting water. I know it's hard to avoid but I noticed a trail of small ants in my room. It didn't bother me because the openness of Mexico is something I love about it... I was worried about them getting into my shoes and luggage though. I enjoyed myself though. I'll be back.

Pros: We stayed at Mercurion first and rhen went to a fancy timeshare resort. Much preferred Hotel Mercurio. The location is in the middle of the gay district, clean rooms, free breakfast, and a staff that is friendly and does everything to make you free at home.

Pros: We loved the whole experience with our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 adult children). It was a clean, beautiful resort with great food and wonderful staff. We especially liked the prime-rib dinner in the buffet restaurant, and enjoyed an excellent Italian meal at the specialty restaurant. Great service everywhere. Compliments to everyone.
Cons: The first night was a bit noisy with a graduation party, but they were gone the next day.

Pros: We've usually been to adult only resorts so we were worried about all the kids but it wasn't bad at all. This resort was great for the value. The music can get loud on one side of the pool area, but if you're on the other side, it's fine. We were also on the 6th floor and didn't hear any of the late music.
Cons: It is far from downtown and traffic can build up on the one road. So if you wanted to go there, plan a full day down there.

Pros: Everything is there. Dont need to go off site if you dont want to. Few vendors. nice beach and public beach nearby. Four star hotel with all kinds of distractions and ways to spend your money. Nightly entertainment is on par with others. Great pools. Great location fabulous rooms - get the ones with sunset sun. They are warmer
Cons: Fighting for beach chairs was a gigantic pain. why do people 'claim' chairs and not show up at all. Introduced American competitive attitudes which intrudes on the vacay experience.

Pros: We were upgraded for our stay to a grand master suite which was phenomenal! We loved the view from the wrap around balcony and the room was very comfortable. The pool and beach were also fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay overall and had a great time.
Cons: The food was decent but not overly impressive, especially for the price of the all-inclusive. The reservations at the restaurants booked up prior to our arrival so we never had the chance to eat anywhere except the buffet, so book your reservations early. Overall a great time though! Would definitely go back.

Pros: The location is really good. The rooms are clean (our maid was a delight; she worked hard and the cleanliness of the room showed it). The hotel staff is dynamite. The hotel is older and showing some signs to wear-and-tear, this is to be expected along the ocean. I would definitely stay at the Tropicana again!
Cons: The restaurant and bar need some special attention! Some of the staff, in these locations, is ill-tempered and uncaring; this was in sharp contrast to the graciousness of the rest of the staff. Food choices were limited and the restaurant was not open for dinner. The Tropicana, to be a major hotel contender in P.V., needs to attend to their food and beverage departments.

Pros: For the most part, the staff was wonderful, and especially helpful and friendly were the guys supplying the pool and beach chairs and umbrellas. Also a special mention for Marcella. She does an excellent job of keeping the beach and pool areas in order, while also having a smile and being sociable. I don't want to forget our maid. She took great care of our room.
Cons: Just a few things I didn't like. The internet service is not good. It's bad enough to have to go to the lobby for service, but even that was spotty. The staff in the restaurant were impatient and a little cranky at times, but I think this might be because, in my opinion, the restaurant is understaffed. Just one more thing. We have some friends that live in Puerto Vallarta, and wanted to have them up to our room to have a cocktail before we all went out to dinner. They were turned away, and think that was rediculous.

Pros: The staff is excellent.
Cons: This is not the place for someone who is well traveled. Even the most exclusive rooms are basic, No tubs, no frills. Spa is a joke, Lack of service and amenities. Pools are small and crowded with children, Beach is insanely small and rocky. Very limited lounging on the beach side. The place is covered with Timeshare families. So large parties with many screaming kids! Not the place for Honeymooners, Young singles/ couples, or a relaxing getaway. Best for a family of 5 on a budget.

Pros: Jorge who served drinks/food on the beach was excellent. Isabelle at front desk was very helpful. The bellman were very kind and held our bags for 3 days which was great! The servers at breakfast buffet were exceptional - able to order specialty coffees and made to order eggs, etc. Thank you!
Cons: Thought we had booked a "deluxe" room with balcony. Learned upon check in that "deluxe" does not guarantee balcony or bed type. Rooms could use some updating. Beach service varied greatly depending on server. Great location! Great for large group - we had 25!

Pros: Never any difficulty with language. Met at the door by name. Check in was prepared, easy and painless. Corner accommodations on third floor had a wonderful view. Everything inside was clean and working in perfect order. All kitchen appliances, silverware, and dishes were of excellent quality. The tv was not working properly but as soon as it was reported.....the entire tv was replaced. Wonderful relaxing experience......

Pros: The staff were all very accommodating, friendly and happy to help. The rooms were clean and well kept through the entire stay. The location was great and absolutely beautiful.
Cons: The food wasn't very great. It seems the kitchen is not the cleanest of places. We found fish bones in the pork and the lettuce definitely got me sick. I spent 12 hours feeling the revenge, if you know what I mean. I would save the money on the all inclusive. Also, I would recommend the beer or simple drinks. Anything like margaritas or bloody Mary's tasted awful.
